Duurzame Bolidtop® systemen Duurzaam bouwen, sustainability, life-cycle cost, milieu-effecten. Tegenwoordig zijn deze begrippen niet meer weg weg te denken in de bouwwereld. Ook Bolidt staat hierbij stil met haar Bolidtop systemen.

Bolidtop systemen zijn op 4 manieren duurzaam: • buitengewoon lange levensduur; • relatief weinig onderhoud en reiniging; • gebaseerd op natuurlijke grondstoffen / materialen die ‘moeder aarde’ niet uitputten; • geproduceerd en aangebracht met een minimum aan afval en energieverbruik.

Buitengewoon lange levensduur De levensduur van Bolidtop systemen is net zo lang als het gebouw blijft bestaan. De Bolidtop vloerafwerking is onlosmakelijk verbonden met de (betonnen) constructie. De aangebrachte Bolidtop vloerafwerking kan altijd op een snelle, relatief goedkope en zeer effectieve manier overlaagd of van een nieuwe verzegeling worden voorzien, zonder dat deze oorspronkelijke afwerking daarvoor hoeft te worden verwijderd. Zo kan op ieder gewenst moment de vloer naar believen worden overlaagd of verzegeld, omdat: • er slijtage is opgetreden die u wilt ‘repareren’; • u een nieuwe uitstraling/kleur/dessin wenst; • u door verbouwing de vloer moet repareren en van een nieuwe finish wil voorzien (denk b.v. aan het steeds verplaatsen van wanden in ziekenhuizen).

Dit biedt grote voordelen t.o.v. plakvloeren (pvc, lino, rubber, e.d.), omdat die altijd in hun geheel, dan wel in banen of stroken tot op de ondergrond verwijderd moeten worden. Dit is duurder, duurt langer en past vanuit de milieugedachte niet in ‘duurzaam bouwen’ (ook al kunnen zulke plakvloermaterialen dikwijls wel gerecycled worden, maar dat kost ook weer een hoop energie…!) Je kunt dus stellen dat de Bolidtop vloeren steeds een nieuw leven kunnen krijgen en daardoor zo buitengewoon duurzaam blijken, het zogenoemde ‘second life’ idee.

Onderhoud en reiniging Bolidtop systemen hebben bij het normale gebruik waarvoor ze bedoeld zijn weinig onderhoud nodig, omdat ze weinig slijtage vertonen. En mocht onderhoud in de vorm van herstel van bijvoorbeeld de verzegellaag nodig worden, dan kan dit snel en relatief goedkoop gebeuren, zonder het hele systeem te vervangen. Qua reiniging zijn de Bolidtop systemen zoals bekend dagelijks zeer eenvoudig en overwegend droog tot licht vochtig m.b.v. microvezeldoek te reinigen (“moppen”) met van tijd tot tijd een natte reiniging met reinigingsmiddel m.b.v. éénschijfsmachine of schrobzuigmachine. Er hoeven dus geen beschermlagen (waslagen) op, die regelmatig gestript en vernieuwd moeten worden, wat een aanzienlijke milieubelasting en hoge kosten met zich mee brengt.

Thematische drijfveren & toekomstbeelden Natuurlijke grondstoffen: Bolidtop systemen bestaan voor meer dan 80% uit grondstoffen die vrij en in grote hoeveelheden in de natuur voorkomen; het delven daarvan is dus relatief eenvoudig en het put onze aarde niet uit. Tot deze grondstoffen behoren: • water: de verzegellagen zijn watergedragen; • zand en natuurlijke vulstof: als vulstof of als instrooiing wordt zand in allerlei gradaties gebruikt; • instrooimiddelen: bauxiet, mandurax, carborundum, split, e.d. komen in overvloed in de natuur voor en worden eenvoudig en goedkoop gedolven; • plantaardige olieën: het grootste gedeelte van onze compounds is gebaseerd op het gebruik van deze plantaardige olie, gewonnen uit veel voorkomende planten over de gehele wereld verspreid; • natuurlijke pigmenten: afkomstig uit natuurlijke mineralen), dus niet afkomstig uit een chemisch productie proces.

Productie en applicatie Het belangrijkste milieuvoordeel van de productie is dat Bolidt geen chemisch reactorprocessen (onder hitte) kent. Productie houdt in het koud blenden (mengen) van alle tot een productrecept behorende onderdelen. Dit betekent minimale milieubelasting als het om energieverbruik gaat.

Omdat er altijd ‘just in time’ en telkens voor een specifieke opdracht wordt geproduceerd ontstaan bovendien geen onnodige voorraden en is er ook geen afval (in de vorm van te veel geproduceerd materiaal).

Bij de applicatie van de systemen worden tenslotte alle meegeleverde materialen netjes opgebruikt en is er geen afval: alle A- en B Componenten worden ter plaatse gemengd en verwerkt. (N.b. na menging van de componenten en uitharding van het mengsel is het materiaal een normaal bouwproduct geworden, dus net als beton en zand-cement).
