We have been confident in the Bohrson crew to help find us females in the fall and bulls in the spring, sight unseen, as they know the type of cattle we are striving to produce. Ultra Livestock has been an active breeder of Black and Red Simmentals for over 20 years. Striving to produce a functional cow that will produce bulls to enhance our customers’ program. We put our pairs out on native and tame pasture June 1st and then wean September 16th. The bulls are fed a bull grower stage one pellet along with silage and hay. We have selected bloodlines for temperament, soundness, fertility, fleshibility and longevity. We have calve ease bulls on offer as well.

We would like to thank our customers for their loyalty and support over the years and invite you to attend the 2020 sale on February 24th. We know you are presented with many opportunities to purchase bulls in our area, but we sure appreciate that you come to source your herd bulls from our group of breeders. With a diverse group, there is something for everyone along with the added bonus of a 1 in 60 chance to win the use of a 20’ Sundowner trailer for a year!! Our bull pen consists of a number of performance bulls as well as a few with calving ease built in. There are some bulls who will not be quite a year old sale date, but they have the quality just like the older aged bulls to be ready to breed when you crack open the gate to your cows! We weaned the bulls in September and have since been bringing them along with longevity and soundness in mind. They run in a 12 acre field and are bucket fed the Masterfeeds bull ration along with chopped hay and silage. They are an athletic, free moving group with an abundance of hair. We like the shape they are in and hope you appreciate our commitment to provide you with a bull who will be an avid breeder. Welcome from Black Chrome Livestock - Jill McLerie & Cache McLerie Welcome to the 2020 Ultra/Czech-Mate bull sale. Once again, we here at Black Chrome Livestock are honored to be a part of this sale for the second year, as guest consigners, offering a select set of strong Black Angus bulls. We have had a solid long-term friendship with both the Chalack and Smith families and also have done business with them for a number of years. Here at Black Chrome Livestock one of our main focuses on the purebred side of our operation is producing quality over quantity. We come from a strong commercial cow herd background, where we are no stranger to selling liner loads of steer calves, in the fall and getting paid by the pound. Along with the importance of creating a uniform package for the customer. When breeding our purebred cows, we try to consider options to meet the criteria for both the purebred and commercial cattleman. We use a very extensive A.I. program which allows us to breed to unique outcross pedigrees. Our goal is to produce cattle that are sound from the ground up, ones that have tons of rib shape, and length of body, along with enough bone mass and eye appeal. We seek to breed for temperament, longevity, natural muscling and fleshing ability. Our bulls are weaned the last week
of August and grown in a large pen. They are fed a total mixed ration of silage, hay and 32% supplement, along with half their barely ration. The rest of the barley ration is bucket fed. We have used him heavily in our heifer pen two years in a row and have had great success. A bull has bred strong for us and will continue to. 71E is Improving cattle with sound feet and legs, that dark red pigment and calve ease without losing performance. Approval’s dam is one of the hottest and well-known red females in the Simmental breed, continuing to raise sale-topping progeny. We sold limited semen on him in 2018 averaging $225 a dose. We are offering 100 doses on Black Gold Approval 71E for the 2020 breeding season.

Liberty is our youngest sale bull this year, just a mid March born son of Mandako, he has enough size and stature to stand in the sale with his pen mates. Operated by the Pieschel and Erickson family where they run approximately 150 Simmental Angus cross commercial cattle and around 30 purebred Black Angus and Simm/Angus cows. Pieschel Farms have purchased quality Simmental bulls from both the Smith and Chalack families in the past and are very excited to offer these 3 Simmental/Angus commercial heifers in their 2020 sale. Born from mid-March to mid-April 2019. All out of the same Simm/Angus bull whose calves are all very distinctive in their look and out of solid black cows with great udders, whose greatest qualities is their ability to have small birthweight calves with big performances year after year. These heifers would make great replacement females or future receipt cows.
