Sterling Collection will assist in delivering cattle to central points in Canada to a maximum of 300km at a cost of $75/animal. Delivery is at the seller’s convenience but will be organized as soon as possible following the sale. Extra costs will be responsible of the purchaser. All risk is assumed by the buyer as the sale concludes.

On behalf of the Sterling Collection sale group and all of us at Bohrson Marketing Services, we are very excited to welcome you to this exciting event - the longest running female sale in Canada. This group of breeders has established a long term history of excellence through this sale and their own bull offerings. With the familiar returning faces to the sale, we also have a past consignor returning in Serhienko Cattle Co and two new consignors in Sliding Hills Charolais and Johnson Ranching - talk about a complementary group of breeders and people to continue and build the Sterling tradition. Also new this year is a relocation of the sale to the farm at Horseshoe E Charolais - Layne and Paula and family have hosted their annual bull sale at the farm since 2019 and with that great facility and atmosphere it just made sense to host the Sterling as well.

The Charolais breed is poised to continue its enviable position in the business and every other breed takes note. With the power of the tan and silver hide, strong commercial acceptance, and resulting strong bull sales, there has been many new breeders jumping onboard the excitement. The following pages represent big time opportunity to expand your existing herd or get started in the breed with females backed by strong cow families, proven sires, and functional type, along with coming from an exceptional group of people that has a long history of customer satisfaction.

With the many half siblings and cow/ heifer calf pair options it is easy to see the production ability of these cattle - it isn’t a “one of these, one of those” approach. In fitting with past Sterling tradition, there is a special herdsire prospect offered for sale this year and he is easy to find as Lot 1 - homo polled, breed leading genetics, and a memorable look.

We encourage you to visit with the consignors and ourselves at Bohrson Marketing leading up to December 7th and the gates are open to tour these cattle in their home environments prior to heading to Kenaston, SK to prepare for the sale. 812F Farrah is a deep bodied, heavy Justice daughter. She is a perfect uddered cow with excellent feet and legs. 812F is out of a heavy milking cow family. The Justice daughters are going to have longevity- they are structurally flawless and fertile. She is bred to the easy calving homozygous polled Legend son Huckleberry. Exposed to Beck’s Tower 720E from May 15 - July 15. 239K Kiara is an outcross pedigreed Outlaw daughter- be prepared to sell herd bulls out of this female! The Outlaw daughters are going to be great females and 239K is no exception. She is easy on the eye, soft made, and has lots of hair.

447E Emily is a cow that we leased from Westdale Cattle Co. and has been nothing but exceptional since we got her. The lease is now expired and what an opportunity it has created for her new owner. Her first calf was our high selling Maverick son to a leading commercial breeder. Last spring, her LT Nationwide son was our high seller to Johnson Ranching. The heifer calf at side is sired by PCC BRCHE White Bear, and is as sweet as they come. As you can see it doesn’t matter who you breed her to, the calf will be outstanding. What may be the most exciting thing is, she is bred to the rising star of the breed, WC Redemption. She could be carrying the next great herd bull or donor female.

208K This sweet young heifer has all the qualities of a show heifer backed by maternal power. Anytime you can get Berkley in a female pedigree it gets exciting. When you add the power of Sparrows Escobar to the mix you get a unique combination of power and style. There is not a flaw in this heifer. She has perfect structure, she is angular and feminine with exceptional teat size and placement. As a bonus, she is already tie broke and loves the attention. She would be a great addition to the heifer pen and could even hang a halter on her next summer. All the work is done. Jump on board!

Keeley is eye popping! Stunning! She is showy, correct, eye appealing, and incredibly deep, all in a very attractive package. She is strong, strong polled and out of a heavy milking Legend daughter. If you are looking for a show heifer, Keeley will be competitive.

Kenzie is a very thick made, heavy haired Outlaw daughter who is attractive and correct. This heifer has an impeccable pedigree and all the qualities to make her a show female and an amazing producer.

Kiwi is a granddaughter of the high selling Jehu bull. She is strong polled, has lots of length, and loads of performance, as well as being out of a top end cow family with very good udders. This heifer will make a good, strong cow. The Bono calves have a lot of performance and growth.

Kass is the first Elevate female offered for sale from here, he is a Tank son out of the Tyra Dam in Circle Cee’s flush program. This heifer calf is a No Brainer, every female the 180B Dam has had has been used in the 4H program as well as several other shows, winning numerous Banners. Kass and her Dam could have and probably should have been showed as a pair.

Barbra-Ann 15J is a stylish big volume Fortress daughter with his mellow disposition. Her dam is a very nice Zeal daughter that goes back to 24B, a very good Pastor daughter we sold a number of years ago in the Sterling Sale to Good Anchor Charolais. 15J will be very productive in her life time raising heifers and bulls in the top of your pen. Tina 37J is a long sided angular Bojangles daughter that goes back to a long line of solid producing females in our herd. Bojangles himself was Farmfair Reserve Champion Bull and Agribition Junior Champion Bull. AI Bred to LT Affinity 6221 Pld on April 4. All of the females we have consigned to the Sterling Sale this year trace back to Pastor on the bottom side. It wasn’t planned that way but when we selected some of our best that’s the way it is. Bo-Peep 28J is among the first of the Bojangles females to be offered. Bojangles is working really well for us leaving us a very consistent set of calves with superior foot structure. Bo-Peeps dam is a solid producer and 28J’s maternal sister is in our show string his fall. She is bred to Copperhead, a very good calving ease Apex son that has left some top end calves in our pens his first year. Bred to MVY Copperhead 23H on April 10 (Safe). Exposed to MVY Copperhead 23H from April 21 - June 15.

Shania 328J is a direct daughter of our new donor SHSH Shania 9E. 9E was shown successfully as a bred and first calf heifer with her first calf selling to Pugh Farms at the Agribiton Sale in 2019. 9E has exceeded our expectations every year and we feel she may be one of the most powerful females we have raised. 328J resembles her dam in many ways and being sired by none other than Duty-Free makes for great opportunity. Bred early to LT Authority, a bull we have used very successfully on our heifers. AI Bred to LT Authority 7229 on April 7 (Safe). No exposure.

Power, Presence, and Big EPD’s! Maternally made, smooth fronted, soft centered, tons of volume in a moderate sound package. Great temperament, out of a stellar G2 cow that has produced every year. The Royal cow family produces good ones including the HBC Stealth 203K bull in our show string! Royal 117J is bred to do the same with an exciting mating to the CCC WC Redemption bull. 117J boasts an impressive EPD profile being in the top 1% of the breed for WWT and 2% for YW! This is the kind that produces herd bulls! AI Bred to CCC WC Redemption 7143 on April 28 (Safe). No exposure.

Bliss is deep ribbed, correct and very broody. Her mother, 281Z, is a tank of a cow that we purchased out of the Sterling Sale. She produced the $15,000 Stetson bull that topped our sale in 2017. Her sire is HVA Fireball, a high selling son of Duty Free, a bull that is known for an incredible set of breed leading EPD’s. The mating to the new and exciting LT Badge bull will produce a calf with possible curve bending EPD’s. The Badge progeny were the high selling sire group at the Lindskov-Thiel bull sale this past spring topping out at $220,000. Be one of the first to own a Badge calf. Jaw Dropper is just that, and that’s just when you look at her pedigree! Once you look at this female you will really understand her name. Perfectly made, well balanced, feminine, correct and eye appealing- Jaw Dropper is just flat out good! AI Bred to LT Authority 7229 PLD on April 15 (Safe). Jolene is a moderate framed, correct made Architect daughter. The Architect daughters are very good producers with nice udders and and lots of milk. Jolene’s mother is a Winslow daughter and milks heavy. She is bred early to our homozygous polled herdsire Firestone. AI Bred to Cedarlea Firestone 145G on April 6 (Safe). This Jambalaya is HOT! A great pedigreed heifer with an amazing phenotype. This heifer has producer written all over her. The cow family behind this heifer has longevityBKE 1C and 409P both were still producing on this ranch when they were 16, and 66X is still on the go, producing well! J-Lo is a classy, stylish Architect daughter. She is out of the heavy milking Farrah cow. I like this cross- it is well blended and strong polled. Lots of hair on this big powerful Diesel daughter. She is a granddaughter of Sassy Spur, our very successful show female. Jo-Jo is attractive, quiet, structurally correct female that will turn into a good cow. She is a heifer that will cross extremely well with Legend. Jazzy is a very typey Architect daughter who will milk very well with a perfect udder. Her mother can really crank a calf out and her grandmother 610S was a powerful Durango daughter. Jelly Roll is so good! She is big, powerful, has tone of hair, and super structure. Her mother is a picture perfect Escobar daughter. This feminine Diesel daughter has a very bright future ahead of her. Bred specifically to Firestone, this cross will be dynamite. Take a look at her well balanced EPD’s. Jewell is a female that will really grow on you. Her femininity and overall balance make her very attractive. These Dirt Road daughters are proving to be very strong producing females with great udders. Jewell comes out of an extremely strong cow family, all with lots of milk and nice udders. This is only Bonafide daughter we are consigning this year. Bonafide was the high selling bull for Sliding Hills Charolais the year he sold and this year he sired their high selling bull. The Bonafide daughters are heavy milking with superb udders. Joliette is out of a Maverick daughter that also milks well. She is an excellent footed female that will be a top producer. Jupiter is a bigger framed Dirt Road daughter. She is the youngest heifer we are consigning, but a very good heifer. Jupiter is feminine, correct, and backed by a powerhouse pedigree. Her grandmother 5X is the mother of the Smooth Deal bull that was a mainstay for Brian Chrisp and Lakeview Charolais. She is strong polled, has a huge milk EPD, and has brood matron written all over her. AI Bred to Cedarlea Firestone 145G on May 1 (Safe). Exposed to Cedarlea Firestone 145G from May 15 - July 15.

Pride’n Joy is a nice fronted heifer that is sure to impress. She has a nice top and is soft made just a couple of the great traits that Rico passes on to his Progeny. 1125j’S dam is a Chuckwagon daughter who has one of our best 2yr old cows and a good bull in this year’s bull pen as well as 1125J. Exposed to Legacys Grandmaster 63G from March 23 - May 23 (Safe - due January 2023) Jewels as her name suggests is a gem in her own right. Sired by the many time Champion CML Encore 4Y. We love the Encore females here and feel this one will be one outstanding cow. Her dam is a Gridmaker daughter that has a great record here with 3 bulls working in top commercial herds, 4 females retained in our herd, plus a heifer calf in the replacement pen as well as Jewels. 136J will be another Rico/ Chuckwagon combination. This thick deep sided heifer looks to be setting up a real nice udder. She is bred up early to our proven heifer bull Grandmaster. He is a LAE Memphis son that we purchased from Legacy Charolais. We are extremely happy with his calves as many have made the bull many including last year’s high selling bull to XXX Farms. 103J is another feature Rico daughter. The consistency and quality of Rico’s daughters has been outstanding and we continue to use him heavily in our herd. 103J’s dam is a JDF Bartender daughter that has been a solid producer for us here as well. This nice haired heifer will find some friends on sale day and complements our other 3 heifers making what we feel is a very consistent and a solid offering. Right off the top end, Lily is the type of female we strive to produce, a moderate frame with lots of width and volume. Backed up by a pedigree rich in maternal traits, and calving ease, Lily has lots to offer. This HRJ Maverick 556C daughter combines many of the leading pedigrees in the Charolais breed. Being in the top 5% for milk, you know her calf will slip out easily and have all the milk it can handle. Being bred early to our exciting heifer bull LAE Highlight 99H, I am confident this combination will provide trouble free calving and a stylish front pasture calf. This buff colored female has a little red in her pedigree, and may be able to throw some color. All this out of a first calf heifer. We are excited to offer one of the first bred DR Monsoon 45 females to sell. This heifer really exhibits the style and volume her sire is noted for. Backed by a pedigree filled with rock stars, like the breed maker Lt Wyoming Wind, and others like MVY All Star 61A and HC Whirlwind 927W, that combined to produce MGZ Gillette 7E, who continues to crank out the bulls for HEJ Charolais. The sires in the pedigree here are packed with maternal strength, Maverick continues to do a great job here for us, as did the 1114G Dam on here first calf. The 230C granddam has been a good performance producer here, Raya is sound and complete with a ton of rib in a moderate frame she has the foundation of a great cow. The Maverick daughters seem to pattern the same, very well made, heavy muscled with flawless bone structure and great udder development. The 381D dam is a powerful cow, a solid line up of females in the pedigree and notice the dam of the Tandem bull we walked was the first calf of the 352Y cow that ended up in the Springside flush program. Hard to part with this heifer as she has been a favorite all along. The 884F dam was purchased in the sterling and went through the 4H program. She has been a pasture front female as will her daughter Ivy. This heifer is quite a powerhouse yet still very attractive and the quiet temperament we all strive for. The breeding to our latest heifer bull JWX Jimmy is quite exciting as the pedigree reveals no risk, it is proven to work. Bred to JWX Jimmy 946J on May 7 (Safe). Exposed to JWX Jimmy 946J from April - June. We are only offering the best of our heifers, any time there is a female with Cylde in her pedigree offered for sale we recommend to step up and purchase as we lost him to injury and were not able to draw semen on him. Jane was orphaned in the pasture, we left here to fend for herself and she weaned right in with the rest of heifer calves in the group. We cant express enough the importance of maternal strength in these pedigrees. The 539W Dam has been a solid producer to say the least! The Bar J Jolly 47J cow was one of the best in their herd and the Savior bull left us a lot of herd building females here. Jane is an attractive long bodied, deep sided female!
