Welcome to a friendly gathering of Eastern Ontario’s finest people and their incredible Simmental cattle. You’ll find generations of pure and solid quality throughout the offering. From new consignors, to some who have been here from the beginning 47 years ago, I’m confident in saying the 2025 Stars of the Valley offering is one of our brightest offerings to date.
With beef cattle sales at unprecedented highs, there has never been a more exciting time to be a breeder.
I invite you to join us for a Friday night social bound to be full of good times, good food and the best stories about the best cattle among a group of the most humble cattlemen (and women!) you could ever have the pleasure of spending time with.
Thank you to my fellow sale committee, the Bohrson Marketing team, the consignors for bringing their best and I wish all our buyers all the best with their new purchases!
Travis Taillon, Co-chair Sale Committee.
o say the beef industry is hot right now is an understatement. Investments made now in the future females of your herd will pay off in spades in the coming years. The Stars of the Valley consigners have stepped up to the plate to open up their herds in allowing only the best be selected for this sale. You have future donors, show prospects and frozen genetics to choose from. The club is very proud to have one if not the oldest running sales in Canada. The cattle business is a people business and that is something the Valley understands. We hope you can take the time to go over the offering and come to the Friday Social for some fun times and to view the consignments. Looking forward for you to attend our 47th annual sale.
Craig Matthews, Co-chair Sale Committee.

ALLIANCE Special’s Ruby 1
Sire:
Ruby is a different twist to my program but once you see the results you may find it quite interesting. She combines our best purebred and fullblood cow families, with the sire back to Boundary Sarah 7C and the dam being none other than BLI Special 207Z, the foundation of our entire program. Ruby herself is a later born 2023 heifer who was exhibited at N.A.I.L.E. in Louisville at a very young age and was a class winner. She has white on her face and that very rich red colored body. On sale day it will be evident to you that this young cow has an awesome set of feet and legs and exceptional udder quality. She is mated to calve yet this fall to the performance giant Mader Walk The Line and that sets you up to clip a quick coupon with elite genetics throughout.
AI bred to Mader Walk The Line 92J on Feb 2/25.
SNOWDAME Luna 2
Luna is a beautiful, maternally built, polled female and her Electric Avenue mother sure did a great job for her first calf. We are proud to have raised Luna’s sire, Snowdame Jordan, and this is proof of the quality he is producing - his daughters may be his greatest legacy. He calves easy and makes them sound and dark red. Luna’s Electric Avenue dam came from Wolfe’s in Alberta and is also dark red, along with a great udder and here is her carbon copy. Mated to the great Anchor D Imax and due to calve right at 24 months.
Here is a heifer that is hard to part with - a beautiful red heifer out of the great SVS Tycoon 841F and Keitha’s favourite cow, JF Ebonys Joy 1217Y. The Joy cow family has done wonders in the Simmental breed and we showed 1217Y with a lot of success back in her glory days. Now at age 14 and with 18 progeny registered, she is a proven cow that has put daughters into many good programs. Magic has the signature Joy attractiveness, is very long bodied, and has great feet and legs. Early reports on the Lethal Weapon calves are exciting and we feel this mating could be just the ticket with this Tycoon/ Joy combination. Preg checked safe and the veterinarian feels it should be a heifer calf - an easy way to build your own Joy family very quickly. Bred to Ultra/Barlee Lethal Weapon 63L on May 18th (safe and vet feels it is a heifer calf).
Mango Tango is a Gold Key daughter that is really easy doing and has that broody look. She is a heifer that has always excelled since she was a young calf. With her power and performance, I think this is a female that will go on to produce wonderful replacements. The Gold Key females are known to be very productive and her extended pedigree is backed by the popular AI sires Bounty Hunter, Upgrade, and Dream On. She is carrying AI service to the OMF Epic son, Schooley Standout - proven calving ease!
Bred to Schooley Standout 27G on June 13/25. (safe)

Here’s another bred heifer that we are selling to show off the maternal strength of our donor cow Jossette 636J that we purchased at the Anchor D sale is 2023. This dark cherry red, easy keeping heifer Josie 86M is a prime example of what we are breeding at Dunmac Farms. Such an attractive heifer, and an animal who is built for longevity. It’s tough to let these good animals go but we know Josie will represent the Dunmac name where ever she ends up! Bred nice and early to the homo polled Pilot bull for an early January Calf.
Miranda is a dark red, easy to spot kind of heifer. At our Ontario field day this year, many people said she was an eye catcher. Her dam is a 2014 model cow and one of my favourite females in the herd, and she also has our best heifer calf in 2025 - again many people found her on the field day and agreed. We have sold several daughters off this cow family at this Valley sale. Bred to the proven and marketable Anchor D Outlook for an early calf. I think this should work well. Vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold.
AI bred to Anchor D Outlook on March 13/25. (safe)
Exposed to NGDB 80F (Mur) from May 16th to July 15th, 2025.
Mabel is really nice double googled Hefner daughter. Smooth polled with lots of length and made correctly. She’s thick with lots of rib depth and has great feet. She should milk well; this cow family have been consistently good uttered cows. Came from a good blueprint daughter, back to a Barbosa cow we just loved. Lots of calving ease with Mabel so you can cross her with that power bull. Bred to our new heifer bull FGAF Xavier. .
D ROSA 477D FGAF PASSPORT 125B DEEBRAN EXTRA SPECIAL 23S JNR’S TITANIUM DGR CARAMEL 547C
Marley is another well put together Hefner daughter. Smooth polled with alot of thickness and length. Both 25M and 14M complement each other well on how consistent the Hefner really are. Out of another strong cow family that make nice big functional cows, which have longevity and strong udders and great disposition. Marley will turn into a very productive cow and should make some very nice females. Bred to Xavier; should work well polled and come easy.

This heifer is the kind that we Simmental breeders strive to produce. We are fortunate to have access to semen from fellow breeders that allows us to move this breed ahead and I would thank Barry Labatte for putting Canon on the market as it has truly helped my program. Canon on the Special 207Z cow family that produced Dakota Dream has been a home run. Phenotypically 8M really resembles Dream at this stage in her development with her extra length and style and her mating to Bravo should further compliment this as the resulting calf will be closely related to Dream. She is Homozygous Polled boot! We are selling full sibling embryos to these special lot 9 and 10 females as lot 35.
AI bred Champs Bravo on March 25/25
same cow family as Lots 9 & 10
This heifer is certainly one of my favourites. 9M is the twin sister to 8M and as you can see from the pictures, phenotypically they are very similar. 9M is a little softer made with maybe a bit more shape through her hindquarter and she combines that with all the attributes that my Special family is known for. Very attractive front end through her head and neck and extremely sound. Being bred to Guerrero will be easy calving, dark red, and make an excellent addition to any herd. Maternal siblings of both sexes have topped previous versions Stars and the Equation sale. Again she is Homozygous Polled. We are selling full sibling embryos to these special lot 9 and 10 females as lot 35.

Minx is a beautifully made heifer, with lots of length, style, and that overall feminine appearance. She is the kind of female that will mature to be an absolute knockout as a mature cow. She combines generations of popular AI sires being an Affinity/ Bounty Hunter/ Wide Track/ Shear Force/Trademark 6N - back to some of the most influential Simmental sires of all time. She is bred to the new AI sire, Mader Folsom Prison, the calving ease Walk The Line son, and she is setting up reality nice teat size and placement to have a beautiful udder as she becomes a cow.

CASH
Here is a daughter of the exclusive Labatte/Oberle sire JNR Barbarian whose semen has fetched up to $4,750 per straw. This is an exciting female with a bright future when you combine Barbarian with one of our best cow families with Courtney 9C as her granddam. The pictures of Courtney 9C and her full sister Caleigh 8C will tell you everything you need to know and Courtney just weaned a fabulous Canon daughter in 2025. This is the type of female and pedigree that you want to build a herd around.
Beth is a dark red power heifer with big goggles and she is as thick, stout, and deep bodied as they come. You can see that she has a great udder on the way. I truly think this will be an impressive power cow in the future. Backed by unique genetics with the Dutton bull back to the great Westgold Standout 94Z and Jahari on the maternal side. I can already envision her dark red Guerero calf in 2026.
AI bred to Guerro on April 1/25
Madison is a really flashy red female out of the outcross Semex AI sire Erixon Asset. Madison’s great grand-dam is our 14 year old anchor cow JF Ebonys Joy 1217Y that also produced lot 3 in this sale and cracks out a good one year after year. She is bred to SVS Betts and we really like the power and thickness in our Betts progeny.
This black beauty is a standout with a bright future. We feel she will definitely be front pasture material, sired by the popular OMF Epic and a grand-daughter of our beautifully uddered 9 year old show cow, Donovandale Dash of Class. With Epic semen no longer available in Canada, this opportunity to add a daughter out of a great cow is money in the bank. We feel the early breeding to Crossroad Dateline 59L should really click on her type and we can imagine a beautiful blaze faced calf off of her. Mia was named after a special friend in the business from Ayer’s Cliff.
AI bred to Crossroad Dateline 59L on March 27/25
XCEL POL Design Diva 409M 17

True to her name, Design Diva commands attention with every step. Her presence is undeniable— like a red carpet moment at the CMA Awards. She moves freely and effortlessly, with explosive rib shape, depth, and an easy-doing kind of functionality that screams future donor cow. Bred early to a full fleck, homo polled, calving ease specialist, her first calf has a high probability of being homo polled and built for performance. Quiet as a backstage pass and just as exclusive, she’s a pleasure to work with and a standout in any setting. Drop by our stall at Expo Boeuf to see Design Diva and her maternal sister!
Bred to BILJ Pol Jamie31J on March 14, 2025. Preg checked safe
Maddie is a heifer that was not supposed to leave the farm. We believe with being a MRL Red Force daughter and bred to the exciting Cinderella Man bull that the resulting calf will be a stand out. Maddie has that baldy lightning bolt on her forehead which added to her stylish correct make up. Take this heifer home and build your next cow family line. Due Feb 13 2026.
AI bred to Cinderella Man on May 7 (safe)
LACOMBE’S Moolala
Moolala came from the strong herd at Lacombe’s Farms last fall. She is a female that will turn into a large frame, long bodied power cow with a productive future. This female is sired by Anchor D High Noon who is known to add frame, bone, and power and out of an Elm Tree Derozan cow who put another daughter into SOV 2023 as a heifer calf. There is a lot of future here and the early service to the polled, proven calving ease sire Imax will get her started on the right foot.
Magic Maid is a daughter of the Sunny Valley Wendy 65H cow - a WOW female that is a cornerstone of our program and we will continue to build around. Wendy herself is one of the earliest daughters of Sunny Valley Canon, who has gone on to do an incredible job and Magic Maid is sired by JNR Barbarian, one of the newest and most exclusive sires around, now proven with his first sets of calves. Magic Maid is polled, powerful, and backed by a great cow and exclusive pedigree.
AI bred to FGAF Guerrero 810Y on April 4/25
Exposed to NDP 12K (FGAF Guerrero son) from June 1 to October 1, 2025
Maria is a moderately made Motown daughter, compact but with lots of thickness and rib to her. Nice double goggles and she looks to have a nice udder and will milk well. She was the youngest heifer in the pen this year and held up extremely well. She comes from a very nice Synergy daughter bought as a calf from Virginia Ranch. Maria should milk well and make some marketable calves. Bred Anchor D Hefner so guaranteed to have a polled calf and he has proven to calve so well on heifers. She really has that cowy look that she will have a lot of production and longevity.
Exposed to Anchor D Hefner from March 10 to June 20/25 Bred Anchor D Hefner 274H on April 14th 2025 (vet feels it is a heifer calf)

This young polled heifer was my pick of Erich Kern’s 2024 offering and you can see why I picked her as she is very pleasing to the eye and is very complimentary to my type of Simmental cattle. Cattle with soundness, eye appeal, and performance. This March born heifer is extremely smooth and attractive and backed by a great pedigree with Blueprint, Guerrero, and Raptor all close up - a recipe for great females. Mated to the great Gagnon sire NAC Panther should make for a very exciting cross.
AI bred to NAC Panther 133J on Apr.14/25.
ALLIANCE Lady Capacity 020m
Lady Capacity is an ET daughter of RF Capacity x Erixon Lady 31F. This early March bred heifer is a carbon copy of her donor dam except coming in a black hide. Lady Capacity is a very soft made heifer with width throughout - from her muzzle through her pins. She is super sound, moves effortlessly, and this young heifer is really setting up a nice quality udder. Lady 31F really is an awesome cow with so much body, power, and a great udder and you see her influence on some of the strong open heifers in this sale. The AI service to Mader Walk The Line should prove very exciting as a maternal sister bred this way produced an exceptional heifer calf that was sold in the package to Stuart at SAJ Simmentals in Saskatchewan last fall. AI bred to Mader Walk The Line 92J on May 25/25
ALLIANCE Special Request
This heifer is the 2024 natural calf off my foundation cow, Special 207Z and sired by the homozygous polled On Request bull. This is the youngest heifer in my offering but certainly measures up with the older heifers. This heifer is very long sided and has a beautiful profile. 21M really exemplifies the feminine qualities the Special daughters consistently exhibit. This medium red heifer also exhibits her mother’s strongest trait - a high quality udder which has allowed her to be still producing at 13 years of age. The Special descendants only get better with age and this female stacks that with an outcross pedigree in a polled package.
Miss Nina is a heifer that checks all boxes, she is homo polled, dark red and very correct. Miss Nina is a sister to the $16,000 heifer we sold in last year’s Stars Sale to Ultra Livestock and Canadian Donors. She has proven genetics both on the sire and dam side through the Nina line which can be seen in pedigrees in the KSL Jessie James bull out west and the Gagnon herd in Quebec with the Rosemead Angel cow. We believe in this heifer so much that we are retaining the right to a future flush at buyer’s convenience and seller’s costs..
#PG1521098
After a year off we decided to come back with a bang, BVF Essence Zoe. This heifer just seems to do it all right, the power of a classic Bristolview heifer with the blaze and class that we all love with a pedigree we love. She has an impeccable structure that gives her the freedom of movement, that every cow needs to be a true long lasting money maker. She combines the best donors of both the black and red world, tracing back to some stand outs like Sage 506C on the top, Scream 215Z on top and bottom. She comes from a long line of labatte cows on the bottom side paired with WSF Cain a Westcott son that did so much good at Wilson Stock Farm.
We are proud to consign to the sale this year after taking a few years off and this solid red bombshell is a great place to catch up where we left off. A female that is built right from the ground up, she’s long spined, big middled and feminine fronted and the kind that is attractive from any angle. She is familiar in the show ring this year and is backed by a cow family that produces good ones year after year and so much so that we just flushed her grand-dam to RF Capacity to get more. If you’re looking for a female with a proven, predictable pedigree be sure to take a close look at this one.

Here is a heifer that is right off the top of our keeper pen. Legacy is a stout made broody heifer with great depth of rib, and great feet and udder quality. She’s one we feel is also very well balanced. Legacy is out of a cow that milks heavy and hits the mark no matter what she’s bred to. Sired by our herd bull Jackson that we purchased from Maders in 2024, this is a heifer that will flat out work for you and one we are proud to offer!
Lil Sis showcases what can happen when two dynasties collide. She offers shape, dimension, femininity and a star studded family behind her as well. Her dam IRCC Lil Sis ET 177J is a full sister to the infamous original Darlin’ that continues to make waves in the Simmental world with her highly sought after progeny. This lil gem’s sire RF Caliber is bringing the renowned Flirt Family genetics to the table to create an opportunity for that special buyer to grab a hold of this powerful pedigree and build a lasting impact in your herd.
This is the calf we were hoping to get when we purchased Lady Shamrock’s dam out of the 2021 Stars of the Valley sale. She has size and shape, lots of dark red hair and a solid set of EPDs. She has a strong pedigree, a good disposition and should go on to make a strong cow!
FUSION Loretta’s Scream 31
Look no further for your next high producing brood cow who may just even find herself in your donor pen. Loretta’s Scream has it all. She is balanced, powerful, long sided and moves with ease. Her two year old Sochi dam knocked it out of the park on her first try and if this heifer calf’s udder develops like her dam’s - you will make dairymen jealous. Of course her sire should get some credit too.The $105,000 Black Gold Ava’s Scream has proven he has what it takes to sire the females that excel in foot and udder quality. To add the cherry on top, this heifer’s disposition is second to none and an absolute pleasure to work with. There was many back and forths about letting this one go and only because we have Momma did we give Rob the thumbs up to add her to the Stars lineup. Make sure you get those hands in the air on sale day.

#BPG1519602 |
After having taken a break from the sale for a few years to build up some strong females we knew it was the right time to come back with a powerful pair of heifer calves. 18N can be traced back 7 maternal generations from our own backyard, Maternal strength and longevity may be an understatement here. Nightshade is only up on offer as we have Momma and a full sister to her here at home. She is feminine fronted with plenty of muscle and has a striking white blaze face, that is sure to get everyone’s attention. We have been having a good year with Nightshade on our show string this year so this flashy girl is ready to join a junior next year and pick up where she left off or join your herd as strong momma cow, you can’t go wrong.
Farms
Dream Catcher has been our feature red donor cow on the farm and one we are so proud of. She had a lot of success on the show road in many categories and now through her offspring. These embryos will be the first black progeny from her and out of the highly sought after OMF Epic E27 bull whose semen is no longer available in Canada. We feel that will be an ideal complement to and are excited to see the results.
2 conventional embryos
If you’ve had a chance to study this catalog this year and most prior years, you’ll have learned a bit about the Special cow family that started with BLI Special 207Z. These females have done a lot for my program and everyone that has acquired them or their influence. They are super sound, eye appealing, and strong uddered with a lot of qualities to complement any popular power bull - and they are usually polled. Specials Congo is a cow that I have had great success with in breeding multiple ways and Canon has worked especially well on her. Progeny resulting from these embryos will be full sibs to Lot 9 and 10 in this year’s The proof is in the pudding, buy with confidence.
If you are on the hunt for a maternal powerhouse look no further than these Boundary Sarah 7C genetics. Combined with RF Capacity these have already been proven to work. High performing, heavy milking females. Pedigree, style and performance all found in one package. Full sibs to these embryos have sold through this sale in the past and gone on to work very well for their new owners.

One of our newest and most exciting female additions is this maternal sister to the great LFE Cabaret! Kat comes with a stacked pedigree combining Hannibal with Lewis Farms’ feature black cow family and in a homozygous polled and black baldy package. With her first calf she impressed us with her incredible udder quality and we are excited to get her into embryo production. The mating to Caliber will complement her low birth number profile and the progeny will be very closely related to Cabaret.
We are very pleased to offer at this year’s Stars of the Valley Sale, the first semen marketed in Canada off of FTA Gold Rush 24L. Gold Rush along with his flush mates had a wonderful show season in 2024 -2025. For heifers under twelve months of age who were purchased as single lots and who fail to conceive to the service of a bull known to be a breeder, the matter must be reported to the seller before the heifer reaches eighteen months of age. The seller shall have six additional months in which to prove any such female a breeder and may use any registered bull of the breed available to him. Any female returned will be at the purchaser’s risk. No guarantee is given that a pregnant female will deliver live calves, nor that
she will carry calves to full term, nor that the calf will not be mummified. The seller is not repsonsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold. Nor for sickness not apparent at sale time.
settlements
Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, AI signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc. will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal is a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer will be guaranteed a satisfactory replacement F.O.B. ranch or location or original or a refund of the purchase price paid F.O.B. selling point. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sale Management will appoint a mediator.
rights and obligations
The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following the purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties concerned thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of the sale.
