Welcome from //
RUSYLVIA CATTLE CO.

I t just seems like yesterday we were working on the third sale in 2023 and here we are getting ready for the fourth addition. Time sure flys when you live life at full speed and busy with all things agriculture. Rusylvia Cattle Co. was established in 1994 when Ken and Josie got married, and so, this year marks the 29th year of selling bulls. Rusylvia Cattle is made up of grain, hay and pasture land along with 400 cows. Our purebred herds are Simmental, Black Angus and Maine Anjou with the majority being black. Our commercial herd is Angus x Maine and Angus x Simmental. All the cows are managed the same way including – herd health, graze grass until November, corn graze until December, and cereal silage or silage bales during the calving period. We utilize natural heats to AI about 140 cows each spring and put in 40-50 embryos as well. The benefit list is long with AI and ET programs, and it truly gets exciting every calving season to see the results. Josie and Riley both AI with Josie having taught AI to hundreds of people over the 15 plus years teaching the course at Lakelend College. The bulls on offer are from some of the leading genetics on offer in Canada and in the U.S.
We sometimes get asked why three breeds. Josie got her first Maine in 1981 and brought 40 head to Alberta in 1994. The Maine breed performance, quietness, hair and incredible mothering ability is what we appreciate the most. The Black Angus purebreds started in 2005 with purchases from Stretton Creek, Mountain View Farms and KBJ Dispersal. We loved the commercial Maine x Angus cross calves including pounds at weaning time and felt the two breeds fit together well. The Simmental is the newest addition with our first purchases in 2015. The boys being active on the show road across western Canada really loved the excitement, people and what the Simmental breed had to offer. With key female purchases, leading AI sires and embryos, our program rapidly developed.
Rusylvia Cattle is truly a family-run operation with our boys growing up showing, running equipment and doing all things agriculture. We love the lifestyle, the challenges, but mostly the rewarding

relationships we’ve formed through so many avenues over the years. We have many great families who help us along the way with various things, but two families deserve the most heartfelt thanks –Shologan Family including Mark, Lee, Joanne and Faith. Lee is like a additional son around here and has a keen eye for cattle, knows what he wants, has a great work ethic, and we sure enjoy having him come help. Many of the bulls today are owned in part by the Shologan family. Chatsworth Land and Cattle including Nick and Alex Wasylik are adding some first-calving January pairs to our sale offering, and we are super excited to have them contribute. These are two of the hardest working, super keen, aggressive and knowledgeable cattlemen. We would be remiss not to mention their sister Charlotte often helps out with marketing, which is her passion. Nick and Lee are both much loved, appreciated and welcome during the fall show road and any other time of the year when we need a hand or a laugh, or two. Cassidy Daley was a great addition to our show crew this fall and in the bull picture pen. We sure enjoy having her help, input and smile around the farm.
Bull buyers, show families, junior families, fall sale supporters, and the list goes on, are truly the best part of the business. Some of the best times are every year at Agribition, Stockade Round up, Farmfair, Olds Fall Classic, Calgary Stampede, Summer Synergy or the multitude of other events we’ve attended. There’s nothing we love more than having a cooler of refreshments waiting when we get a call someone is stopping in to do a pasture tour or getting the coffee ready after the bull pens have been toured. To all our past bull buyers, we thank you for your support over the years, often sight unseen until we arrive with the bull or the yearly visit to do your selection. This year, please plan to stop in ahead of the sale or the morning of to have a visit. The bull pen will be open anytime for viewing prior to the sale or the morning of the sale. Bulls will all be semen tested and guaranteed, and have been on a cereal Silage TMR with peas straw, hay and the Bullseye bull supplement. Many of these bulls are from the boys’ own herd as you will see several tattoos; the boys’ herds have been developing since they were nine years old.
On sale day, come early to tour the bulls, have some lunch, enjoy the video sale in our heated building and stay for refreshments following. You also have the option of bidding/viewing online from your home with dlms.ca. We truly believe the cattle business and its producers will have some bright years ahead, and we look forward to enjoying those with you. Thank you for your time, interest and support. If we can help at all, please call or stop in.
All the Best,
Ken, Josie, Tyson, Riley and Taylor Pashulka Rusylvia Cattle Co.

BOHRSON MARKETING SERVICES
Welcome from //OUR FAMILY Meet
The Pashulka family of Rusylvia Cattle Co is one of the hardest working, down to earth, premier breeders of livestock in all of North America and each spring we are so impressed as we analyze their pen of bulls they have to offer. If your needs be that of a Maine Anjou, Simmental or Angus, the depth will leave you with plenty of options come sale day. We are proud to again welcome you on behalf of Bohrson Marketing and the Pashulka’s to the 2024 edition of Rusylvia Cattle Company’s bull sale.
The 2024 offering is simply impressive. The strict embryo transfer and artificial insemination program at Rusylvia has again left a consistent set of sons spread across 3 breeds with many 1/2, 3/4 and full brothers available in their respective divisions. They are developed and brought along responsibly with longevity in mind. These bulls are able to get out and get straight to work and simply do their job and that is so evident in the amount of loyal repeat customers that show up each year. This exciting set of bulls is highlighted by some big time herd bulls in each division that are hard to find just anywhere. The offering is full of cowboy bulls that are high volume, easy fleshing, hairy individuals with a great look.
We really do hope you make plans to join the Pashulka family on February 28th for their 2024 bull sale season. The hospitality is top notch and coincides with the top stock available. Be sure to take a trip to the farm anytime to view the bulls prior and give them a heads up so they have time to order some famous Derwent pizza, like the bulls, it will not disappoint. We highly encourage you to give Ken, Josie, Tyson, Riley or Taylor a call prior to the sale to discuss the offering and your bull needs. If any of us at Bohrson Marketing can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us as we would be pleased to help you source your next purchases.
Best regards,
The Bohrson Marketing Team

Here is an individual that is a complete standout. One you will love for his dark red hide plus his natural muscle shape, length of body and just his overall appearance. His foot and hind leg are extremely good. He was shown very successfully this past fall being reserve intermediate Simmental bull calf at Stockade round up followed by reserve grand champion overall Simmental bull at stockade round up. This guy is stacked with quality on both sides of his pedigree being a son of the great SVS Rancher and one of the best Simmental females around WFL sage 506C. We truly believe this young
sire will be a beeding piece in the future and see tremendous potential. We are excited for the future of the 14L and look forward to seeing him develop in the program. We are offering 100% Possession and will retain 50% Semen Interest in this outstanding future herd sire, with that said we are very open to visiting with the potential buyer about possible shared possession or show this guy down the road. We think this bull has a lot of opportunities ahead and are excited for what the future holds for this exciting sire. SELLING 100% POSSESSION AND 50% SEMEN INTEREST; HOMO POLLED.

There is only a few red Simmental bulls in the sale this year but what we lack in quantity we definitely make up for in quality and this guy is a great example of that. This mader walk the line son will be one of the stoutest, powerful and unique bulls you’ll lay eyes on. This guy has herd bull wrote all over him. This is one that has been extremely impressive since birth and has been awesome to watch grow and mature and can only imagine as time goes on what he will do for any operation. HOMO POLLED.

Here is a set of ET brothers that we think a whole lot of. The amount of body and substance these two carry is non to less impressive. If your looking to add volume and bone and pounds to your cow herd take your pick on these two. Whats even more impressive about these two is how they get out and travel for carrying that much body mass and power and stepping down on a great big square foot. HOMO POLLED.

Off a first calf heifer that we and Shologans purchased out of the legendary R+ dispersal. He is awesome made in term of his shape and skeleton design and a bull for being off a first calver having a ton of power and performance.

And think this guy leads of the sire group quite handily with the amount of body and shape and the extra rib he has and yet keeps that natural shape and muscle we look for in any herd bull prospect. What makes this bull even better is his dam a direct SAV Density daughter who has been a no miss female every year. This will be one that’ll you will want marked down.

Another great heifer bull prospect, not only is he made right for it but also bred for it. You will like him even more for his build he is smooth made, nice headed and is great up into his shoulder and neck. Just a bull that can be very useful in the heifer pen.

This is definitely the feature bull in the Maine pen. He is absolutely a powerhouse as thick and deep as they come. He can go out and sire calves that would take anyone’s program to the top. He’s even got a proven show record as being the Grand Champion Maine Bull at Farmfair and Agribition, Champion Maine in the President’s Cup and Reserve Champion AOB Bull at the Stockade Roundup. Take note, he’s an ET calf off our proven high producing donor cow Calla 47C who herself has been an instrumental building block for our program. 10L weaned, the heaviest at just under 800 pounds on August 21. TERMS TO BE ANNOUNCED.

Here’s a full sib to 10 L that is simply amazing as well. It was a toss up, which one of these two brothers we were going to show 32L was going to be one of the bulls we were taking to Denver to the NWSS this year for the pen of three show, but due to timing constraints couldn’t make it work. This guy has it all in confirmation and genetics as this guy matures. I think he’s got an extra spring of rib compared to 10 L and will be a bull that deserves your attention when choosing your next herd sire.

As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and that’s why we keep flushing Calla 47C back to I Deliver. This combination just keeps producing great ones like We Deliver. This guy has been living up to the standards starting off with being the reserve champion bull in Farmfair and Agribition and the President’s Classic behind his brother 10L. This guy has full brothers working in Rick Deagle’s Ranch as well as the Pick Six Operation. If you saw the champion female pair at Agribition, this bull calf was sired by 22 full brother, so this genetic combination works and goes out working successfully in other herds.

Another full brother to 22L and We Deliver, I can’t say it enough but any meeting to our donor cow Calla 47C works and again this one is no different quite honestly this guy should have been the one we showed instead of 22L 59L has a bit more stretch in height and length and would have been Our third bull for our Denver pen of three bulls. You will have your work cut out for you when choosing which bull is the best one as they are that close in stature and that good.

Benelli calves have become very popular and in high demand across the country. at 800lbs pounds weaning weight on August 21 91L was only 10 pounds shy from having the top weaning weight of the Maines so performance is one of his top traits. Being a three-quarter blood, he will also produce purebred calves.

Another sire, we use exclusively on our heifers is Sooline motive. He has proven to be easy calving and best of all crosses perfectly with the maine heifers to produce the top calves in the pen every time . Here is a bull here that would work in your heifer pen, off a maternal made mother should give you some Replacements.

If you’re looking for a calving ease bull, this is the one. His sire final answer is probably the most predictable and proven calving ease is sire out there as he’s been around for 20+ years. These calves are born small, but bend the growth curve when they hit weaning and on. This guy was our top performance calf from our entire first calf heifer pen. You won’t find a better combination than this for calving ease to growth and performance, adding pounds and dollars to your

We have on offer some great 1st calving pairs All of these heifers bred up early and have some great early born calves at foot. every calf was born before the second week of January, giving these 1st time mommas all the time they need to be able to put embryos in them come late March/ early April.
LOT 64 - $3,000 X5
We’ve been super happy with the quality and production of our bred heifers these last few years, We have been running a 42 day breeding cycle on all heifers for 10 years and are incredibly happy with the conception consistency results! All the hard work is already done with these girls, you won’t need to keep them for a whole winter or even calve them out if you’re needing some females to put embryos in or breed for some nice early calves.
LOT 65 - $3,100 X5
