The group of Red bulls for 2017 are impressive and possess unlimited breeding potential. They are a group we are very proud of and the most uniform group we have ever offered for sale. Somebody asked me in 2014 standing in the bull pen how we were going to top that group of Red Simmental bulls that featured 3 of the elite Simmental bulls we have raised; MRL Capone, MRL Whiskey and MRL Predestined that year. Well, I’ll tell you how: our offering for 2017 will feature over 30 sons by these 3 elite breeding bulls in the industry. 18 sons by one of the most talked about bulls in the breed- MRL Capone. His sons are like peas in a pod with moderate bw’s and plum stout. 6 sons by the $51,000 MRL Whiskey bull; they are hairy, powerful and so right for the times, and 8 sons of the $48,000 MRL Predestined; they are super balanced, moderate, dark red and packed full of muscle shape. Combined with the breeding prowess of these 3 superstar sires are some of our feature cow families on the bottom side. We are excited about these 3 large sire groups and can’t wait to offer them to the industry. The Capone bull has sure as heck stamped them with 18 sons on offer and like peas in a pod! This guy is one of our favourites. Long, packed full of muscle and a herdbull look. His dam is a beautiful Crosby female back to the awesome Rosie cow we purchased from Maxwell Simmentals out of Farm Fair. Just a 97 lb bw and weaned at 975 lbs. Just look at this pedigree, can’t write one much better, then analyze the bull himself. Pretty powerful herdbull in the making.
