Welcome to KT Ranches 5th annual bull sale. Starting a few years ago with some very good purebred animals, we learned that elite donors were needed to raise purebred animals competitive in the market place. Progressively acquiring leading genetics, we add new females as well as embryo purchases from breeders in Canada and the United States to continually improve our herd. Our herd sires include Coleman Glacier, SVS Betts 808, RF Caliber, Mader Walk the Line, Brooking Emerald, Hummel South America, SAV RIP, SAV Believe, and Rust Forged in Fire who won Supreme at two shows last year and top 10 at Agribition. KT Ranches recently acquired the Canadian semen rights to Udell New Heights and are excited by his addition.
We are calving in Cherryville, Kamloops, and Enderby this winter and as I write this, we are 75% done on a total of 1000 females. With our current team of Jason Mulbach, Conner Seahaver, Stephan Janse Van Rensburg, Doug Rainkie, Rosie & Roberto, Carson Isaac, Landon Prebeshewski, Alex Shobbrook, Joe Hamilton, Joe Peltier, Josh Perri, Les Hillier, Kamrie Kaufmann and Pat Issac, daily operations are going well, and the 2024 calf crop is very strong.
When Rod MacLeod toured our donor pasture two years ago, he said, “you should put up a sign saying Field of Dreams,” . I asked why and he said that most people could only dream of a pasture of cows like those. We were fortunate to meet Dr. Michael Walker at Agribition several years ago and as a result of our discussions, partnered on a genetic program with Dr. Walker and Dr. Rich of Abbotsford Veterinary Clinic, flushing and implanting on our farm and at their facility in Abbotsford, BC.
Geoff and Lacey Anderson have been with KT Ranches for two calving seasons, focusing on the embryo program. We had 400 ET calves last year and many of our bull offerings are embryo calves from our “Field of Dreams”. Geoff and Lacey have shown KT cattle for two seasons with impressive results. The females sold have been at the very top end of the pens in the sales we consigned to.
The bulls on offer have very good feet, quiet temperaments, and are structurally sound. All bulls have been examined by our veterinarian for soundness and passed a semen test. We stand behind our animals and commit to the guarantee outlined in this catalogue. If your bull arrives and you are unhappy, we will replace him or find an acceptable solution of a sale credit or refund. 2024 will mark the largest and most exciting group of bulls ever offered by KT Ranches. This group of bulls have had us excited since they were babies this time last year, and they continue to get better and better everyday. I think if you are in the market for Angus calving ease or power bulls, red or black Simmental bulls or a mix of both in the Sim-Angus division, there are bulls to here to cover many different demands. These bulls are created from the very best genetics and matings we could put together. On the Angus side the largest groups of Hummel South America and Coleman Glacier bulls in Canada are on offer, along with deep groups by Emerald, Density, Honey Jack Sparrow and more. On the Simmental side the much anticipated first group of Mader Walk The Lines and a good big group of RF Calibers, whether you are looking red or black they are a deep set.

Every bull has passed a semen evaluation by a licensed veterinarian prior to the sale and is structurally sound and capable of breeding cows naturally. Fleshing ability Within 9 months after breeding season, your bull should have recovered the weight loss and be in reasonable, healthy condition with a good quality forage diet. We are not responsible for anything above the purchase price of the bull.
If the conditions of the guarantee are not achieved, we will do one of four things: 1) Replace the bull with one of equal value (most practical during breeding season) 2) Replace the bull and adjust the value agreed upon (most practical during or before breeding season) 3) Take back or ship the bull and a credit will be given to you for the selection of another bull the following year (most practical after breeding season). 4) Take back or ship the bull and a

With 17 registered progeny and 10 bulls selling in this sale 1604 is set to make a big impact on our program and many other programs around the country. Her first progeny debut was KT Blackcap May 3012, a full sister to these bulls, that was Reserve Senior heifer calf champion at Canadian western Agribition, and was a $42,500 sale highlight of the Angus Collection to Covey Hill. His dam, SAV Blackcap May 6454, was a super impressive, Harvestor female that was lost way too soon. The South America mating with 6454 also gave us three big-time daughters that are at the top of the replacement pen. Look to North America to add length, muscle and pounds, a real world bull with powerhouse genetics that doesn’t sacrifice true Angus character.
2964 & 2972 are another high-quality pair of South America flush brothers. Their dam SAV Madame Pride 1468 is another up-andcoming donor female sired by Circuit Breaker. 1468 has 9 progeny currently registered with the CAA including four sons selling in this sale. 1468 is a good looking, perfect uddered female that needs to be first through the picture pen next summer. We certainly give credit where credit is due. We have been very big fans and supporters of the Coleman program in Montana and were very fortunate to acquire the Hummel South America semen through their female sale and mated it to Coleman Dixie 7120 who is not only one of our favourites to come out of the Coleman program, but one of our favourite cows on the entire ranch. We feel she is a model Angus cow, the right type, the right frame, the right build, awesome uddered and beautiful from every angle you analyze her from. Another incredible pair of bulls with depth, hair, look, power, and backed by one of our absolute favourite cows at the ranch.
Brooking Countess 9026 is one of the absolute cornerstones, go to donor females at KT Ranches. We are lucky to get to work with a lot of incredible cows every day here and Countess 9026 ranks at the very top of those. Since she was a calf at the side of her dam, Countess 7077, when they were Supreme Champions at Farm Fair and Agribtion, and then she went on to be Supreme as a bred heifer the Lloydminster Stockade. Countess 9026 has run on the inner circles of the Angus show ring. Show ring aside Countess’ true legacy will be in production, with 31 registered progeny, 9026 has turned into a no miss donor that can raise elite bulls, and show stopping females. 9026 is a big part of this program and a cow you will read a lot about throughout the catalog. Miss Molly started her journey to KT as the $30,000 FNL sale highlight, and she hasn’t disappointed since. Her first heifer calf offered for sale was KT Molly 2202 who was a $25,000 FNL highlight to Lee Shologan and Premier Livestock. They did an exceptional job and had a great year showing her, and she has now turned into a beautiful cow ready to create her own legacy. These flush brothers are unique in their own right, with a cool looking, hairy, stout made baldy, and a high quality solid black bull that is one of the favorites in the pen.
Reddington was the former high selling outcross bull out of the R-Plus program. He puts a stamp on them and the first daughters calving here have really nice udders. An incredibly powerful 7/8 bull out of a first calf heifer. This bull has been a man from an early age and weaned off his first calf mom at 1080lbs on Sept 1. His dam is a beautiful ¾ blood female that also goes back to WHL Countess 1764. Pedigree wise this bull should read calving ease, and he did start life at 84lbs, but since then he has had the pedal to the floor and is one of the heaviest bulls in the entire sale. KT Estate came in dam out of the Spring Creek dispersal. His dam, Spring Creek Honey 84G, is a nice Tesla daughter. Tesla was one of our all time favourite bulls that was ever raised at Spring Creek. 3216 will probably be the most unique pedigree Sim-Angus to sell anywhere this year. We would be lying if we didn’t say we really wanted a female out of this mating.
