As I sit down to write this, I realize that it is time for my annual time of reflection. First off, it is hard to believe that it is our fifth sale that we have held at our yard. Also hard to believe that this past fall mar d 10 years of us living here. Not so hard to believe, is that when I mentioned those facts to Melissa she didn't believe me. I guess I shouldn't mention to her the fact that we have been married for 20 years as of this past June. The saying is true that time flies when you are having fun!
Writing this welcome for our sale has more meaning to me than just a formal welcome. It gives me a chance to ep family and friends updated on what we have been up to as well as introduce ourselves to new people. The kids have been busy doing things that ma us proud to be their parents. Emma has finished her schooling part at SAIT for sonography and had exceptionally high mar . She is presently doing her practicum. This had her working at Regina General Hospital, Moose Jaw Hospital and is currently at the Swift Current Hospital. Kolt had a good run too. His ball team won provincials this past year in their division and he played football as well. Let's just say that season didn't go as well as the baseball and we will leave it at that. He also got to start his first horse this fall and really enjoyed it. Manni has also been busy playing baseball and hoc y and helped with the horse breaking as well. The two of them also spent a lot of time getting the handle of roping and both have improved a lot. Melissa is still working with CCIA, however after the 20 years of marriage and the 2 years of working full time she had an epiphany. She realized

how much she loved and missed me and is working part time now so she could spend more time with me. As for myself, for those of you that know me know that I am not much for camping at campsites. However, I went and bought an older camper to go hang out in and relax. I enjoy it, just not at busy campsites.
Enough about us, let's talk cattle. We are pleased with our offering this year. Our bulls are going to be able to go out and travel and get the cows bred right from day one after the sale. We don't push them to the limits of conditioning as we feel it does not benefit anyone in the long run. If you would li to view the offering before the sale, we would be more than happy to show you around. TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Should the purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Haw ye Ranching Company Ltd. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage, either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale, together with ep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the cler of the sale before any cattle will be released. The owners, and sale staff have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and/or who has not made prior credit arrangements prior to the sale with the owners. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.
PURCHASERS RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
GUA NTEE: All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Angus Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness. At no time shall the seller’s liability exceed the purchased price of the animal.
EXCEPTION TO GUA NTEE: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. In the cases of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to applicable Canadian breed Association guarantee, but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze.
HEALTH: It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bulls sell with passing breeding soundness evaluations unless otherwise announced.
LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The sellers, facility owner, auctioneer and sale staff assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur.
CERTIFICATE OF REGIST TION:
Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the auctioneer, ringmen or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: from the auction block will ta precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.
SEMENT INTEREST: Haw ye Ranching Company Ltd. reserves the right to draw in herd semen on any bull sold in this sale at our expense and buyers convenience.
INSU NCE: Agents will be available to insure your purchase. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and the terms and conditions of this sale do not cover obligations of the two parties connected thereto.
