Year after year, these programs go above and beyond to strengthen their herds and invest in elite genetics. From sourcing proven genetics across Canada to selecting outcross pieces from the U.S., their dedication to continually improving is second to none. This offering is a direct reflection of that commitment. As we set in and prepare for our second annual The Social Sale it’s impossible not to look back and be thankful for the kind words and support we received from last years Inaugural Event. We were blessed with about as perfect of a weekend to host, and were fortunate to welcome a large group of visitors. It was all that we envisioned when we came up with the name for the sale. Old friends reconnecting, new relationships being formed, all with the beautiful backdrop of the Trenton Hills and quality Limousin Seedstock.
It is hard not to be optimistic during these record high prices the beef industry is seeing on stockers as we enter the heart of the fall run across the country. With these prices it is a great opportunity to invest in your program to continue to improve and diversify your genetics for the future. We at Windy Gables and Pinch Hill feel that we have assembled an offering that you can invest in with great confidence.

The story of Adjourned started in a heifer pen at one of the long-standing institutions of the breed in South Dakota, his dam was our selection of the 2022 born heifer calves from Symens Brothers. She hit us hard that day and continues to surprise us at every turn. He was raised by a young two-yearold, been out with cows all while still looking the part to go to town and be campaigned. Adjourned in soft made, long spined and extremely fluid and sound on the move, all while being big topped, with extra quarter and muscle expression. This young outcross sire is easy fleshing, great footed with the herd bull presence these are all reasons to give him your attention. In Herd Semen will be retained by Pinch Hill and Windy Gables, we believe in him and will be using him going forward in our programs.

Anyone that has followed our program will know our respect for flatliner females, and this young female ranks right at the top, she has some of our best females in her pedigree. 421M is out of a maternal sister to Fantasy 824F. A few years ago we shook up the norm in our herd from a full winter calving and held some females to calve in the fall. The goal has always been to make the next generation better however, good things take time, but great things happen all at once.
This is evident in 907M- a beautifully made Wulfs Hyannis sired female that is thick made from tips to tail, has a great disposition and an excellent hair coat.
Her dam is a young TMF Redwood daughter making her mark in the herd like all of our Redwoods have with capacity, thickness, and a great udder and we expect the same from 907M.

The 2025 group of calves sired by Hard Rock have been a stellar group and probably one of the most solid and consistent group of bull calves from birth weight, muscle shape, soundness, docility, length, and overall appeal that have graced our pastures. The bull calves we have selected for your evaluation all come from the most functionally and consistent dams in our small herd.

The calves come easy with low to moderate birth weights and then explode with growth. His EPD profile is hard to duplicate with 11 of 16 traits ranking in the top 25% of the breed. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTION WITH EXTENDED BIDDING:
1. Visit dlms.ca and follow the link to the DLMS Farm Gate timed auction site www.farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots, or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your username and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. In most cases the time gets shorter the longer in to extended bidding the sale is. When no bidding occurs for the extended time the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Following the sale the Consignor or Sale Manager will invoice all buyers in the sale, please contact the seller with questions or to arrange delivery, pick up or shipping of your purchases.

WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
