Welcome to our 7th annual bull sale on the farm! Every year in the cattle business we gain new experiences and repeat old ones and our hope is that you had many more positive experiences than bad ones this year. The beef industry is going through a very positive cycle as far as price discovery and this bodes well for those who have positioned themselves over the last two or three or more years to be able to take advantage of this market. Our bullpen continues to strengthen every year as we increase our standards to make sure we offer a higher level of product to better serve our past and future customers. We continue to use a high standard of bull power sourced from select breeders and our own feature sires. We still take foot quality at a high standard along with disposition, hair, performance, and fertility. We insist that our herd sires never require a foot trim and this is a standard we follow. Our herdsires are required to produce productive females. We invite you to tour our bullpen at anytime and contact any of us to talk bull selection. The select group of heifers in the sale come right out of our replacement pen and are top quality females. We understand how important it is to get your cows bred and bred right!

Welcome to the 7th annual Allison Farms Red & Black Angus Bull & Select Female Sale. This year’s event is to be held March 20th, again on the farm near Delburne, AB. We are so pleased to extend a warm invite on behalf of the entire Allison Family to their 2024 sale and can comfortably say, they have once again stepped up to the plate to bring you an exciting set of cattle for your evaluation. Each year we are taken back by the amount of quality in bulk throughout the bull and heifer pens and for them to gradually improve from top to bottom on a yearly basis is impressive and just speaks to the dedication and commitment by the Allison team. Please make plans to be with us all at the Ranch for one of the must attend Red & Black Sales of the entire spring! The 2024 Sale bulls are as uniform in type as they are impressive in phenotype. As you walk through the bull pens, its not obvious where one sire group begins and another ends. They have bred their cattle to be easy fleshing, hairy, good looking with strong feet and athletic in their movement. Backed by a Reverence dam, Elysium is producing highly maternal replacement females. Elysium was one of the most sought after herd bull prospects in our 2022 bull sale and eventually landed at the consortium of Diamond T and Jensen Red Angus. These three flush mates come from the Meg 25B donor cow. Meg 25B carries a consistent lower birth weight. In our 2023 bull sale the Shiloh boys purchased a maternal brother, Allison Refine 78K, for use in their heifer pen. We used Refine with excellent results as well! Mesmerize, Asteroid, and Golden are a moderate type with big muscle, excellent skeletal shape, and wide based.

We chose to incorporate Sundance into our program and the results are incredible. Note that full brothers sell as lots 18, 27, and 28. His full sister was sold last fall in the Canadian Red Round up for $12,500 to Patchell Livestock in Ontario as a heifer calf. In 2022 we were in need of a couple heifer herd bulls. We made the trip twice down to Flying K Ranch and took the whole day getting to know their program and selecting potential herd sires. Over the past couple years, I have had the pleasure to follow the development of the bulls at Allison Farms. An absolutely impressive set of Red Angus cattle. This year is no exception. Each fall forages are tested, and diets are built to ensure proper growth and development of the bulls. The cow herd utilizes a customized mineral program that is balanced throughout the year, which supports proper bull calf development from a young age. The bull feeding program is built to maximize forage utilization and gut health: they are developed on grass with their moms and then moved onto a balanced TMR that promotes lean
muscle. The bulls are challenged with a foraged based TMR to help them develop to their genetic potential. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and overall health.
