How Do You Choose To Handle Stress?

Stress is a word that can describe many different things, but we all have it and we have to find a way to handle it. Stress can have different triggers, and it can begin with physical, mental, or spiritual discomfort. More likely it will have its roots in a combination of all three.

My question is this: Does your stress come from within or without? There can, of course, be definite outside stressing agents, but the way we deal with them is all ours. It will help to acknowledge this on some level in order to be more comfortable in our own skin.

Some of us are blessed with the gift of being able to tune-out a great deal of outside stressors that would literally drive others ‘bananas’. Not to pick on bananas, except for the fact that while I was searching for a relatively innocuous term, the universe gifted me with this one. When one thinks about it in a creative sense, a banana comes with a near to perfect, protective, thick skin. Once that skin is peeled back, the banana then becomes vulnerable and is usually eaten or processed into an edible mixture of some kind. Oh-oh, don’t let this happen to you.

There are basically two approaches that are often combined and used to assist people working through issues like stress. One method is to trace back individual patterns of actions and reactions, and the other is to work with the here and now and develop new patterns of action and reactions.

As our daily lives become more complex, there are days when it is going to feel like it is just ‘always something’. We are ever changing beings and if we aren’t the ones doing the changing, then there will always be something or someone changing around us.

An ancient book, Ye Ching, which translated means, the book of change, was a much used divining tool in ancient times. There are many modern versions of it being sold and used today. However, instead of tossing coins, pieces of wood, or straw, I invite you to join me in co-creating, redesigning, or refreshing your very own unique toolbox or first aid kit with your own personalized approaches to dealing with stressors in your life.

You can try your hardest your whole life and never get anywhere. Do you know why? The answer is simple, Because you didn’t believe you could. The same applies in reverse; you can believe you can, but if you give up with the first, tenth, or even the 100th disappointment, you will ultimately fail.

Why? Because belief is needed; belief is the glue that holds your will and your intent together. Everything that exists, in reality, is vibration on all its planes, both subtle and physical.

The act of belief, i.e., your will/intent is aligning your subtle worlds, representing your mental and emotional self with the physical via The Law of Attraction: like energy attracts like energy. It is only when our whole self is in harmony that we can succeed. If your vibrational alignment is off, you will be at cross-purposes with yourself, and it will be a downhill battle with results that are the opposite of your desires.

Determination (never giving up) is needed because we live in a physical world and the material world requires action before anything can manifest. If you stop taking action before you have achieved your goal, you will accomplish nothing.

To accomplish anything, one must first believe and then apply oneself until the desired result is obtained. For best results, always respect and honor others and practice gratitude for all that you have. In doing so, you cannot fail because the whole universe will be in accordance with your desired outcome.

With Giving You Receive

By Wendy Powers Nugent Here we are again in the month of Thanksgiving, not only in the sense of the huge family dinner but in the true spirit of what this day and month represents to all who celebrate.

The first thanksgiving as we all know was due to a bountiful harvest of green corn which was the first successful harvest for the pilgrims since arriving from England to the new world. The first Thanksgiving Day can be traced back to 1621. That year the Pilgrims invited the Wampanoag Indians to a harvest feast after their first successful growing season. Prior harvests had not been successful, but the Wampanoag tribe reached out to the Pilgrims teaching them how to grow corn, beans and squash and catch fish.

The joy that all must have felt with this abundantly successful harvest sitting down to this great feast with the Wampanoag Indians, who through their kind help assured survival in their new world. Thus Thanksgiving was born through the Indians giving knowledge which resulted in the Pilgrims receiving an abundant harvest!

I love Thanksgiving it is my third favorite holiday, proceeded

by Christmas then Easter. All of these holidays have in common gratefulness and having the chance to help others in the joy of giving and receiving.

In this month of Thanksgiving, let go of fear and disappointment. Clear your mind of those things that may distress you and place instead into your consciousness; hope, love and wisdom.

If you are having a hard time looking at positive things that you are grateful for this year, why don’t you start by writing down all of the big things first and continue listing right down to smallest. One of the things I was most grateful for was helping others in need when they were going through great tragedy.

God put me in Vegas during the horrible shootings. I was there for a conference and happened to fly in Sunday morning. I thought about going down to the concert that night, however my intuition screamed out to me not to go. I was not sure why,

but I have learned to listen to my little voice.

So I stayed in that night and decided to go to sleep early so I could be bright and energized for the start of my conference. As I was sharing a room with another girl that was attending the conference we decided to turn off the TV early as not to disturb our sleep. My sleep was anything but restful. I found myself waking and feeling anxious and distressed throughout the night, but did not want to turn on the TV or use my phone, as not to disturb my roommate. Finally, at 6:00am I felt I could open the curtains and turn on my phone and TV that’s when I learned of the horrible events. I was in Vegas for several days and on Tuesday the strip was mostly reopened.

On Monday evening as I fell asleep saying my prayers for all the souls touched by this event I had several spirits come to me confused and did not understand what had happened. Tuesday morning, I gathered up a few of my fellow spiritual friends and we went to the closest place near the site as we were allowed and together we meditated in prayer for peace and to assist spirits too the light.

On Thanksgiving part of my Giving of Thanks will be to give thanks that I could be there to help in the ascension of those lost souls.

While you are mulling over your Giving of Thanks list, think of what you have done to help others. If you can’t think of anything make a list. Start with anyone you gave a helping hand or reached out to someone who needed a hug. Did you smile at someone who needed to find joy or bring laughter to someone who has lost the desire to laugh? Be part of the giving, plant seeds for a future harvest, for all that you give you receive tenfold.

Give thanks for all of your abundance and opportunities to give, have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Enjoying the Beauty of Healthy, Healing Food!

Food is an amazing beauty that touches all of our lives. Even if we are not a self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, we still connect with it each day; from homecooked meals with family, to enjoying our favorite restaurants with friends, and even the quick ‘pit stop’ to refuel. Our world is filled with research, science, and opinions about what it means to be healthful, breaking it down into categories of calories, proteins, fats, etc. This, quite frankly, takes the fun out of eating and distracts us from the gift that food offers.

The word vegetable comes from the Latin root vegetare, which means to “enliven and animate”. This is how food is meant for us in our lives.

We are embarking upon the holiday season, where food is the main component that brings us together. It is a time of joy, happiness and celebration with those we love. The sad thing is, fear plays a part of this season, because food is often forefront of our gatherings.

Office parties, events with family and friends, leads to the notion we will be gaining 10+ pounds by the time the celebration is done. This fear distracts us from the enjoyment of food and the healing it offers our bodies.

Healthful eating is knowing your body and the way it responds to that which you feed it. If we take the time to listen more closely, to observe our cravings or potential pit falls, we begin to align with ourselves in a holistic way. Awareness of our own self, then, becomes the goal to approach healthful eating; being mindful of the products we choose, their processes and how we individually respond. It is from this place we can make the best decision for our body.

Let this season’s focus be one of enlivening your body!

Fall Vegetable Stew 4 strips of Bacon, diced (may omit if vegetarian, use olive oil in place) 2 c. Mushrooms, rough chop 1 ea. Onion, diced 3 ea. Garlic Clove, minced 4 ea. Carrot, rough chop 3 ea. Celery, rough chop 1 small Butternut Squash, peeled and diced 1 lb. Brussel Sprouts, halved 2 ea. Apple, diced ½ head Cauliflower, florets separated ½ c. White Wine or ¼ c. Vinegar (White Balsamic, Red Wine or White are great options) ½ Gallon of Chicken stock or Vegetable Stock 1 t. Rosemary, fresh or ½ t. dried 1 T. Oregano 1t. Garlic Powder 1 t. Onion Powder Salt and Pepper to taste Place bacon in stockpot, turn heat to medium, and allow the fat to render.

Once cooked, separate bacon and fat. Use the fat to sauté onion and garlic.

Once translucent, add carrot, then celery.

Allow to cook for 5-7 minutes, then add butternut squash, brussel sprouts and apple.

Sauté for 5-7 minutes, then add cauliflower.

Turn heat to high, allow pot to become hot, deglaze (add in) wine or white vinegar, whichever you feel most comfortable with. Let the liquid reduce until almost evaporated, then add stock and spices.

Let stew simmer for 35 minutes or until vegetables are cooked.

The longer you allow it to cook, the better the flavor will be.

This is a great recipe for the Instant Pot or the Slower cooker! Season to taste with salt and pepper and enjoy!

Is There Someone You Need to Forgive?

Many people feel that they have been wronged by someone in their past. Often this is a parent, or siblings, or a life partner. It may be true that you were treated in a hurtful way. You may think the person who wronged you doesn’t deserve to be forgiven. Unfortunately, holding on to this position is hurting you a great deal more than the other person. You may have been holding on to this anger or resentment for years without realizing the toll it is taking. The fact is, the person or persons who have wronged you may not even be aware of how you feel. They are probably going about their life without any thought about what they did to you. They are not the ones suffering.

There is an interesting analogy about not forgiving. It states, “Not forgiving others is like drinking the poison and hoping the other person will die.” The point is that you are drinking the poison and you are the one who is suffering as a result of this. Why punish yourself in the present because someone hurt you in the past? This just increases your pain.

It is vital to let go of what happened in the past and learn to forgive others, if you wish to heal. Forgiveness is not for the other person, it is really for you. By forgiving others you free yourself.

You may be familiar with the “Course in Miracles.” It states that “All dis-ease comes from a state of unforgiveness.” So if you are experiencing dis-ease, you might want to contemplate who it is you might want to forgive. Forgiveness has nothing to do with condoning the behavior. Rather, you are just letting it go and are getting on with your life. It might help you to realize that the person you need to forgive may also have been in a lot of pain. Forgiveness is a way of loving yourself.

While you may want to get back at the person you feel has harmed you, you are actually causing many more problems for yourself. Many people do not want to let the person who has hurt them “off the hook,” believing that will allow the person to get away with it. But holding on to the anger may be causing you serious problems, both physical and psychological, greatly affecting the quality of your life. In this state you are unable to make changes or improve your life; you cannot move forward.

Furthermore, there may be devastating consequences by not forgiving. Dolores Canon, a hypnotist who often communicated with beings on the super conscious level, stated that many people have cancer because they would not forgive. That is how powerful and destructive not forgiving is. Many illnesses are a result of not forgiving. We cannot change what happened in the past. We can, however, change our thoughts about the past.

Dr. Wayne Dyer used to say when he was a psychologist doing therapy, and his clients blamed their parent or parents for the problems in their life, “Send your parents to me for therapy, I will cure them, and then you will be all right.” Obviously, curing your parent or parents is not going to do anything to make your life better. You need to accept that you are responsible for what is occurring in your life. If you are waiting for someone else to change in order to be happy, you will never be happy. You are the one who needs to make the changes.

If you are finding it very difficult to forgive, hypnosis can be enormously helpful. Hypnosis deals with the subconscious part of the mind, and by accessing the subconscious one can more easily learn to forgive, and let past hurts go.

ROCK OF THE MONTH: Tourmaline Tourmaline is a triagonal, three-sided crystalline formation, found in California, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Russia and Brazil.

Its variety of colors depends on what metals were present while crystallizing. Tourmaline has all the colors of the rainbow: clear, black, brown, tri-colors and bicolors. It’s the only mineral that displays such a large variety of colors. Tourmaline is unique in the fact that it emits energy, instead of absorbing it.

Each color of Tourmaline can be used on the appropriate color for each chakra. Tourmaline cleanses, stimulates, opens and maintains our chakras, clears our meridians, reenergizes, rejuvenates, enhances confidence and inspiration, alleviates fears, and balances the body and mind both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Black Tourmaline is protective, grounding, alleviates pain, strengthens bones, feet and circulation. My healing room has a piece of black Tourmaline in each corner, protecting my client and self. Pink Tourmaline or rubellite stimulates our heart and crown chakras, enhancing the highest aspects of love. It promotes peace, joy, trust, awareness, enthusiasm for life, feminine power, heart, lungs, skin and the endocrine system.

Green helps us see from the heart, opens the heart chakra, strengthens positive masculine traits with compassion and activates cells to heal. It also inspires prosperity, success and creativity, transforms lower vibrational energies, and enhances the eyes, heart, thymus and immune system.

To use Tourmaline in meditation, you only need one piece.

Focus on your breath. Start at the crown chakra and work down through each chakra, to the base, using the same affirmation and visualization for each. Hold the stone on each chakra for 5 minutes, before moving on to the next. As you hold the

Tourmaline on each chakra, visualize a ray of light emanating out of the Tourmaline, and filling each chakra it is held on. This amplifies the Tourmaline’s properties. Hold the Tourmaline on your crown chakra, inhale, and feel your crown chakra opening like a lotus blossoming.

Visualize a ray of light emanating from the Tourmaline into your crown chakra, filling it with radiant light. As you exhale repeat, “I now release everything that is not for my highest and greatest good.”

Now bring your awareness and the Tourmaline to your third eye chakra and follow the above steps for each chakra. Inhaling, feel the chakra opening and visualize the chakra being filled with the energy ray of the Tourmaline. Then exhale, repeating the same affirmation. Have fun!

Collagen protein powder is designed to provide the benefits of bone broth without time intensive preparation. In my practice I’ve had great success with whole food supplements filling nutritional gaps in patient’s diets. I often suggest making shakes made from whole food sources - with or without pulverized vegetables and low glycemic fruits such as berries - to increase nutrition. Adding a flavorless, odorless powder sounds like another easy way to increase nutrition and boost collagen levels.

As the main structural protein within the body, collagen contains 19 amino acids. Even a healthy body cannot make most of these amino acids so they must be obtained from food. The four key amino acids utilized by the body that form collagen include proline, glutamine, glycine, and arginine. As the chief component of collagen, proline is essential for healthy skin, hair, and nails. It builds the gut lining, facilitates digestive function, repairs tissue within joints and arteries, and supports healthy blood pressure levels and cardiovascular function.

While there are at least 16 types of collagen within the human body, 80-90% are Types 1, 2, and 3. Type 1 is most abundant and considered the strongest type of collagen in the human body. Important for wound healing, it gives skin its stretchy and elastic quality, holds tissue together so it doesn’t tear, replaces dead skin cells, and reduces cellulite, stretch marks, and dimpling. Collagen is often referred to as the “glue” that helps hold the body together.

The body’s collagen production begins slowing down with age. Signs of aging, such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and joint pains may be attributed to nutritional deficiencies including lack of collagen. However, the clock ticking isn’t the main reason the body begins to break down with age; ingesting sugar in any form, smoking, drugs, and other unhealthy lifestyle factors negatively affect collagen production.

Animal products including eggs, poultry, fish, and milk help boost collagen formation. The best natural way to obtain collagen is to consume bone broth, natural bouillon, or stock made with all the parts of the animal as our thrifty ancestors did.

They cooked down all the bones, skin, tendons, and ligaments

rather than discarding them as is standard practice today.

Collagen Sources: Bovine collagen comes from the skin, bones, and muscles of cows. Similar to the human body, it contains the highest amount of Type 1 collagen. It’s useful for creatine production, building muscle, and helping the body make its own collagen due to its rich supply of the amino acids, glycine and proline.

Chicken collagen is primarily Type 2. Known for building cartilage, it’s also beneficial for joint health because it contains chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate.

Fish collagen is mostly Type 1. It’s known for being easily absorbed and its abundance of amino acids glycine, proline and hydroxyproline.

Egg shell membrane collagen (from the shells and whites of eggs) contains mostly Type 1 collagen. It also has Type 3, 4 and 10, but most prevalent is Type 1, similar to the human body. Egg shell membrane has approximately 100 times more Type 1 than Type 4.

Creams and powders often claim to revitalize skin by adding collagen but the molecules in many topical products may be too large to be absorbed through the skin. However, consuming collagen through the diet and/or supplementation can help skin improve from the inside out.

Before purchasing a collagen supplement or powder, look for products that derive their collagen from grass-fed, pastureraised cows (without antibiotics or chemicals) and wild caught fish. Chicken and egg based collagen should ideally be obtained from environmentally conscientious farms.

Home cooked meals are rare in today’s world because there’s so much involved in finding recipes and shopping for ingredients as well as being home to prepare and eat your meal. matter, matters less and what is truly important rises to the top. You learn to discern truth from untruth. Things get done effortlessly. New ideas come forth providing solutions to problems. A sense of calm settles in. You feel grounded and connected to life. You become a giver rather than a taker, yet paradoxically you seem to receive more than before.

If you are experiencing unease, sadness, anger, or feelings of anxiety, you may need to look at the thoughts that lead to these feelings of hopelessness and powerlessness.

When we are bombarded with too much information it can be hard to sort through all the thoughts we think or all the information we take in, and ask the critical questions like “is the true?”, “is it important to me?”, “what can I do to change this?” We are often left feeling like we just want to hide from life, but deep down we know that retreating from life cannot help. We need another way.

The good news is that there has always been another way. The contrast we experience is calling us to choose anew and rise above these lower energies.

The way is easy. Simply raise your energy vibration and stand in your light.

Your light is strong. No darkness can hide from it. In fact, and this is the power of the light, the light transforms darkness into light. The darkness simply and effortlessly goes away in the presence of light. Does it take any effort to turn on the light switch in a dark room? No, of course not.

When you enter a dark room, you must turn on the light to find your way.

Otherwise you will bump around in the dark, get disoriented, hit your head, stub your toe and walk in circles. So what are we waiting for? So many of us are waiting for someone else or something else to change, yet it is only you who can turn the light on in your field of consciousness. But when you do, profound things begin to happen.

When your light shines bright, everything is seen from a different perspective. That which seemed to 16

worlds. This is the power that is yours to behold. This is how we overcome the darkness in the world.

The higher energies of love and joy desire to be made manifest into the world, yet they can only be expressed through you and me. If the world is going to peaceably, gently and joyfully evolve, then it needs us to rise up to new and higher states of awareness. This is what you and I came here to do. So let’s begin.

This higher version of you radiates out into the Universe and the Universe answers. These high vibrations are so compelling and attractive that it transforms not only your life but the lives of others, near and far. It is obvious that those you relate to daily would be affected, but it is not so apparent that those you do not know are also impacted.

Every conscious minute makes a difference. Commit to daily prayer, meditation, and/or conscious breathing.

One conscious minute, breathing in, breathing out, be-ing presence.

Even one conscious breath makes a difference. Take one now. Put your attention on your breath; breathe in and then out. Notice the difference in how your body feels and your mind clears. Do this throughout your day.

Consistency is important.

Internationally renowned psychiatrist and best-selling author of “Power vs.

Force”, David Hawkins, scientifically developed a logarithmic scale of consciousness. It ranges from 0 to 1,000 with 1,000 being the highest level of energy the human body can contain (Think Christ or Buddha). The level of 200 marks the difference between positive and negative energy. Fear, anger, guilt, all calibrate below 200. Joy and love calibrate in the 500’s. “A Course in Miracles” calibrates in the 600’s as well as the teachings of Lao Tsu. The mantra OM calibrates in the 700’s as does the King James version of the Bible.

When you do, no one will likely notice, no one that is, except you and your Creator. You know the difference you will have made and that will have made all the difference.

105 Universal Laws (part 2)

Following up from last month, here are the rest of the universal laws. If you know more about it, please contact me at: info@bodymindspiritguide.com 41. The Law of Identity. This law pertains to the individual right of all to create one's own beingness. It applies to the time spent between incarnations as well as third dimension incarnational experiences. When an entity merges with the Great Central Sun/God, the entity still may separate to accomplish something, and will possess his/her individual identity.

42. The Law of Intention. When a person's intention is held in the mind and action of the physical effort does not follow, people create false impressions of self. He or she thinks self is good or better than actions prove. Energy must follow intention for that which is perceived as good to happen. When an act of kindness is performed and intention is such that one wishes to be recognized for goodness, or has underlying motivation which is not of the higher order, higher rewards will not be forthcoming. Intention and effort must be of the higher vibration to gain or create spiritual accomplishment and reward. If a person gives a promise to another to do something and has an intention to do so, but does not follow through with action, this becomes a lie, a breaking of one's word, and creates karma.

43. The Law of Intuition. We can only get in touch with our own source of intuition and wisdom when we no longer depend upon others' opinions for our sense of identity or worth. Do we value and trust our own intuition, or do we value and transfer authority to the opinions of others over our own inner feelings? Our intuition becomes more profound when we claim our own sacred identity.

44. The Law of Inverse Proportions.

(Longevity) One need not die if the pranic life force is not lost but increased, and drawn from the Cosmic source, conquering death and fate. The span of life is related to the rate of breathing.

If the span of life is 120 years and the normal person breathed 21,600 times per day, that is 15 respirations per minute.

If the rate of breathing is 18 per minute, however, the span of life will be about 96 years. If because of poor living habits and needless expenditure of energy the average rate of breathing is 30 per minute, the life span will be only 60 years. If the rate is slowed through yogic practices and self control to an average of only 5 respirations per minute the life span will be 360 years. If it is one per minute, the life span will increase to 1,800 years. If the rate of breathing is reduced to zero, the life span becomes infinity. The secret of longevity lies in the technique of diverting the breathing to the subtle channels and centers.

47. The Law of Knowledge. This law concerns the fact that all knowledge concerns energy, its application, and its use or misuse. Thought is a force, even as electricity or gravitation. The human mind is a spark of the almighty consciousness of God. Whatever the powerful mind (holding a pure thought - that which excludes any other thought) believes very intensely will instantly come to pass.

55. The Law of Mantras. Each mantra is a linkage to a certain aspect of the absolute, a certain manifestation of Divinity. In true mantra practice, one forgets the fact that the self is chanting, becomes the mantra itself, and attains the state where nothing but the mantra exists. One's being then connects with the higher being the mantra represents if it is the name of a Master Being, or connects with the ray of light emanating from God if it is a sound (aum or om, hu, etc.). 56. The Law of Meditation. This law is defined as a current of unified thought.

It is a continuum of mental effort to assimilate the object of meditation, free from any other effort to assimilate other objects. The very least that may happen is the calming of self. When meditating on God, the most profound happening will bring a merging of the two, or enlightenment, as Buddhists call this occurrence.

57. The Law of Mentalism. "THE ALL is MIND" The All is substantial reality underlying all the outward manifestations and appearances which we know as empirical. The material universe, phenomena, matter, energy and all that is apparent to our material senses.

It is spirit undefinable, unknowable, and thought of as a universal, infinite, living mind. This Law explains the true nature of energy, power and matter. The Universe is mental in nature, and mental transmutation is the art of changing the conditions of the universe, along the lines of matter, force, and mind. The atom of matter, the unit of force, the mind of man, and the being of the arch-angel are all but degrees in one scale, and all fundamentally the same. The difference is solely a matter of degree and rate of vibration. All are creations of the All, and have their existence solely within the Infinite Mind of the All. 58. The Law of Miracles. This law is operable by any person who has realized that the essence of creation is light. A master is able to employ his/her divine knowledge of light phenomena to project instantly into perceptible manifestation the ubiquitous light atoms. The actual form of the projection (whatever it is, water into wine, medicine, a human body) is determined by the master's wish and by his/her powers of will and visualization. again into a new experience. We can make the most of these experiences or we can resist them, but they will continue regardless, throughout our lives as adults, and we will continue to grow.

Currently, we are undergoing one of the very challenging phases of social and planetary experiences. It would be easy to lose trust because there are so many things, whether we look at society, finances or the environment, upon which we rely which are currently in precarious states. The unconditionally loving intelligence of the universe has brought us to this pass for a reason. It is no more our fault than it was when we were birthed out of our mother’s womb into the harsh hospital environment. This is the way things are required to go, even though it may appear to be disastrous. It is time for everything to change, but it isn’t the end, it is just the beginning of something better.

For people who have learned to be sensitive and caring about others and the environment, it is natural to look at greedy and damaging behaviors of humans and be frightened, angry and judgmental. These responses make perfect sense, however they aren’t helpful. When you look instead to the higher intelligence in the universe, by whatever name you like to call it, and let go of your judgment to try to see things from that clearer place, you may find a different perspective.

What I have found there is the realization, that like the complete change each of us experienced in leaving our mother’s womb, our world is going through a complete change. Humans are being directed to find our true self within, and in so doing to allow a new world to emerge around us. This is called the journey of ascension, and it is a complete shift for everyone and everything in our world. Fortunately there are stages for these changes, so it doesn’t end abruptly or in an apocalyptic manner, but progresses over time like walking up a very long flight of stairs.

The job of ascension is to integrate the unconditionally loving intelligence of the universe into ourselves and our world. The world will follow what humans do, so beginning within our personal selves is our most important job. Each of us was created by our individual Higher Self. Over many lifetimes we have been growing the soul muscles and capacities that our Higher Self requires in order for it to live wholly within the created world. Every challenge and restriction we have experienced has been toward this goal.

The current state of insecurity in our world is an opportunity to embrace our Higher Self and the unconditionally loving energies of the universe as more than just an idea. Who we really are is an eternal, safe and unbreakable spiritual being. Our human self is the creation of that spiritual truth, and it is being asked to believe and trust in that; more than in the security of society and even nature. Like the child leaving the womb, our creature selves are entering an incomprehensible new experience -- we are being asked to become one with our eternal natures and to rely on that for our survival. This will allow us to surrender the old and enter the new and much better experience that life holds for us here on Earth.

We are engulfed in the sounds, smells, visual delights, hugs and “warm fuzzies”, and the marvelous tastes and treats for the palate that we only experience once a year. So, let’s use these sensual delights to Feng Shui our homes and offices for the holidays.

Remember, the idea of Feng Shui is to enhance the life energy, or Chi, in the home or workplace and make things more harmonious. The most important thing for the holidays is to keep YOU harmonious and filled with life energy! Not an easy task in our hectic society!

The first and maybe the most difficult thing, is to keep things SIMPLE. There are many ways to enhance the home or workplace to help smooth out the energy roller coaster created by the holiday rush. Let’s take a look at the Western version of the Feng Shui Bagua, to find some of the places where we can create more harmony.

Since the holiday focus is often on family and friends, let’s begin by adding enhancements to the Family and Relationship areas.

To enhance the Relationship area, add some fresh new green plants to power up the harmony, peace, and growth. This is a good area to add some soft pink items, (GREAT place for a loving rose quartz crystal) to generate the unconditional love that the season is really all about. Add some red power plants (poinsettias are in season!) to the Wealth area to keep the finances strong on the home front. You could also add some good silk flowers to this area to boost your wealth. At this time of year some of the stores have artificial gold poinsettias that are quite effective and attractive for this purpose.

Fill your home with soothing music and aromas that are comforting and loveinspiring as much as possible. Have a potpourri of apple, cinnamon, vanilla or whatever scent makes you feel “warm and fuzzy” and at peace. Take a bath with lavender, pine, rose, or tangerine to relax and feel calm after a day of holiday shopping, cooking or errands. Keep a small bottle of basil, peppermint or spearmint to inhale gently to revive your mental fatigue and weariness due to stress.

Add a faceted crystal to any area and place it with the intention of bringing a specific energy or state of mind into that area. Make your home or office a wonderland of sights, sounds, smells, touch and tastes that fill your heart with wonder, and your Soul with great joy and laughter.

The Beginnings of Psychotherapy

Traditional psychotherapy began with the insights of Sigmund Freud.

Freud began his therapeutic career by treating women suffering from conversion Hysteria. Conversion Hysteria is a condition wherein women “convert” psychological trauma into physical problems such as a paralysis.

A woman referred to as “Anna O”, was the first case documented by Freud’s mentor, Josef Breuer. She suffered from an arm paralysis. When physicians examined her they found no physical evidence for this paralysis. She was referred to Breuer and was treated with the new science of psychoanalysis. Using hypnosis and ultimately the technique of free association, it was discovered that Anna’s paralysis began with her father’s death. Anna had fallen asleep while standing watch at her father’s death bed.

When she awoke, he had died.

Anna had felt tormented and guilty.

But she had “repressed” those feelings.

Subsequently her mental anguish, due to that repression, became converted into physical symptoms. Through the process of psychoanalysis, she recovered the memories and affect (feelings) associated with that trauma. Once recovered, the repression lifted and the symptoms, the paralysis, went away.

Anna O’s problems became the model for general treatment. Psychoanalysis began to be applied to all psychological issues. It was thought that all symptoms were due to repression, and if lifted, patients became asymptomatic.

Subsequently, research discovered that not all problems could be solved by lifting repression. Later in his writings, Freud broadened his focus. He referred to psychoanalysis as an educational process, which focused on “insight”.

Insight, or the recognition of patterns and historical generative events, became the

cure for all ailments.

I began training as a psychoanalyst, but over the years I started to see insight as only a partial form of treatment.

Recognizing one’s patterns, history, and vulnerability was important, but hardly curative. There were problems.

First, analysis and all insight-oriented therapy only focuses on the cognitive or thinking aspects of our lives. This was summarized by a recent patient who said, “I have been in therapy for years, I understand so much but nothing seems to change.”

Constructive change depends on two other factors: 1) We must delve into both feelings and sensations, not just our thinking processes, and 2) We must change our habits, or style of living through daily practice in order to foster and solidify change.

Insight is a cognitive process. Such processes originate in the left-brain. The left brain houses the ego-mind and is linear, logical and linguistic. The left brain processes and organizes information in respect to insight, memories, ideas, anticipations and labels but it does not experience the world directly.

Direct experience is a function of the right brain, and its currency is the raw data of the senses, and feeling states.

Such experiences are of the moment, and are experienced as a totality, without filters. These are the raw data, and the left brain then translates that data into conceptual processes.

A successful psychotherapy demands practices that cater to cognitions, feelings and the senses.

Karma and Reincarnation are twin laws of creation which are inseparably linked. They have been proven time and time again through metaphysics and scientific investigation, through real-life experience, spiritual wisdom, perception and through the passage of time itself.

The dual-poled Law of Karma embraces every aspect of creation from subatomic particles to galaxies. Whether we believe in it or not, does not affect it. However, when we believe in, and truly understand this Law of God then, and only then, can we begin to become masters of our destinies.

Karma and Reincarnation are not new concepts but ancient ones, found in the records of Egypt, Britain, India, Greece and Latin America, many centuries ago. In Egypt, for example, the great Kings and heroes were believed to be reincarnations of Gods from other worlds.

The oldest religion on Earth, Hinduism, teaches Karma and Reincarnation. Hindus believe that everyone is on the Wheel of Life, and their destinies are dictated by their thoughts and actions in previous lives – or by their individual “Karmic patterns”. Buddhism also teaches Karma and Reincarnation and, although the Law of Karma is associated in people’s minds with Eastern philosophy, it has also been very prevalent in the West.

The rigorous God-fearing Jewish philosophy of an “eye for an eye” and a “tooth for a tooth” is, after all, based upon the unalterable inevitability of this ancient Law of God. Christianity introduced a deeper sense of compassion and love, the hallmark of that great Avatar, whom we call, Jesus.

Revelations, chapter 13, verse 10 reads: “He that leadeth into captivity, shall go into captivity; he that killeth with the sword, must be killed by the sword.”

If you refer to the article I wrote in the October issue of Body Mind Spirit Guide, you will see references to the great Christian father, Origen, who also taught Karma and Reincarnation. This was removed from the Christian Teachings at a synod in Constantinople in 543 AD, where the Emperor Justinian condemned the teachings of Origen and struck the concept of rebirth out of the Christian teachings for he feared that he and the Church would lose power if man realized that he was responsible for his own destiny.

This move, which went against the whole essence of Christianity and in fact all religious teaching has left millions of people in ignorance ever since, many believing instead in the incomplete concept of heaven and hell, as still propounded by many of the Christian clergy today. Many believe that this move by the Emperor Justinian, combined with the ensuing years when many reincarnationists were put to death by the Church, gave stupendous power to the materialism so virulent today.

categories. The first is 'non-attached behavior' and the other is called 'spiritual practice.' Through diligent application of these methods, an individual can free him or herself from the confines of karmically determined existence.

Nothing is a miracle except in the profound sense that everything is a miracle. Is anything more miraculous than that each of us is encased in an intricately organized body, and is set upon on earth whirling through space among the stars?

59. The Law of Monadic Return. This law concerns the 'force of evolution' and is the sum total of three influences. The strength of vibrations from the seven stars of the Great Bear depend upon the closeness of the connection and the accuracy of the alignment between any particular Heavenly Man and His Prototype. Second is the Seven Sisters, or the Pleiades. Third is the sun Sirius. It is the appearance or the disappearance of these waves of life-force which sweeps into incarnation the divine pilgrims, and which brings about the cyclic manifestation of such great Lives as the 'Silent Watcher' and the 'Great Sacrifice.'

Within limits, man is the controller of his destiny, wielding forces and energies, manipulating lesser lives and controlling lesser centers of energy, and as time passes, his radius of control becomes eve more extensive.

60. The Law of No Judgements. The Universal Spirit does not judge us; judgements are human inventions, a means to compare, contrast and control as we judge ourselves against artificial, and often idealistic standards of perfection, morality or truth. Under the law of equalities, our judgements attract judgement to us in equal measure. The life/karmic review conducted by yourself after death is a condition of living in duality/third dimension.

61. The Law of Non-Attachment.

Attachment to the self creates karma.

Non-attachment to the self dissolves karma. This non-attachment to the self is made possible through the realization that the ultimate nature of the self is Empty. The self does not exist as a separate entity. A full conceptual understanding needs to occur, but mere conceptual understanding does not lead to liberation. Many methods have been devised to help human beings attain this realization, and usually fall into two 28

we learn to know our self, to measure and test our ideals, to use faith and to seek understanding through all the other virtues. Patience allows all other virtues to manifest more profoundly. Patiently we realize that any fault we see in another is one we have personal knowledge of from prior experience. Patiently we seek true understanding, not just knowledge, as we realize that every soul is totally unique and will come to its enlightenment in its own time.

62. The Law of Non-Intervention. This law concerns the individual rights of people and society situations to serve self rather than live in the vibration of service to others. This law prevents physical beings and non physical beings from intervening or correcting what they see as wrong or harmful. If this law is violated, there is great karma incurring.

Another aspect of this law is that spirit is not permitted to channel material to a recipient that would force a change in the evolution of the person. There is an exception when the channeler is willing to undergo a trance, and the consciousness leaves the body for another consciousness to enter and impart knowledge that was previously unknown to the individual.

66. The Law of Patterns. Any habit or pattern, whether we call it good or bad, tends to reassert itself over time unless we break that pattern by doing something different. If it is good, we can reinforce the pattern with small self rewards.

We have the power of spontaneous action, doing old things in new ways, changing and restructuring our lives and our behavior. Some of our change ability is dictated by the ways we learned when we were young. We learned to make sense of the world by observing patterns, and this has survival value.

We can correct the patterns we see as dysfunctional, negative or destructive by doing something different that will have sufficient impact to interrupt the old pattern.

63. The Law of One. The Lord and Lady is ONE. All that is, is His/Hers - of self, of the universe, of the activities in the earth.

All moves and has its being in Him. So it is in self. Life itself is the consciousness, the awareness of that Oneness of that Universal Consciousness in the earth.

67. The Law of Perfection. This law concerns the absolute perfection of the process of our unfolding. From a transcendental perspective, everyone and everything is unconditionally perfect.

From a conventional viewpoint, perfection doesn't exist. Excellence is the best we can achieve, and achieving it takes time and practice. When we understand the larger picture, we understand our role and responsibility in helping the world we live in to become more loving, giving, kinder and gentler. When we live up to this responsibility, we expand into the perfection of our higher selves.

64. The Law of Order of Creation.

The beginning of law carries all the way through. And that which comes or begins first is conceived in spirit, grows in the mental and manifests in the material. First it was the means and source or manner by which the powers that be made the centralization for making known to the children of men, and children of God, the directing forces or powers. Man eventually turned this into that channel for destructive forces.

While man developed in this direction for many centuries, humans are leaning toward light. We are reaching toward the critical point of more in the light than in darkness.

68. The Law of Periodicity. Training for the aspirant will by cyclic, and will have its ebb and flow, as all else in nature. Times of activity succeed times of pralaya, and periods of registered contact alternate with periods of apparent silence. If the student develops

CAN DIABETES BE HELPED?

By Dr. Sherry Yale Did you know that diabetes is a degenerative disease?

What do I mean by this?

Can it be prevented? Can it be helped? What are the signs of impending diabetes? What seldom-talked about thing is associated with diabetes? (and I bet you haven’t heard about this unless you read a lot!)

I think we all know that diabetes is on the rise, and that high sugar consumption is creating this epidemic. But let’s talk a little bit more here so that we can do more about it.

First of all, our bodies are meant to heal themselves. Just like a cut finger will heal, your pancreas is also meant to heal.

However, if you keep touching the hot stove that burned you, you will never heal. That “hot stove” to the pancreas is sugar and high-glycemic foods. These are foods that quickly break down into sugar and have a tendency to spike our blood glucose levels. If you look up “white foods”, you will get a list of things to avoid, like sugar, white flour, white potatoes, etc.

When your pancreas starts to weaken, it actually gets hyperactive in a last-ditch effort to keep on going. What this means is that your blood sugar will go too low more often. This is hypoglycemia. (It is why some will get the shakes if they skip meals). Hypoglycemia tends to be a warning sign of eventual diabetes, but correcting your diet can allow the pancreas to heal (stop touching the hot stove).

So, what is the thing about pancreatic health that you probably haven’t heard about? Enzymes! All natural foods contain enzymes. Enzymes help break down food. (A tell-tale sign of low enzymatic activity in food is that it won’t rot if left for extended periods). Foods that are processed and cooked (especially if overly cooked or micro waved) have enzymes largely destroyed. Enzymes are vital. If we don’t get them in our food, guess what organ gets worked and taxed even harder? You got it, the pancreas! It really doesn’t need more stress, does it?!

So, what do these things do to you exactly, as far as blood sugar and diabetes are concerned? These high-glycemic foods rapidly raise your blood sugar level....alarmingly fast and at a rate that is not natural.

as desired, each pralayic period is succeeded by one of greater activity, and of more potent achievement. Rhythm, ebb and flow, and the measured beat of the pulsating life are ever the law of the universe. In learning to respond to the vibration of the high Places, this rhythmic periodicity must be borne in mind.

69. The Law of Planetary Affinity. This law is concerned with the connection of the interaction of the planets with each other and their eventual marriage.

70. The Law of Polarity. Everything is Dual. Everything has poles. Everything has its pair of opposites. Like and unlike are the same. Opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree. All paradoxes may be reconciled. The evidence of this principle is observed in the polarity of planets and the various celestial bodies that includes our earth, solar system, and galaxy. Everything has polarity. Without the law of polarity - light, gravity and electricity would not be possible. On the mental plane, this principle manifests itself in the heart center of each person as the enlightened or dark mind. The Principle of Polarity makes possible the choices we make on the scale of life between good and evil, right and wrong, generosity and greed, love and fear, truth and lies. The law of cause and effect is closely connected to polarity and holds us true to the choices and actions we make by returning to us what we have measured out to others.

Like the swing of the pendulum, it always returns where it began. In biblical terms it is expressed as, "Whatsoever a man sows, so shall he reap." "Do unto others, as you would have them to you." This principle establishes the paradox or the dual aspects of reality. "Everything that is, has its double." Positive and negative, light and darkness, hot and cold, Love and fear, mortality and Immortality.

71. The Law of Prayer and Meditation.

Prayer is a conscious concerted effort to commune with the Consciousness of Life and its Creator and thus we speak to God. Prayer is also an aligning, cleansing process opening up our inner-selves to the Source of all life and demonstrating that we are anxious for enlightenment and guidance. In prayer we speak to God 30

but so often we do not wait for a reply.

Meditation is the freeing and emptying of ourselves of obstacles that hinder communication and allow us to channel the God-Force, spiritually, mentally and physically. Meditation is likened to God speaking to us, and is the attunement of our physical and mental bodies to their spiritual Source. "Be still and know that I am God." In meditation, correctly aligned and unobstructed, the Creative Forces of God can rise along spiritual and physical channels in our bodies and be disseminated through sensitive spiritual chakras. Prayer is the precursor of meditation. Meditate regularly as we meet the Living God within the temple of our own body, cleansed and consecrated.

The only true future that exists is the desire or will of the Source of all Creation that none shall be lost and that the future is happening, unfolding in the I AM, now. Sacred geometry is an aspect, a manifestation of God's love. People who are able to tune into the Akashic records and into the Universal Consciousness are sometimes using sacred geometry to draw a line from the supposed past, present and then to the future. The ability to use sacred geometry comes with the raising of vibration to such a degree, the personality gains the right to assess Akasha for the good of another or self. When reading the energy going to the future of people on earth one must keep in mind that this energy changes from moment to moment. While those powerful prophets of old were correct in their time and some of what they said has held to present day, much of their prophecies have lost relevancy. Just by hearing prediction, we change the outcome to some degree.

72. The Law of the Present Moment.

Time does not exist. What we refer to as past and future, have no reality except in our own mental constructs. The idea of time is a convention of thought and language, a social agreement. In truth, we only have this moment. When we hold regret for an occurrence in the past we keep the regret alive with pictures and feelings we conjure up. When we feel anxiety about the future, we keep the anxiety alive with the pictures we imagine. Time is the abstract concept.

When we practice remembering that the here and now is all we have, our present moments improve.

76. The Law of Radiation.

This expression of Divine Activity is one of the most practical utility.

Understanding radiatory, or emanatory condition of all substances as a specific point in evolution allows one to approach Reality. It is the outer effect produced by all forms in all kingdoms when their internal activity has reached such a stage of vibratory activity that the confining walls of the form no longer form a prison, but permit the liberation of the subjective essence. Liberation means the ability of any conscious atom to pass out of one sphere of energized influence into another of a higher vibration of a larger and wider expanse of conscious realization.

73. The Law of Process. This law is an awareness that we have things to accomplish in our life. If we wish to reach a certain goal, we must set a direction (create order), prepare well and proceed in small but sure steps. Any achievement can be managed in increments. Skipping a single step or taking a shortcut often results in failure. Also included in this law is the knowing to appreciate the accomplishment of a step toward a goal.

77. The Law of Rebirth.

Each life is an assuming of ancient obligations, a recovery of old relations, an opportunity for the paying of old indebtedness, a chance to make restitution and progress, an awakening of deep-seated qualities, a recognition of old friends and enemies, the solution of revolting injustices and the explanation of that which conditions the man and makes him what he is. This law, when

understood, will do much to solve the problems of sex and marriage. It will create a person who treads more carefully on the path of life.

78. The Law of Rebound.

The law of rebound concerns the right of one to come out of a negative situation stronger and bolder and with more soul growth than previously experienced.

This has been used as an example in stories since the beginning of mankind.

Traumatic situations create the need for rebound, and the soul often seeks these negative occurrences to give self and observers a leap in faith.

79. The Law of Repulse.

This is also known as the law of all destroying angels, and its symbol is an angel with a flaming sword, turning in all directions. It is the Angel guarding the treasure, driving man forth in search of anothe way of entrance, thus forcing him through the cycle of rebirth until he finds the portal of initiation. The ray energy is rejecting energy of 1st ray, the dispersing factor.

80. The Law of Responsibility.

It was God's idea to separate, to give our soul existence. It was our idea to go away from God into materiality with the original purpose of profound and speedy soul growth. There are some souls who have experienced, to some degree, soul loss. God is responsible for us through love and we are responsible to become or reclaim this divine love. Once we establish the limits and boundaries of our responsibility, we can take full charge of that which is our duty and let go of that which is not. We find more enjoyment supporting others as we create more harmonious co-operative relationships by understanding that which falls within our realm of responsibility. Under this law we understand a person's need to over co-operate to such an extent that one becomes codependent - the condition which is obsessive focus on other people's lives. This law reminds us to respect our internal values and find our own point of balance.

81. The Law of Rhythm.

Everything flows, out and in; everything

has its' tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates. This principle, on the Physical Plane, is the most visible of all principles and its power is observed within the forces of nature which move the waves and tides of our oceans and the continuous changes of the seasons.

It is observed in the continuous cycles of life, death, and the rebirth of all things, a rise and fall of governments and nations, a constant creation and destruction of suns, worlds, and galaxies. On the plane of energy it is observed in the behavior of the alternating current wave of electricity, light, and heat as it vibrates between the positive and negative pole. Rhythm on the mental plane is experienced as the wide mood swings displayed in human nature. It can be experienced as extreme happiness, and then swing to extreme sadness - from a gentle behavior to an extremely violent behavior at the blink of an eye. Rhythm is the law of compensation and maintains the equilibrium in all things. It returns to us what we measure out in life. The return swing of the pendulum is assured without fail and there is no escape from the effects of this immutable law. This law holds us true to what we believe, or not believe, and compensates us accordingly. All of nature follows this law.

Rhythm perpetuates the phenomenon of time. The pendulum-like swing of rhythm is immutable and we can only counteract its backward swing by mentally polarizing ourselves in a desirable position on the scale of life. It requires a dedicated personal commitment to cultivate the unknown within all of us in order to cause a quantum leap in the evolutionary process of life with all its aches and pains. This is a mental art that is known to hierophants, adepts, and masters of all ages. We will fulfill the law one way or another. Either use the law to our advantage, or become its subject.

The door of universal law swings in all directions. The final result depends what we have chosen to believe and whether or not our belief system allows us to see the truth as it really is. If we do not want to know or do not care, then we

will evolve through the standard process of evolution. Nothing can, or is allowed to stand still. All manifestation is the result of active energy producing certain results, and expenditure of energy in any one direction will necessitate an equal expenditure in an opposite direction.

82. The Law of Right Human Relations.

This law helps us define limits of behavioral control with others in third dimension. Let no one assume to forcibly teach, counsel or guide, for we all have the greatest of these we could hope for already within us. While each teacher is in a manner a director, the individual person may only be a means - not - a way of life. A strong action may promote refusal and achieve rejection, or it may encourage one to become dependent on another's will. By not searching for excellence within, one refuses the gifts already there but not recognized or realized. In our relationships we achieve greater results with others by our own fine example and also listening. People answer their own questions if given enough opportunity. The only real control we ever have and need is with self.

83. The Law of Right to One's Own Space.

This is an aspect of free will, but another law of its own. Everyone is entitled to make career decisions for self, decide the belief system one feels comfortable with, and generally create the life that will allow one to fulfill his or her own birth vision. This is the right to one's own space, the right to live one's own life (allowing for parental direction in the developing young person).

Overprotective or controlling parents, friends and even dictators have impeded this law and right since almost the inception of mankind.

84. The Law of Sacrifice (and Death).

It is also known as the Law of those who choose to die. The symbol is a rosy cross with a golden bird hovering above it. The ray energy is out-pouring 4th ray. At-oneing factor.

85. The Law of Schools. (The Law of Love and Light.)

This is a mysterious term used to cover the law as it affects the expansions of consciousness which an initiate undergoes, and his ability to attract to himself through knowledge, 1 - his own Higher Self, so as to produce alignment and illumination, 2 - his Guru, 3 - that which he seeks to know, 4 - that which he can utilize in his work of service, 5 - other souls with whom he can work.

This law applies to the initiate who has transcended the stage of selfconsciousness.

86. The Law of Service.

The law or science of service grows naturally out of the successful application of the sciences of the antahkarana and meditation, and is the governing law of the future. With the linking of soul and personality the light of the soul pours into the brain consciousness, resulting in the subordination of the lower to the higher. This identification produces a corresponding activity in the personal life and the activity we call service. Therein lies the growth through the service of the race, and through a cultivated selfforgetfulness. Service is the true science of creation and is a scientific method of establishing continuity. This is also known as the law of water and of fishes. The symbol is a pitcher on the head of a man who stands in the form of a cross. This law is the governing factor of the age of Aquarius. The ray energy is out-going energy of the 6th ray, vivifying factor. If the evasion of this law is a conscious action, there are karmic penalties.

This work requires so much sacrifice of time and personal interest, requiring deliberate effort, conscious wisdom and the ability to work without attachment.

87. The Law of Sex. 38

This is the term applied to the force which brings about the physical merging of the two poles in connection with the animal kingdom, and of man, viewing him as responsive to the call of his/her animal nature. It concerns itself with the due guarding of the form in this particular cycle and its perpetuation. It is only powerful during the period of the duality of the sexes and their separation and, in the case of man, will be offset by a higher expression of the law when man is again androgynous.

When the interplay of the Suns is being dealt with from the material aspect and from the consciousness aspect, this term is occultly used. It is not possible to enlarge upon it.

94. The Law of Surrender.

Because people so cherish the self, surrendering is a very frightening experience. A person may experience the surrender as a leap into an abyss or as death. This may be perceived because s/ he has not yet attained a complete trust and faith in God, the complete assurance that once the self is abandoned, the being automatically merges with a higher stage of existence which is necessarily ready and waiting to accept it. There is no chance for the process not to function.

At the instant of surrender, the entire being of the individual merges into the specific higher manifestation of reality that it is in relation to at that point in its development. God streams into the soul that has managed to negate the self. This is the surrender of the idea of i.

90. The Law of Sound.

Every living thing in existence has a sound. Through this knowledge changes will be brought about and new forms developed through its medium. The release of energy in the atom is linked to the science of sound. Healing with sound is profoundly effective (vocal sounds - tuning forks - music). Sound has the power to restore people to their harmonic patterns. Chanting specific sounds and mantrams brings about great healing and raising of vibration, and produces virtually unimaginable results when done with group mantric chanting. The most powerful mantram known to present man is 'Om mani padme hum'.

Protecting Your Energy, Moods and Thoughts

Have you ever been in a good mood, then someone with a negative mood or energy comes along and you “catch” their mood or energy, even their thoughts? Scientists have proven we “mirror” others. How can you keep your good mood, and be centered in your own energy and thoughts?

Health-wise, for mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health, it’s important to stay grounded in positive energy, moods and thoughts as much as possible. Positive energy, moods and thoughts have been shown to enhance health, whereas negativity causes dis-ease in life. Using your breath and yoga can help you ground yourself in your own energy and recognize your own thoughts. Positive or negative, they are your energies, moods and thoughts . And energy, moods and thoughts are transient.. so you can at any time choose how you feel, and what your personal energy will be.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

All you have to do is take a deep breath, step back and be in the present moment... acknowledge how you feel, what your energy and thoughts are... then choose how you want to feel, what energy you want to connect with and how you choose to perceive the situation you temporarily find yourself in.

Later, you can do some inner work by journaling and/or meditating on what you discovered about yourself. First, were those thoughts, energy and feelings yours? Second, if so, are they connected with an original event from your past? For example, did that person you interacted with remind you of someone from your past?

Or, if those thoughts, energy and feelings seemed foreign, just let them go and ground yourself into your own personal energy, your center, and know you can develop better boundaries by practicing meditation and yoga. That way, you can know where your energy ends, what your moods feel like, and which thoughts are actually yours, so that you can protect your own moods, energy and thoughts, living and enjoying life in the present moment.

This law concerns the responsibility people have to pass on that which they learn, for the continuation of the human race to benefit by this information, if it is in the higher interest of people to learn the acquired information.

This is a condition as well as a law of third dimension living. Loving ourselves and other people as they are, is honoring self and another's self and soul path. It is loving without judgement or reservation, an awareness we are all part of God or the All. When we love without condition or restraint we connect in a profound manner with our own higher self. We notice that we say the right things at the right time in our communication with others while loving unconditionally.

Life and events seem to flow to us in a more joyous and agreeable manner.

Everything seems easy when living in unconditional love.

97. The Law of Telepathy.

The will, projected from the point between the eyebrows, is known as the broadcasting apparatus of thought.

When the feeling is calmly concentrated on the heart, it acts as a mental radio, and can receive the messages of others from far or near. In telepathy the fine vibrations of thoughts in one person's mind are transmitted through the subtle vibrations of astral ether and then through the grosser earthly ether, creating electrical waves which, in turn, translate themselves into thought waves in the mind of another person.

98. The Law of Three Requests.

Whenever we pray or request a higher power to assist, we bring stronger energy to the effort by repeating our request/ prayer three times.

99. The Law of Time.

The only moment we have is now. This is where we create. What we have done is done and that moment in history exists only as a record or energy trace in time and space. The consequences of past actions are atoned through karma, and can be rewritten to a degree. The FUTURE only ever happens in and from the present tense and is built of today's thoughts, dressed by emotion and driven by action. Activity is the key.

Third dimension living has more rigid structure of time than fourth dimension existence. There are those who can slip into 'no time' but these are people who have raised their personal vibration (demonstrating many virtues, dispensed a great deal of karma and much killing of the ego) and accessed the information to create the ability. Third dimension linear time was created for those living under this veil of forgetfulness to center in the moment and perceive a sense of order 40

matter, energy, mind and spirit, result largely from varying rates in vibration. All that exists, is in constant vibration and motion. Atoms always vibrate with such great rapidity that they seem motionless to the physical eye. At the other end of the scale are things that vibrate so slowly that they also appear to be motionless or non-existent. In between are the various vibrations of living entities which range from consciousness all the way down to the lowly dust particle that plays an important role in the food chain. Still there are things even lower then dust.

If we were to follow the scale of life all the way down to the utmost regions of the negative pole (undifferentiated matter), we again would find ourselves in the realm of spirit - the Alpha, and the Omega. All that is, begins in spirit and ends in spirit completing a single cycle of evolution that will be repeated countless numbers of times through eternity.

101. The Law of Unity.

We are all connected, all bearing the seed of Divinity. This is the way we start, and the way we develop into eternity. It is only while in third dimension physical form, and because of the greater separation of our higher self from the personality, we experience the illusion that we stand alone. Fear enters our emotional body because of this illusion and begins to close more profoundly our connection to the Source. Also, when we experience great soul growth, in some small but profound manner, all benefit.

All substance in this Universe flows to us and through us. We are All.

104. The Law of Will of God. The creators of our world carry out their work of form-building under this law.

God's working has to do with things free from change and movement - things divine. It is God's will that what is human should be divine, and therefore all creation pushes forth to the God Light.

God is all good, and it is by reason of the Good that all other things exist.

105. The Law of Will Power.

This law concerns the individual drive within a soul extension/personality which is projected from the complete entity. The individual developing soul extension differs in degree of will power from its other entity extensions/soul family members. Depending on the conditions of an incarnational experience and the incoming will of this extension, the personality can possess a drive to accomplish something that may seem overwhelming to others in the soul family and/or other incarnational personalities (friends). This law depicts the right and condition of each personality or soul extension to generate it's own degree of will power.

102. The Law of Universal Sympathy.

This law concerns a yogic power which allows a Yogi (a person who is devoid of the ego-principle) to transfer information, or influence others' minds.

103. The Law of Vibration.

One of the seven laws of our solar system, under the three major laws. This is the basis of manifestation, starting on the first plane, the beginning of the work of the Logos. This is the atomic law of the system, in the same sense that on each of our planes the first subplane is the atomic plane. Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates. This is the law of progress, of movement and of rotation. This Principle explains that the differences between manifestations of

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21) — Happy birthday Scorpio! Wonderful changes happen in relationships! Meditate to forgive and release past difficulties so you can open up to what life offers you now! Make a list of disappointments, betrayals, and hurt feelings that happened over the past two years (a Mars cycle). Maybe these events reflect a longer pattern and childhood issues.

Sorting through subconscious past pain brings it to light so it dissolves. Forgive yourself, too, because you are worthy of love from others, the Universe, and from yourself!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21) — It’s awesome to dream and fantasize about a fulfilling future, but also use your imagination to make a specific plan to manifest your ideal life! You could have weekly accountability meetings with a spiritually-minded friend who believes in your possibilities. You’ll take actions that lead to the success your soul has already created for you! Aries (March 21 – April 19) — You might feel vulnerable because a new relationship is going to a deeper level.

Or perhaps your inner spiritual work is opening doors in your long-term partnership. Watch out for starting little arguments when you’ve been feeling intimate. Alert your loved one that you could create a “push away” and be open to let him/her tell you if it happens.

In meditation, you’re on the verge of a breakthrough, so beware of feeling bored or being inconsistent. The sense of spiritual intimacy with the Universe can challenge you as well.

5 Ways to Create Everyday Magic in Your Home

American novelist Alice Hoffman, author of more than thirty books, has given us yet another gift with her latest book, “The Rules of Magic”. I’m over the moon and thrilled to the tips of my witchy boots! I wasn’t expecting a prequel to the story of the Owen’s family witches, and two little girls who are raised by their eccentric and spell-casting aunts.

On a warm and sunny autumn day, you can find me humming the theme song on my long walks under venerable trees, taking in the unstoppable turning of leaves into rusty red, orange and gold. Next to the greenhouse of healing plants, the Owen’s family kitchen was stocked full of herbs and roots. A little rosemary and lavender, belladonna and sage. Enchanted by that house, it got me thinking about more ways to create magic in our houses and homes. It does the spirit good, and stirs a heart like a cup of homemade hot chocolate on a beautiful fall night. Here are some ways to glamour up your home with magic!

Clean house: After the women have rid Gillian of her tyrant of an ex-boyfriend, one of the ladies says, “Let’s clean house!” Cleaning moves energy at many levels. Have a professional do it if you wish, but when I’m manifesting or clearing something significant, I like to do my own work. Start with floors and get in the corners. Create a magical floor wash charmed with essential oils. Orange is for good luck and wealth; choose lavender for protection, or simply go natural.

Doing this around the time of a new or full moon, multiplies the effects. That opening you feel inside and around you is real!

Open the doors and windows: This is lovely to do when you are cleaning, but any time is good, especially when the house has been shut tight against the

cold. Open the front door and all the windows. Let the fresh air come through.

Light incense and put on some music.

Your mood is lifted and the house vibes have shifted.

Clear clutter: Throw away old papers and organize. Get rid of old magazines from last year. Put your absolute favorites away in a plastic box. Get rid of old clothes or donate them. Cleaning your medicine cabinet during a Virgo new moon or full moon is an invitationactivation of health and healing.

Charm and beautify: Put fresh flowers in every room of your house. A single blossom in a small vase on a kitchen counter is lovely. When your roses age, put the petals everywhere. Gather crystals and elemental pieces like stones, sand and shells.

Hello my friends, Happy Enlightenment November, This month we will focus on enlightenment. This is a powerful month for this because of the number 11. First of all, I hope you are enjoying the exercises that I have been sharing with you this year. I’d like for you to continue the exercises from last month and to focus on Enlightenment.

How do you feel when you see the number 11:11 or 1:11?

Do you see it all the time?

Pay attention to this and other power numbers like 555, 888, 777. 1212, and of course 1111. These numbers have powerful meaning to your personal growth, awakening, abundance, and enlightenment.

Our focus this month is on enlightenment because 11;11 is the code to enlightenment within our consciousness. This means that when you keep seeing these numbers that you are

ready on a very deep level to awaken to a higher level toward enlightenment.

Many think that enlightenment looks a certain way and that we all should have the same perfect experience. This couldn’t be further than the truth; we are now at the time of enlightenment where we are all here to live enlightened lives.

Reality, the universe, heavens are not linear and that is what we are here to bring a new reality minus duality and completely connected. Many of us are consciousness workers who are here to go beyond enlightenment to help the transition we as a consciousness are creating.

So what I ask now more than ever is to focus on clearing things that no longer serve you. If you find yourself judging others that is only self judgment. We are all here to create something entirely different, remember hatred of hatred is still hatred.

Focus on placing yourself in spirit neutral and feeling true empathy for all, do not slip into sympathy. Sympathy is also judgment; you are judging that your experience is somehow better than others.

Okay now do your meditation with focus on spirit neutral and true love and oneness.

I’ve given you a lot to digest sense and feel so let yourself feel what you must.

Thinking with the Heart

What are you passionate about? Most people struggle, trying to determine their calling -- which career to pursue? – what direction to take? We’re all good at many things, but some really draw us in, because we’re attracted to them at a soul level.

How many of you have wondered, at some point, whether you’re on the right path?

Are you doing what you’re truly passionate about? If not, why not? I’d venture to say that most people believe that doing what you enjoy is reserved for the times when you’re not at work. Right? These people end up in a constant battle to find a job that they can tolerate, while still having time to squeeze in those things that really make them happy and feed their souls.

Wayne Dyer said, “Love what you do: Do what you love.”

Confucius said, “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Oscar Wilde said, “When you do what you love, the Universe conspires on your behalf.”

So many quotes, from so many enlightened individuals, pointing toward the same thing -– by committing your life to what you truly love, you’ll have happiness, success and contentment. There’s only one problem with that. Since childhood, we’ve been led to believe that work isn’t supposed to be fun. It’s an obligation whose end goal is to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.

I believe that the true struggle begins with the contrast between thinking with the mind and thinking with the heart. I’ve heard the term, “thinking with the heart” for years, but only recently have I been able to understand this at a much deeper level.

I couldn’t understand how our heart, which is based on emotion rather than reason, could provide clear guidance…until now.

Thoughts and emotions are both energetic, and affect our vibrational frequency.

Good thoughts and emotions raise our vibration, and negative ones lower it. When it comes to manifestation, many people lose faith in the process after repeating the same affirmations day in and day out, without seeing any changes. What they don’t realize is that without connecting the emotions of abundance and success, the words become shallow and powerless.

I consider “thinking with the heart” to mean, moving toward the things that ignite passion in me. Because, when we’re passionate about what we do, we not only do it well, we satisfy our soul’s desire and discover our life’s calling.

Perhaps it’s time to ask yourself, “If I could spend my days doing the things that I love, what would those days look like? And, what would they feel like?” If you don’t have an answer, how do you expect the Universe to know what you want?

It starts by reflecting inward and noticing what draws you in. What ignites your passion? This is something that only you can answer. Once you figure it out, begin to bring it into reality by visualizing yourself already doing what you love, while feeling the emotional high that comes with it. Change your mind-set and erase the line between working and playing. Visualize a life where what you do each day fulfills your needs at all levels -– financial, emotional and spiritual.

Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children The True “Old Souls”

be starting to physically catch-up with his level of spiritual understanding. For the light children, the “norm” is there to be changed or improved. They dislike waiting in line and have difficulty in understanding why other people don’t see things the way they do. Often, they might seem anti-social with their own age group, but totally at home in a group of adults.

It is not unusual for one of my clients to say, “I have been told that I’m an old soul.” To them this means that 1) they have lived a physical life before and decided to return with all or some of the knowledge they gained from their previous incarnation or 2) they lived in spirit for an extremely long period before incarnating into the physical and as such learned more of the universal secrets to survival and happiness.

Either of those possibilities may be true, but the “true” old souls are the Indigo, crystal and rainbow children who are coming into the world. These are very advanced spirits. Some say that these children have been sent to save the world.

There are several personality traits that seem consistent in all of the children of the light. Most all are extremely sensitive to extremes, such as loud music, food seasoning, and bright lights. Loud noises seem to cause great discomfort. Most are strongly intuitive, and find that their intuitions are heightened by a proximity to water. Yes, even showers and baths.

When introduced to a light child, adults may detect an attitude of regality. These children frequently think they have a better idea of how things and society should function, and most are not afraid to voice their opinion of how things would be better if their way were adopted. They are not afraid to challenge authority. One young man (7 years old) was brought to me by his grandmother. He had been expelled from school for being disrespectful to his teacher. His crime? The teacher was covering a math problem that Michael thought was easy. After the 3rd explanation, he asked the teacher, “How many times are we going to have to cover the same problem?” The teacher replied that not all students learn so easily. Michael’s answer got him expelled when he said, “Well then, perhaps they should come in early or stay after school to get extra help.”

I met with him and finally had a chance to meet his parents.

They simply stated that they thought he was a 35 year old man in a toddler’s body, citing that he had no friends of his own age, that he felt more comfortable with teenagers and adults. I have a large picture of an extra-terrestrial in my reading booth at Mystiques. As Michael was leaving, he pointed to the picture and said, “Do you believe in them?” I said, “Yes”. He quickly responded, “Ever seen one?” I said, “No.” Just as quickly he said, “I have.” And, “We should talk again sometime.”

There are many positive traits. They tend to be extremely honest, diligent at tasks, and more often than not, fast learners. For parents, it seems like a monumental task to balance their many personality differences. But if you are able to master the communication with your child, the bond created will be indestructible.

The category that the children belong to is pretty much determined by when they were born; Indigos in the 1940’s, 50’s, and 60’s; Crystal in the ‘70’s, 80’s, and 90’s; and Rainbow in 2000 and beyond. There is hope and much to be learned from these advanced entities, who are now coming into the world at a remarkable rate.

The Ego’s Journey ...

This path of co-creation can exhibit a feeling where the ‘Personality Construct’ ( ego ) believes it is all alone with a “me against the world” agenda. Unbeknownst to the PC it is nothing more than a built in safety mechanism that sprung from birth to help navigate the BODY through challenging episodes. The PC truly does NOT think it is being vindictive by any means. It is working with the downloaded beliefs it came to know, and rightfully so. Would you protect a family member in a time of need regardless of who is at fault?

This is how the PC’s innate safety feature works ( PC ), which is triggered by emotional beliefs.

There is a three part process coming into existence: 1. Spirit animates a BODY 2. Soul occupies it 3. The PC is born and believes it is the owner/operator.

Right from the onset of crying and being pushed into this dense reality the PC begins to believe it’s a cruel world. What the PC often fails to realize is the narrower mindedness that arises from such a judgment the more distant it becomes to the SOUL. The connection to the SOUL is where MAGIC meets physical manifestation. Life’s mission is to allow the two, overtime, to go through experiences that will lead them back to ONE another.
