Have You Ever Had a Fracture of the Spine Due to Osteoporosis? We are looking for postmenopausal women, 45 years of age or older, who have broken a bone in their spine to participate in a clinical research study. This study is currently enrolling and will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in reducing fractures due to Osteoporosis. There is no cost to participate in this study. Qualified participants will receive studyrelated drugs, lab tests, and study-related medical care at no cost. Paw-ty Time was a Doggone Great Event
Hundreds of people and their furry friends descended upon the beautiful Shoppes at Village Pointe for Paw-ty Time, an awareness and fundraising event for the TriCounty Humane Society, a no-kill shelter in Boca Raton. Posh pups strutted down the runway in all their glamorous glory in a show staged by Brygida Trzaska of Doggiefashionshows.com. Then dozens of dogs and their owners took to the stage for the Happy Dog contest. The runner-up was Daisy, owned by Mary Stern, and the winner was Nefertiny owned by Erica Kenwood. Other highlights included energetic performances by Shoppes tenants Boca Dance Studio, Michael’s Body Scenes, and Velocity Martial Arts. “This was an incredible celebration for the community,” said Yvonne Boice, owner of the Shoppes. “Not only did it raise
thousands of dollars for the TriCounty Humane Society, but it also highlighted the landmark achievements of Michael’s Body Scenes and Boca Dance Studio, both observing milestone anniversaries, of 25 and 30 years respectively.” “We are so grateful to Yvonne and the Shoppes at Village Pointe for all of their efforts in creating this wonderfully entertaining event for us,” said Amanda Chussler from the Tri-County Humane Society. “Everyone who attended had such an incredible time!” Special thanks to Entertainment by Scott Evans, BC TACOS, and the 50 plus vendors and artists who made this Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s Boca Festival Days event such a howling great day!
