Message from the Board Dear Members, We are pleased to present you with a clubhouse and golf improvement plan that we believe will give Wycliffe - the home we all love - a vibrant future. This plan preserves all that is good about our Club and adds new amenities in a beautiful and contemporary environment. This Plan balances our competitive golf and tennis facilities with the growing demand for resort-like amenities. The trend proven to shape the future of country club living is for more leisure time activities along with a focus on health and wellness. Several information sources influenced the facility improvement plan, including membership opinion through surveys and suggestions during POD community meetings. We obtained
additional insight from our professional management team, industry architects, designers, and consultants. These facility and golf improvements will enable us to offer programs and activities that will keep our Club competitive for many years to come. Given current favorable economic conditions, we are able to fund the improvements we need at a low cost to members. We hope that every member will take advantage of the improved facility and golf amenities. As is so often the case, you may not play cards today but might in the future. You may not golf, but have friends that do. You may prefer a more formal dining experience, but know others who prefer our casual dining venue. This plan takes into

consideration the ever evolving needs and desires of our current membership and positions the community favorably to attract new members who desire Wycliffe’s lifestyle and culture. Message from the Strategic Planning Committee Our strategy is to position Wycliffe to attract and retain the next generation of members, while providing our current members an even better and more contemporary country club lifestyle. In 2014, the Strategic Planning Committee engaged in research and development of a comprehensive strategic plan for Wycliffe Golf & Country Club. The plan addresses all key areas of country club strategy, including governance, finance, amenities, management of the Club, and programming. The developmental work included analysis of the changing trends in the residential and country club industry. The research sources included publications from professional organizations, such as the Club Managers Association of America, (CMAA) RSM/ McGladrey, and national industry leaders. CMAA is recognized as a leader in Country Club Management serving 6,500 members from approximately 2,500 clubs. RSM/ McGladrey is also recognized as a leader in country club management. They produce an annual industry trend update and are widely considered to be a valuable research partner for strategic planning in the club industry.
Other sources of insight came from realtors, country club competitors, and industry consultants. Extensive data came from each department manager, their teams, Board members, and committee members. Opinions of our membership through numerous surveys, focus group interviews, and committee recommendations were a key component in our analysis. The Strategic Plan was vetted and approved by the 2015 Board of Directors. A link to that plan can be found on www.wycliffecc.com. Subsequent to that approval, the Property and Golf Committees were charged with the development of a clubhouse and golf improvements plan to reflect the physical improvements to the club. Wycliffe is a beautiful club with a culture of relaxed elegance which must evolve with changing times. We must consider the market realities as we plan for the future. Our research reveals that the features valued by the next generation of country club members are shifting from those valued by past generations. We need to have the amenities and features considered important by our members and future buyers who are considering residential country club living. 44
According to the experts at RSM/McGladrey: Quality physical facilities are a critical component of member recruitment and retention efforts. Clubhouse renovations, including enhancements of casual dining offerings, wellness centers and pool area expansions, are all increasingly popular as clubs seek to broaden their appeal beyond being viewed solely as a golfing experience and communities transform themselves into resort–style living models. While we are not trying to be somebody we’re not—we must preserve our culture as we improve our facilities to satisfy our existing members, and attract new members who value our own Wycliffe experience. The reality is that we do compete for members with all of the clubs in our market area. We believe this Clubhouse and Golf plan will secure our lifestyle well into the future.

West Golf Course Overview
Modifications being proposed are the result of many focus group sessions that were conducted with selected Wycliffe membership groups of all skill levels.
The rough grass will be replaced with celebration grass to enhance the look and playability of the course. Recently replaced turf not impacted during the restoration will remain intact.
In response to the membership feedback, the West Golf Course will be enhanced to significantly improve playability and create more aesthetic value for the course.
Rock bulkhead will be implemented to help provide better containment around greens as well as create a rich and unique look to the course.
Bunkers and greens will be reconfigured as appropriate since they are approaching the end of their useful life.
Selective landscaping will also be an additional feature to help beautify and frame the approach to the greens.
