Dear Premier Club Members, I hope you all had a fun, festive, and safe New Year’s celebration! As we wrap up our 90th anniversary celebration, I’d like to quickly recap what’s been a truly transformational year. We’ve made significant improvements to both property and programming over the past 12 months. Here are just a few highlights: • Refurbishment of the Members’ Club Room, main hallway, Boca Country Club, Cathedral, and – of course! – the Resort Golf Course. • The new Artist-in-Residence program, which gives guests an opportunity to interact with top names in fashion, television, music, and the culinary arts. • Sunset Rituals – our outdoor fun and relaxation series, featuring beach yoga and fitness, bocce tournaments, Taco Tuesdays at Shaka Bar & Grill, and much more. • Corks & Conversations – our brand-new social food and wine series, which includes premium wine tastings and gourmet dinners hosted by acclaimed chefs.

Keeping It Fresh
at the Boca Beach Club Fresh-caught fish from South Florida’s shores highlights the new seasonal menu at Seagrille. Florida pompano, wahoo and yellowtail snapper are among the local favorites that you can enjoy. Winter crops are in, too, so you can enjoy that fish prepared with spicy toasted quinoa, pomegranate seeds, roasted squash, parsley, mint, orange, caramelized onion and olive oil. As I write this, Jill Dwoskin’s Claymate Queen Division Friday team is – as usual – leading the league. Kathie Herrel’s Princess Division Wednesday team is also #1. Captain Carol Mielz has her South Palm Beach County Women’s Tennis Association team in a photo finish for the #2 spot on Wednesdays. After moving up a division in that league, Bonnie Zeiger and Carol Smokler have their Tuesday Division 5 team in the middle of a 13-team race. We also have a new team competing in the SPBCWTA league – a Division 4 team led by Mary Weinstein that plays on Fridays. We’ll have even more league action as the competition heats up this month. Our Senior Women’s team (Captain Jill Dwoskin) will play on Mondays and the Senior Men’s team (Captain Mac Conahan) will take to the courts on Thursdays. We’re extremely proud of all our teams and all the players who represent us in league competition. If you’d like to see some great tennis, I urge you to come out and support them. After admiring the Resort & Club’s beautiful croquet court and seeing members of our Croquet Club enjoying the game, the couple signed up for the free lessons available to Premier Members. “We discovered that we could play without any pain or physical stress and have been playing ever since,” Gail says. “We discovered a whole new world of great people who have taken us under their wing and have been teaching us the strategic game of croquet,” she explains. “Who knew it was strategic? It’s not at all like the backyard croquet we played when we were kids.” Since joining the Croquet Club last November, Gail and Sherman have played successfully in tournaments at the Resort & Club as well as at other clubs in Florida.
