Dear Premier Club Member, By the time this copy of Boca Club Life reaches your in box or mail box, you’ve probably heard of my departure to work directly with the Resort & Club’s ownership group on the Stuyvesant Town acquisition on the lower east side of Manhattan. Such a decision comes with mixed emotions. For three years I was fortunate enough to act as the chief steward of one of the greatest hotels and clubs in the world. I write steward because of not only the Resort & Club’s place in the fabric of the City of Boca Raton, but more so in recognition of how many members have powerful attachments to the Club for so many reasons. Countless members have let me know of the Resort & Club being the place where their kids learned to swim, tasted lobster for the first time or celebrated their bar mitzvah. So many new members are grown children of existing members who have joined with the desire to replicate their childhood memories but now its three generations instead of two. The common thread is the pink hotel or the Boca Beach Club. I also owe the Resort & Club’s membership heartfelt thanks for preparing me for this next undertaking. I leave a membership of over 3,000 families to serve a swath of historic New York real estate and its 11,000 plus apartments and 25,000 residents. Many of you know of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village; it’s as diverse as our membership and I will be caring for a spectrum of residents from seniors to NYU students. My interactions with the Advisory Board of Governors, various committees, men’s golf league and my favorite ladies who play mahjong each afternoon have given me a solid foundation to work with the Tenant’s Association and the residents. It’s a level of gratitude that deserves more than what can be expressed in a column. To steal from Lou Gehrig, ”I consider myself the luckiest man on earth”. But this also extends from my family as well; we thank you for three memorable years that we will treasure forever. Rick, Carol, Jordan and Jamison

A few kindly reminders from the Boca Beach Club for the upcoming holidays: • Guests of Members must be registered prior to arrival and are requested to park at the Main Resort. • Saving of chairs for persons not present on the pool deck or beach is prohibited. Chairs that have been unattended for one hour may be given to waiting guests or Members. Personal belongings will be removed and turned in to Security. • Beach umbrellas are limited to one per two chairs or two per party. Cabana rentals are limited to a party of six. • Food and beverage service is provided by the Resort & Club. Coolers are not permitted. • Unaccompanied guests will not be permitted access to the Beach Club beach or pool areas during the dates of December 26 – January 1.
