Love the Stranger, 1 Kislev 5774 – September 5, 2013

R’Elliott Tepperman Bnai Keshet

I would read the verse, love stranger, so you can love yourself. I would like to conclude with the poem, With that Moon Language by the 14thc century poet Hafez: Admit something: Everyone you see, you say to them, “Love Me.” Of course you don’t do this out loud; Otherwise, Someone would call the cops. Still though, think about this, This great pull in us to connect. Why not become the one Who lives with a full moon in each eye That is always saying With that sweet moon Language What every other eye in this world Is dying to Hear. May this year be filled with the blessing that comes when we love the stranger. Leshanah Tovah.
