I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day and enjoyed the extra day off over the President’s Day weekend. Having only 28 days, February is the only month of the year that can pass without a single full moon. For those of you not tracking this event, it last occurred in 2018. It happens about every 19 years. When February is without full moon, then the preceding January or December, and the following March or April, have two full moons.

Many of you are using the Mueller Fitness Center to shed a few of the extra pounds you gained over the holidaysplease remember children 11 years old and younger are not authorized to be in the fitness workout areas or machines/equipment areas. Youth 12-15 year old must be directly supervised at all times. The sauna/steam room limits to anyone under 18 years of age due to liability and safety concerns. parking lots, and common use sidewalks are clear of ice and snow – and I am sure they will still have more to do! Please take your time and thank them next time you see them in your area. They are a great bunch of guys and a smile and thank you would really make their day!
If you are a building manager, you are responsible for safety in and around your building. Thanks to everyone who ensures trash is policed up, especially if it's a hazard like broken glass, nails or other sharp objects. There are still patches of ice on post, particularly in the parking lots that have not melted away, so remain vigilant. We appreciate your assistance in keeping all areas clean and safe for everyone within the community.
The relocation of the Housing Office is completed and thus all of our front door services are now located on the ground floor of building 203. Please refer to page 6 for business hours and contact information. Please make sure to schedule an appointment via phone or email if you need housing services.

Corona Test Centers close at the end of the month

Both test centers, at the Alpspitz pool parking lot as well as the container test station at the Richard-Strauss-Platz, will close at the end of February or are already closed.
Pharmacies and General Practitioners will continue to test.
What restrictions still exist?
Bavaria still has the 17th Infection Protection Measures Ordinance. But the restrictions are now very limited.
In doctors' or dentists' offices and outpatient medical facilities such as dialysis facilities and day clinics, FFP2 masks are mandatory for patients and visitors.
- In hospitals, during inpatient rehab, and in facilities for the care of the elderly, disabled, or those in need of long-term care, federal regulations generally require all who enter the facility to wear FFP2 masks. Visitors are allowed to enter these homes if they have completed an unsupervised self-test no more than 24 hours prior. Employees must provide proof of a negative rapid test (self-test) twice a week.
For patients in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen hospital, the following applies: A rapid antigen test is performed upon admission (also as an outpatient). If patients are symptomatic, a negative rapid test is followed by a PCR test. For children and youth, a PCR test is always performed on admission.
