cholera and dysentery. Harare City Council spokesperson Michael Chideme confirmed the theft saying a report has since been made at Warren Park police station under case number RRB Number 4612957. “A report has since been received and investigation is now in progress. A report was made at ZRP Warren Park on January 11, 2021 and no arrests have been made yet,” Chideme said. A well-placed source told Business Times this week that there was massive stripping of water pumping machines by council officials. Given the weight of the rotors, investigators would want to ascertain what could have been used to move all of them from the Warren Park water station. It 

letter to the President’s Office dated January 20, 2021 and seen by Business Times this week. “In previous years it was not being processed and we filed a report with Zimbabwe Republic Police of fraud but to date nothing has taken place, no arrests or report back as to their findings. I believe this was due to the then managers and board members being linked to various influential people in government.” 

High tea demand drives Ariston revenue Listed agro-industrial concern, Ariston Holdings, has reported a two-fold increase in revenue in the first quarter (Q1) to December 31, 2020, largely on the back of uptick in demand for its tea in export and local markets. Company secretary, Rufaro Chinamo, said tea volumes increased to 941 tonnes during the reviewed period from 821 tonnes in prior comparative period due to more favourable weather patterns. This resulted in the company’s top line increasing 98% in the period under review. The group also closed the fourth quarter of 2020 with substantial tea stocks.
