CAMPUS BROCHURE

Dear Prospective Students and Parents, Welcome to Blyth Academy Thornhill. From the moment you enter our doors, you will immediately discover that the environment we have cultivated here is one centred on community—warm, welcoming and engaging. We are a school with a holistic and personal approach to learning. Our team of caring and creative Ontario Certified Teachers are supported by outstanding administrative support from our Campus Administrator Marlene Gold and our Guidance Counsellor Patrick Butler. Here at Blyth Academy, our academic excellence begins with consistent and open communication with parents who we involve as important members of their child’s educational team. In our small classrooms, our focus is on the individual student experience. We consider each student’s interests and work alongside them in order to guide them through the Ontario curriculum, making their learning meaningful, personal and interesting. We are centrally located in the Thornhill Square and only a short distance to Toronto so that students can take advantage of a variety of experiential educational opportunities, making learning come alive. We are committed to developing the whole student by offering a program that supports students not only academically but also by teaching the skills that they need for life beyond the walls of our school. For students who wish to be involved in the greater Blyth Academy community, we encourage participation in cross-campus sporting events, science fair, art show, prom committee, charity events and more. Extra-curricular activities and clubs that run at the Thornhill campus each term are based on student interest. Groups such as student council, yearbook committee, and athletic club run year round. We invite you to visit us and allow us to show you how Blyth Academy Thornhill is different than other schools you’ve been to before. Drop in any time and sit in on one of our classes. I look forward to meeting you and sharing the Blyth experience with you. Warm Regards, Laurie Foley Principal, Blyth Academy Thornhill
