PROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT & CONSULTING Organizational Discovery and Readiness Assessment: Motorola Solutions Learning knows that there are several key success factors including leadership commitment, operational readiness, and culture that organizations must consider when implementing large-scale change such as a rollout of Lean Six Sigma. • Organizational Discovery will help Motorola Solutions and its customers understand the key factors for successful Lean Six Sigma implementation. • The Readiness Assessment process uses key success factors to create a detailed survey and report to help gauge an organization’s readiness for change in each of these key areas. The Readiness Assessment, combined with the Organizational Discovery points out both areas of strength to leverage, and potential problem areas to address to ensure a successful Lean Six Sigma rollout.

Leading Lean Six Sigma Executive Forum: Training is critical in helping Executives understand how to lead Lean Six Sigma implementation, how to manage organizational change, and how to select the right projects. Our customizable Executive Forum is typically two-and-a half to three days long, focusing on three key aspects: • Leading Lean Six Sigma – A simulation provides an overview of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools, and describes the various roles, responsibilities and governance required for a successful

Lean Six Sigma rollout. An order entry simulation is utilized to educate leaders on how to use Six Sigma, Lean, and Design for Six Sigma tools to eliminate defects, reduce cycle time, and re-design a process. • Change Management defines a structured method and provides tools for leaders to consider in managing organizational change. Poor change management is linked to the failure of most continuous improvement efforts. • The Project Selection and Prioritization (a.k.a Jump Start) Workshop is designed to bring executives together on key organizational initiatives, prioritize those initiatives and align the appropriate resources to implement needed changes. This workshop lays the groundwork for continuous improvement (Belt) projects.

Curricula Design, Development and Delivery: Company-wide training will help instill the philosophy of change in the greater organization and assist in the organization’s change management needs. • We can develop a virtual one-hour course which overviews Lean and Six Sigma. The course will help instill the philosophy of continuous improvement and waste elimination. The intent is to deliver this general overview course to your entire organization (some organizations consider this White Belt training). • We can also customize existing content, courseware or curricula, as well as create new for specific organization intent. Design of experiments

• Five-day instructor-led class that teaches advanced statistical tools, from hypothesis testing and comparative methods to traditional full factorial experiments, fractional factorial experiments, screening experiments and optimization.

Monte Carlo simulation

• One-day instructor-led class using the DiscoverSim software, providing hands-on practice creating and using models for schedules, business cases and engineering models, as well as analyzing the results in terms of the distribution of outputs and sensitivity to the inputs. Decision and optimization techniques are introduced and practiced.

Advanced product quality planning

• This class teaches the tools and processes leading up to production part approval. Students learn an integrated approach to new product development and launch.

Process Characterization

• Process Characterization teaches the tools and techniques to properly characterize business or manufacturing processes and their associated variability. The emphasis of this class is on how to become expert in the process in question, and how to use statistical and other methods to identify, reduce, and control variability to ensure stable performance.
