The Whittington Family Reunion he Whittington, Wood, and McGehee Family Reunion took place in Natchez, Mississippi, June 6 through 8, with family members and connections coming from many parts of the country, including New York, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, Alabama, Washington D. C., Nevada, Louisiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Florida, and Texas, as well as from all over Mississippi. Events began on Friday evening with a Cochon de Lait at the home of Rena Jean Whittington Schmieg. The events continued on Saturday with lunch on the bluff. Dub Rogers of Steampunk Coffee Roasters brought his party wagon to the Grand Hotel and provided tacos with gourmet trimmings, tea, lemonade, craft beer, and chocolate muffins while the reunion members enjoyed getting to visit with one another. Saturday evening was celebrated with a party at Dunleith with piano music provided by Dickie Butler as everyone enjoyed the fabulous presentation of food in stations throughout the home while visiting together. After church on Sunday, the final gathering of the reunion was for a delicious buffet lunch served at the Carriage House. Photos by Bill Perkins
