June 18th-22nd
Welcome to our 120th Old Settlers’ Days Festival! It is an honor to see our community come together once again to celebrate this cherished tradition. Your presence here today is a testament to the enduring spirit and camaraderie that defines Whitley County. From the kickoff of the antique tractor drive to the lively grant finale of the American Legion parade and diverse entertainment, we have something for everyone to enjoy.
This year’s festival is particularly special as we continue to honor our rich history while embracing our future. Our dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure a memorable experience for all, with activities that celebrate our heritage and create new memories for generations to come. We continue to offer a variety of events, such as the annual tradition of free nightly music, fun festival rides, and carnival food! We are excited to bring new and returning events to the festival each year, including the Pickleball tournament, roller skating night, remote control car racing, the Cornhole tournament, kiddie parade, hot air balloon glow night, kiddie tractor pull and new this year the He man pull. Be sure to check our schedule for times and locations for all our fun events. These reflect the vibrant tapestries of our community and we thank those who have given their time and talents to organize them.
Thank you for being a part of this year’s festivities! Your participation and support not only make this event possible, but also help us give back to the community through donations and grants. It is through your generosity that we can maintain and improve this beloved festival each year. We are also immensely grateful to our local municipalities for their unwavering support in organizing and facilitating this event! Your assistance has been invaluable.
Additionally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many sponsors who have jumped in to support this year’s Festival financially. Your contributions have been instrumental in making this year’s event a success, enabling us to offer a wide range of activities and attractions for all ages! Your commitment to our community is truly appreciated, and we thank you for your generosity and support.
As this year’s president, I am deeply honored to serve in this role. The dedication of those serving along with me, as past and present presidents, striving to preserve our traditions while fostering community spirit, is inspiring. It has been a privilege to lead and work alongside so many passionate individuals, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together. Let’s make this year’s Old Settlers’ Days a memorable one!

Old Settlers’ Days has been a Whitley County institution since 1904 when the first reunion of the pioneers was held at Loon Lake. It is committed to providing quality entertainment and activities for the entire community to enjoy!
The Old Settlers’ Days Committee works hard to put together an amazing festival each year. Yet, some of the other work it does leaves a more lasting impact. Through the money raised each year, they are able to donate a considerable amount. This totals nearly a million dollars back to the community!
Old Settlers’ Days honors the residents and history of Whitley County through traditions such as the Honorary Resident Awards and American Legion Parade.
New this year, we will be honoring the Youngest Settler, any Festival-goer under the age of 18 who can legibly sign their name is eligible!
Be a part of Old Settlers’ Day history by visiting the Whitley County Historical Museum, Thursday, June 20th, from 10:002:00 to record your attendance of the Festival! It only takes a few minutes, but you may run into old friends and want to stay awhile and reminisce!
We look forward to continuing the traditions year after year! Join us next summer, June 17th - 21st, 2025.
