Characters of Pizza Tower

Pizza Tower sets out on an epic mission without realizing it. They've got their game face on and are ready to impress you with their latest masterpiece. Pizza Tower, inspired by the iconic Wario Land video game franchise, is bringing things to the next level with its own fiery twist. Meet Peppino Spaghetti, the unexpectedly nimble and muscular Italian with receding hairline.

The main character, Peppino, is capable of walking, running, jumping, rolling, and sliding. His attacks consist of a body smash, grabbing and throwing adversaries, and blocking. If Peppino runs long enough, he enters a dash, allowing him to run over walls and plow past adversaries and obstacles. Defeating foes launches a sevensecond combo; to keep it going, the player must beat more monsters and gather items. Some pizza tower levels have power-ups that modify Peppino's powers, such as firearms or knight armor, as well as Gustavo, an alternate player character who rides on the back of his massive pet rat. Peppino's palette-swapping clothes are gained by completing challenges and milestones.

Each level contains a variety of secrets, including pizza-topped creatures that the player must rescue to unleash boss encounters, prizes hidden behind doors that can only be unlocked by a gatekeeper that the player must locate, and three hidden areas that yield points. Most levels end with the player encountering a pillar that must be destroyed. This initiates "Pizza Time," a stage in which the player must return to the level's entrance within a certain time frame to avoid being captured by Pizzaface. If the player fails, they must start the level over. A portal allows the player to execute an optional second round in which they return to the finish line and must return to the entrance once more to get bonus points. After finishing each level, the player receives points based on their score and performance. The highest level, P, can only be attained if the player scores enough points, discovers three mysteries, collects prizes, and finishes the second round with a single, uninterrupted combination.
