The roup then moved on to thinkin about who helps them with creative activities, by decoratin pe dolls. The final consultation activity involved decoratin their arts venue. Everythin they created was added to ‘The Island o Creativity’. To finish the day off, children made paper kites and/or clay creatures to take home with them. The plan had been to fly the kites on the beach, but the rain arrived just be ore home time.
Artist Elena Miller acilitated the day with seven children a ed 5 - 10, alon with their carers. Elena led the day usin the concept o ‘The Island o Creativity.’

What happened?
A ter some active warm-ups, which included discussions around what they thou ht creativity was, the children created paper boats. They wrote down creative thin s they had done inside and outside o school on their boats. This was ollowed by creatin their own jar o sand. Each colour represented a different activity they would like to try.
