In June of 2020, shortly after the senseless murder of George Floyd, we saw a desperate need for safe spaces, to have healing conversations, and to elevate our voices in art, business, culture, and community. We believe we can support each other and build resiliency through life-saving programs, community healing, and making connections as a conduit.
Values
The Black Resiliency Project exists because silence is not an option when it comes to equity. We are creating safe spaces, experiences and services for our community. We value authentic connection, where our stories are honored. We value community leadership, believing that healing happens when the people most impacted are the ones guiding the way.
Goals
To strengthen and sustain marginalized wellness, leadership, and economic mobility. Building community-led systems of healing, education, and opportunity. Provide programs that address trauma, promote recovery, and empower youth and families. Create equitable access to resources, uplift Black voices, and build spaces of connection and belonging that inspire purpose.
