MEN’S CHRISTIAN GOLF LEAGUE 2014
SPECIAL NOTICE:
We are going to designate one winner for each division for the closest to the pin prize each week. This week, we play the back and Hole #12 will be for the B Division and Hole #16 will be for A Division. If we fail to have any winner for either division then we will designate a sleeve of balls to someone that has not won CTP this season. Good luck to all.

TEAM #B3 DENNY OBENAUER & KEN KELCHNER INCREASE THEIR LEAD OVER 2ND PLACE TEAM #B5 GARY CARR & DENNIS KOEHN BY 25 POINTS AS POSITION ROUND #2 TAKES PLACE TONIGHT FOR THE B FLIGHT TEAMS !! Team #B7:Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: Ernie was unable to make last weeks round and his bank round of (55) was used against his opponent. Steve Fleck continues to improve his game and comes into the clubhouse with a very nice round of (52). The first three holes hurt his round as he posted a quad followed by back to back doubles. He nailed a par on the first par three with a very nice putt. Hole number 6 cost him a double and hole number 8 added a triple. He managed bogeys on #7 and #9. Nice round Steve. Steve finished with (1) par. Team #B8: Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: Bill continues to struggle to get back into the lower 40’s rounds as his last
four rounds have been in the upper half of the 40’s.Bill started with a double on the #1 handicap hole on the front. After nailing a very nice par on the first par 5, Bill stumbled again posting a triple on the par 4, hole #3. Bill then seemed to get back into a groove, nailing pars on the first par 3, #4 and the 2nd par 5 to get his round back together. Hole number 6 gave him fits as he posted his second triple. A bogey on 7 was followed by a very nice par on #8. The final hole bit him for a double. Still an nice round Bill. Bill finished with (4) pars. Nice effort Bill. Ron slipped a bit in his round last week, coming in two strokes worse than the previous week, posting a 65. His first three holes cost him 9 strokes, with a quad,
triple and double. He nailed a par on the 1st par three but then got stung on the second par 5. He added 6 strokes over the hole par. It didn’t get much easier on the #2 handicap hole as Ron added (5) more stokes to his card over the hole par. He finished with a quad on #7 followed by a double on 8 and triple on 9. A valiant effort by Ron. Ron did finish with (1) par. Good try Ron. Team #B1: Erv Rock & Jim Loughead: Jim posted one of his best rounds in week 8, coming in with a very nice 48. Jim started with a triple but nailed a par on the 2nd hole with some nice shooting. A double on #3 was followed by a very nice birdie on the first par 3. Continued below
KEN KELCHNER LEADS THE B FLIGHT PLAYERS INTO THE WATERING HOLE WITH A VERY NICE (41). BILL MARSACK COMES IN WITH THE NEXT BEST ROUND POSTING A (47). THREE PLAYERS POST ROUNDS OF 48 - BILLY ALESSANDRINI ~ JIM LOUGHEAD~ MATT ZUBER ~ TIM WEIGEL COMES IN WITH A 49 ~ GOOD JOB BY ALL!! He added back to back doubles on 5 & 6. He finished with bogeys on 7 & 8 and final double on #9 for a very nice round. Jim nailed (1) par and (1) birdie in a good round. Erv dropped off one stroke in last weeks round. The opening two holes hurt him badly, adding 7 strokes to his score. A bogey on #4 was followed by a couple of disaster holes. He added 10 more strokes to his scorecard on #5 & 6. After a couple of doubles posted on 7 & 8, Erv got into more trouble on his final hole. Erv took an extra six shots to get that little white ball into the cup on #9 green. It was a valiant effort by Erv who
continues to try and get his rounds down into the upper 50’s. Good try Erv.
