TEAM #A4 (DERITA & DERITA) GO UP A FEW MORE POINTS OVER 2ND PLACE (#A6 HOOD & TURNER) BUT NOW TEAM #A9 (CYMBALSKI-CYMBALSKI) HAVE CLIMBED INTO 3RD –ONLY TWO POINTS OUT OF 2ND PLACE-NICE JOB BRENT & KEN !!!

Team #A6: Warren Hood & Jim Turner: Warren came into the watering hole with the 2nd best round of the night with some very nice playing shooting a 39.

You knew after he birdied the first hole on the back, #10, that he was in tune with the course. After a par on #11, Warren put back to back bogeys on the card. A par on the second tough hole, #14 was followed by a bogey on #15. His second birdie of the round as posted at #16. The final two holes finished off his round as he posted a double on 17

& bogey on 18. Warren finished with (2) pars and (2) birdies. Great round Pastor Hood. Jim continues to stay near the mid to lower 40’s as he comes into the clubhouse with a 45. The opening double got his round off to a rough start. After nailing a par on #11 his next four holes cost him some extra strokes. Three bogeys posted on 12, 13 & 15 with a double on the card on #14. Jim notched one more par on #16 before finishing with a bogey on #17 and double on 18. Jim notched (2) pars. Good try Jim. They remain in 2nd place.

Team #A7: Bill Gaunt & Steve Ciaramitaro: Bill Gaunt had some major issues on his first three holes posting 9 extra strokes, but he did manage to recover and post a decent round of 43. He opened with a triple on 10, quad on 11 and double on the first par three, hole #12 before getting into a good rhythm with some very nice play. He started the comeback with a par on #13 followed by a birdie on the tough #14 hole.

He continued on the par run, finishing his round with 4 straight pars on

#15, #16, #17 & #18 for a great finish to a round that had disaster written all of over it. Bill notched (5) pars and (1) birdie. Very nice come back Bill. Steve came in with a 62, unable to get anything going in his round. The opening 5 extra strokes followed by a double on #11started his troubles. A bogey seemed welcomed on #12 but the next two cost him 9 extra strokes on his score. He took a bogey on #15 but the final three holes did the balance of the damage. A double, triple and quad were posted on the card.

#A9 BRENT CYMBALSKI & #A2 ANDRE VIGER LED THE A FLIGHT GOLFERS INTO THE CLUBHOUSE WITH THE LOW ROUNDS OF THE NIGHT WITH 38’S ~ PLAYER #A6 - PASTOR HOOD NOTCHES A 39 ~ GREAT ROUNDS BY ALL!!

Team #A8: Doug Busam & Nate Hood: Doug started out decently posting a par on #10 followed by bogeys on 11, 12 & 13. His round was still intact until four of the next 5 holes cost him a bunch of extra shots. A double on #14 was followed by a quad on #15. He made

bogey on #16 and then the bottom dropped out again.

He finished on #17 with a triple and followed the par 5 -18th with his second triple in a row. Doug comes in with a disappointing 51, posting on (1) par. Good effort Doug. Nate was absent last week but matched the score from week 5,

posting a 52. Back to back triples got his round off to a very poor start. He seemed to recover a bit, posting back to back bogeys. He found a third triple on #14 and again seemed to get back on track.

Again, he found back to back bogeys on 15 &

16. The final two doubles did the rest of the damage as he took doubles on both holes. A valiant effort Nate.

Team #A9: Brent Cymbalski & Ken Cymbalski: Both players played well in week 7 as Brent shared top honors for the best round posted and his father knocked off 4 strokes from last weeks round. Brent started slow, notching back to back bogeys before getting into a very comfortable groove. He notched back to back pars on 12 & 13. A bogey on #14 was again followed by back to back pars. The final bogey on #17 was offset by a birdie on #18. Brent comes in with a 39, posting (4) pars and (1) birdie. Great shooting Brent.

His father Ken also finished with a round in the 40’s, coming in with a 49. He had three tough holes in his round, opening the first one with a double. He then

strung together bogeys on 11, 12 & 13 before getting clipped by a quad on #14. He made bogey on 15 and nailed a very nice par on #16. The final two holes cost him a better round as he finished with back to back doubles. Still it was a very nice improvement for Ken, posting (1) par.

Team #A1: Stan Dreslinski & Ray Ressler: Stan seemed to get some of his game back in week 7, coming in with a 43. Stan started his round with a double on #10 with a nice par on #11. Back to back bogeys led to his second double, posted on #14. Stan then nailed back to back pars on #15 & 16. He finished his round with bogeys on 17 & 18. Stan finished with (3) pars in a decent round. Good shooting Stan. Ray had all kinds of trouble in a disappointing round in week 7. It was night and day in his rounds from

last week as Ray comes into the 19th hole with a 45, just a bit over his average. Ray started his round with bogeys on the first three holes to at least start out somewhat decently. He got hurt with back to back doubles on #13 & #14 with the help of a couple of water shots, one on each hole. He posted a par on 15 before making back to back bogeys on 16 & 17.

He at least finished on a positive note, nailing a par on #18. Ray finished with (2) pars. Good try Ray. Team #A2: Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe: Andre shared top honors for the best round of the week with Brent Cymbalski coming in with a 38. Andre started out ok, nailing a par on the tough first hole. The double he posted on #11 hurt, but he quickly made up ground with a par on #12 followed

by a birdie on #13. Hole number 14 yielded a bogey but again, Andre got back into the groove posting a par on #15 with a birdie on #16 to remove one of the extra strokes. He parred the #1 handicap hole on the back, hole #17 before getting stung by a double on #18. Andre finished with (4) par and (2) birdies in a very nice round.

Good shooting Andre. Ken fell off a bit in week 7, coming in with a 43. A bogey on #10 did not hurt as much as the triple on #11. After a much needed par on #12, Ken posted back to back bogeys on 13 & 14.Ken put back to back pars together before finishing with back to back bogeys on 17 & 18.

Ken finished with (3) pars.

Good shooting Ken. Team #A3:Wayne Davidson & Rusty Ellison: Wayne got off to a slow start,

posting a triple on #10. He put a bogey on #12 between pars on 11 & 13. Wayne then took a quad on #14 that really took his round down.

He played better on the next three holes, posting a par on 15, bogey on 16, birdie on the #1 handicap hole #17. Wayne falter a bit on #18, posting a final double. Wayne comes in with a 45, posting (3) pars and (1) birdie. Good try Wayne.

Rusty came in with a 44, knocking off 2 strokes from last week. Rusty opened with a double on #10 but then put together back to back pars. Back to back doubles on 13 & 14 hurt his round with 4 extra strokes. He posted one more par on #16 with bogeys on 15, 17 & 18.

Rusty notched (3) pars. Good round Rusty.

Team #A4: Brian DeRita & Dom DeRita: Dom was on vacation and his bank round of 43 was used against his opponent. Brian also had his fair share of problems in his round but still finished with a decent round of 42. Brian was on a bogey

train for the first 5 holes before stopping the run with a birdie on #15. He finished his round with bogey on the final three holes.

Brian finished with (1) birdie.

Team #A5: Pat Nellis & Cory Routheaux: We heard late that Pat’s girlfriend was involved in an auto accident, but the Lord had his hand on her as she escaped with minor bruises. Pat had to leave and a bank round of 39 was used.

Cory had a rough start posting a double on 10 and quad on 11. He nailed a par on #12 and followed with a bogey on #13. Four out of the next five holes (14, 15 , 17 & 18) cost Cory 8 extra strokes to his round. He did manage a par on #16 for a little bright spot on his round. Cory made (2) pars in his round. Cory finished with a 50 as he still continues to struggle to bring down his rounds to the mid to lower 40’s. Good try Cory.

TEAM #B3 (DENNY & KEN) ADD A FEW MORE POINTS ON THEIR LEAD OVER TEAM #B5 (GARY & DENNIS) WITH THE SECOND POSITION ROUND ENDING THE FIRST HALF TAKING PLACE THIS WEEK!! TWO OTHER TEAMS MOVE UP INTO CONTENTION ~#B6 (LARRY & NORM) & #B8 (BILL& RON)!! NICE JOB ALL Team #B6: Larry Ball & Norm Giraud: Larry did report a praise report that his eye is doing a bit better, but his round is not. He struggled some as he had received his last treatment and his eye was a bit fuzzy. He came in with a 62 last week struggling on much of his round. His first three holes cost him 10 extra strokes, posting a double, triple and then 5 more on #12. A bogey on #13 was followed by bacon strips on #14 and a triple on #15. Larry had a par on #16 but then got bit by a quad on #17 and a final double on 18. Larry notched (1) par. Good try Larry. Partner Norm slipped some last round, posting a round of 65, after several weeks in the 50’s. The opening two holes cost Norm 11 extra strokes right off the bat. After a double on #12, Norm got clipped by a quad on #13 and took 5 extra shots on #14. He made back to back bogeys before

finishing with a quad on 17 and double on 18. A valiant effort Norm.

Team #B7: Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: Ernie dropped off a stroke from his last round, coming in with a 54 in week 7. After the opening triple on #10, Ernie posted a bogey on 11 and double on 12. The next two holes sunk his round as he posted a triple on 13 followed by 5 extra strokes on #14. Ernie seemed to settle down posting a par on #15 followed by back to back bogeys. The final hole cost him a final triple. Ernie notched (1) par. I am not sure where Steve was at when he came to the golf course, but it certainly wasn’t at Golden Hawk.

Steve came in with a 70 in his round. Bacon strips started his round on the wrong side which was followed by a triple. Steve posted bogeys on both par

three’s, hole #12 & hole #16. Steve added 16 extra shots on holes 13, 14 & 15. He finished with a triple on 17 and quad on 18. Good try Steve.

Team #8: Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: Bill went up two strokes posting a 47 and Ron came down 4 strokes from last weeks round. Bill started with a bogey and added a double on #11. A bogey on the first par three was followed by a par on #13. Bill got bit by a triple on #14 but recovered some posting a par on 15. It was back to back doubles on 16 & 17 before finishing with a bogey on the par 5 eighteenth. Bill finished with (2) pars in a soso round. Good try Bill. Ron got off to a very poor start taking 6 extra shots on #10. He posted triples on 11 & 12 and added a double on #13. Hole number 14 got him for 5 extra strokes. Ron put together a bogey on 15 and par on #16 before back to back quads closed out his round. Ron finished with (1) par.

Ron finished with a 63. Good try Ron.

#B5 DENNIS KOEHN LEADS THE B FLIGHT GOLFERS INTO THE 19TH HOLE WITH A VERY NICE 5 OVER ROUND OF 40 ~ #B4 MARK DIXON POSTS HIS BEST ROUND WITH A 46 AND #B8 BILL MARSACK COMES IN RIGHT BEHIND WITH A 47!! GOOD ROUNDS! Team #1: Jim Loughead & Erv Rock: Both player struggled in their rounds last week. Jims card was filled with two triples posted on 10 & 13 with a quad on 12 and double on 11. The double water hole #14 bit into his round with 6 extra shots. After a final triple on #15, Jim finished with doubles on the final three holes and a round of 62. Good try Jim. Erv took 5 extra shots to start out his round before posting back to back doubles on 11 & 12. The triple on 13 was followed with 6 extra shots on

#14, just like his partner did. Erv finished with a double on 15, triple on 16 and back to back quads on 17 & 18. Good try Erv.

Mystery Winner: Week #7

PRAYER REQUESTS: Pat Ressler for continued recovery from heart procedures Michelle Andre’s Daughter-Monique for some positive results on her upcoming procedure.

Erv Rock shot a 66 which was the round drawn to win the pot.

Team #B2: Matt Zuber & Tim Weigel: Tim went down in score and Matt went up.

Matt took an opening quad on #10 and settled down some, posting a bogey on #11 and par on #12 enroute to his round of 51. Hole thirteen tuned into a rough hole for him as he posted a triple on the card. Matt posted bogeys on three of the next four holes. The 16th hole bit him for a triple. Matt finished with a double on #18. Matt notched (1) par. Good effort Matt. Tim shaved off 6 strokes from last week coming in with a 57. After an opening bogey, Tim posted doubles on his next three holes taking him to the double water hole #14. The next two holes cost him 9 extra strokes that hurt his round the most. Tim finished with a double on 16 and added a

triple on #17. He did fare a bit better with a bogey on the long par 5, 18th hole. Good effort Tim. Team #B3: Denny Obenauer & Ken Kelchner: For the second week in a row Denny comes into the 19th hole with a 52, still trying to get back into the 40’s. Denny had some triple trouble to start his round on hole #10. Denny’s round was riddled with doubles, posted on 11, 13, 14 15, 16 and a final double on 17. Denny managed a bogey on the par 5-18th hole. Good try Denny. Partner Ken play better this week, knocking off 3 strokes from last week coming in with a 46. Ken opened with a bogey and took a double on #11. A nice par was made on #12 and Ken added another bogey on 13. After 14 stung him for a double, Ken played bogey golf on 15, 16 & 17. His final hole clipped him for a double. Ken notched (1) par. Good round Ken.

Team #B4: Billy Alessandrini & Mark Dixon: Billy stumbled some, going back into the 50’s with a round of 50 last week. The first holed really took the starch out of his round with an opening quad. A par on #11 was followed by a double on 12. One more bogey on 13 and one more par on #15 before Billy finished his round with doubles on 14, 16, 17 & 18.

Billy notched (2) pars. Nice effort Billy. Mark posted his best round of the season coming in with a 46 for the second best round in the B flight players. Mark opened with back to back bogeys and filled in the card with back to back pars on 112 & 13. Mark made a double on 14 and triple on 15 before getting back on track to help his round. Back to back bogeys on the final two holes to finish on a better note. Mark notched (2) pars in a very nice round. Way to go Mark.

Team #B5: Dennis Koehn & Gary Carr: For the second time this season, Dennis comes into the clubhouse with his second 40 round of the season to lead all the B flight players. Dennis started slow with a bogey on 10 and double on 11. Then he got into a golfers great rhythm, posting pars on his next 3 holes. He stuck in a birdie on #15 and nailed a par on #16.

He took a triple on #17 but finished with a solid par on #18. Dennis notched (5) pars and (1) birdie. Very nice shooting Dennis. Gary actually shave another stroke off his round for the third week in a row. Gary comes in with

a 53 in last weeks round. Gary had a pretty decent start as he notched bogeys on the first three holes. Then all of a sudden, he seemed to lose his decent rhythm and the numbers went up on the card. A double on #13 was followed by a quad on #14. Gary finished his final four holes with (3) doubles and a triple on #17. Very nice try and effort Gary. Keep up the good work to get your scores down.

Doug Busam and Nate Hood are working on getting us a venue for our golf league outing which at this time is tentatively going to be held around the 27th of September or possibly the 4th of October. I will keep everyone posted on a final date and the course that we will play at in the coming weeks.
