TEAM #A4 CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN A SIZEABLE LEAD EVEN AFTER ONLY TAKING 27 POINTS IN WEEK 5!! TEAM #A1 STAN & RAY MOVE INTO 2ND PLACE Team #A4: Brian DeRita (43) & Dominic DeRita (43): Brian seemed to be off a bit in week 5 posting a 43 round playing bogey golf most of his round. Brian could not post a par until he was four holes into his round, then posting consecutive pars on hole #13 & #14. He finished his round with 3 more bogeys and a double on the 2nd par three. Brian finishes with (2) pars. Partner Dominic was sailing along in his round as he started hot. He nailed pars on his first four holes. After a disappointing double on #14, Dom notched a birdie on #15. He bogeyed the 2nd par three and then his round went south. He posted back to back triples on his final two holes to turn a very nice round into a ho hum round matching his father with a 43. Dom notched (4) pars and (1) birdie. Nice effort by both players who still took the majority of the points in their match. Team #A5: Pat Nellis (39) & Cory Routheaux (49): Pat played a bit more at his potential coming in with the top honors for the best round posted, a 4 over 39. Pat started with back to back bogeys and nailed a par on #12 followed by a solid birdie on #13.Three more bogeys before Pat finished with a pars on the final two holes for a solid finish to a very nice round. Cory slipped a bit from last weeks 45, coming into the 19th hole with a 49.The opening hole started his downfall as he took a quad on the hole. He bogeyed his way through the next two holes before struggling with a double bogey on hole #13. Three more bogeys appeared on his card before he got stung with a double on #17. Cory finished with a bogey on the par 5 ~ 18th hole. Good effort by Cory and very nice shooting by Patrick. Team #A6: Pastor Warren Hood (Bk Round 46) & Pastor Jim Turner (Bk Round 47): Both players were unable to play the match in week 5 so bank rounds from 05/29/2014 were used to match up against their opponents. Pastor Hood (46)

Pastor Turner (47). Team #A7: Bill Gaunt (47) & Steve Ciaramitaro (55): Bill continues to struggle to find his game as he comes into the clubhouse with a 47 in week 5. Bill got off to a rough start posting an opening triple on hole #10. He turned things around, notching back to back pars on 11 & 12. He then squeezed in a par between doubles on 13 & 15. After a final bogey, Bill finished on a sour note posting back to back doubles on 17 & 18. Bill notched (3) pars in his round. The first two holes in Steve’s round cost him 7 extra strokes to his round. Steve nailed his first of two pars on the 12th hole. A bogey on 13 was followed by a triple on the double water hole, #14. Steve made a bogey on #15 and nailed his second par on #16. Disaster struck on the final two holes as not to much went right for him on the holes. Hole #17 added 5 strokes and hole #18 added 3 more over the hole pars. Steve finished with a 55, posting (2) pars in his round. Nice effort by both players. Chipping is much like putting but it requires loft - or flight in the air - and is used to get over something. Remember, you chip to get over things, like a sand trap, water, or rough.

Team #A8: Doug Busam (44) & Nate Hood (52): Doug finally got his round down where he belongs, coming in with a nice round of 44. After a triple on #10, Doug nailed pars on #11 & 12. He made back to back bogeys on 13 & 14 and then got bit by a double on #15. Doug finished with bogeys on 16 & 17, posting a solid par on #18. Doug finished with (3) pars in a decent round. Nate also found an opening triple on hole #10, but then played bogey golf for the next three holes. The double water hole, #14 added 5 extra strokes to his round. A bogey on 15 was followed by a double on 16. One more bogey on the card before getting stung by a final triple on #18 did the balance of the damage. Good try by Nate and nice shooting by Doug.
