POSITION RO UND #1 IN THE ‘B’ FLIGHT H AS TE AM #5 G ARY & DENNI S PL AYING AG AINST (2ND PL ACE)TE AM #3 DENNY & KEN Team #B3: Denny Obenauer & Ken Kelchner: Both players played decently last week and took a lot of points to stay close to the top team. Ken posted an opening triple and then got on track. Notching pars on holes #2, 4, 7 and 9. He found his only other bad hole on #8 that cost him a double.

Ken finished with a 44 with (4) pars in his round. Denny has been vying to break 50 and in week five it was a charm. Denny comes in with a 49 for the first time in the 2014 season. Denny had a few triple troubled holes, one on #1 and the other on the long par 4, #6. Denny notched (2) pars on #7 & #9.

Denny also posted a couple of doubles that held him back from a better round.

Nice job to both.

Team #B4:Billy Alesssandrini & Mark Dixon: Mark was absent and a bank round of (53) was used to post against his opponent in week 4. Billy came into the clubhouse with a 53, adding three more than last week. The first two holes did some massive damage to his round as he posted a triple followed by a quad. He got on a bogey train for three holes before #6 clipped him for his second triple. He posted two more bogeys before finishing with a double on #9. Good try Billy.

Team #B5: Dennis came in with a 46, six strokes off last weeks great round of 40, but took a lot of points to help he and Gary increase their lead over 2nd place.

Dennis got bit by 5 extra strokes over the hole par on #1. He seemed to get back into a groove, notching a par on #2 before #3 clipped him for a double. After a

Gary posted his best round of the season so far coming in with a 52 in last weeks league play. Gary put his bogey on the first par 5 between back to back doubles. After a bogey on #4, Gary took a double on the 2nd par 5. Hole number six is the worst culprit as it cost him a quad that cost him a round in the 40’s. After a couple of more bogeys, Gary finished with a double on #9. Good effort Gary and nice round Dennis.

Team #6: Larry Ball & Norm Giraud: Larry seems to be going up in strokes and Norm is bring down his scores each week.

Larry had a horrific opening to his round posting three triples and a quad in his first four holes. This pretty much did the damage that he had a hard time recovering from. He posted bogeys on the first par 5 and final par four. Larry added a couple of doubles and a final score of 57. Norm Giraud continues continued bottom left column

OH MY!! BRIAN & DOMINIC INCREASE THEIR LEAD TO 44 POINTS OVER 2ND PLACE WARREN & JIM !!

Team#A3: Wayne Davidson & Rusty Ellison: Wayne was out of town for week 4 and a bank round of 49 was posted against his opponent. Meanwhile, his partner Rusty has made good use of the practice range and a round of 39 shows that practice does work. Rusty shared top honors with two others for the best posted round in the A Flight. Rusty had a stellar round. His worst holes were bogeys, nothing more. He opened with a bogey and proceeded to par the next two holes. Another bogey and then back to back pars continued to help his round. He finished with a bogey on the 2nd

par three and back to back pars on 8 & 9. Great round Rusty. Rusty finished his 39 with (6) pars.

Dominic also played decently coming in with a 43. The opening hole cost Dom a much better round as he posted an opening quad. He bogeyed his way through the next two holes before breaking the bogey run with a par on the 1st par three. After the bogey on #5, Dom got his game back. He notched

Team #A4: Brian DeRita & Dominic DeRita: Brian & Dom had the bye this week and both players shot pretty well. Brian shared top honors for the best round of the week with Rusty & Andre shooting a 39. Brian opened with a bogey and parred the first par 5, hole #2. Hole number 3 removed the first extra stroke as Brian nailed a birdie. Brian bogeyed the first par three and followed with a par on the 2nd par 5.

After a bogey on #6, Brian nailed a birdie on #7. He finished with back to back bogeys.

Team #A5: Pat Nellis & Cory Routheaux: Pat’s rounds are going up and Cory’s rounds are coming down. Pat opened with a double on #1 but made par on the first par 5. He then made back to back bogeys before nailing his second

par on the 2nd par 5. He notched a double on #6, parred #7 and finished with back to back bogeys for his 44. Pat notched (3) pars in his round. Cory played bogey golf for the first 6 holes. He then got stung by a double on the 2nd par three. He finished with a bogey on 8 and a solid par on #9. Cory finished with (1) par in his round of 45. Nice round Cory and good try Pat. Team #A6: Pastor Warren Hood & Pastor Jim Turner: Pastor Hood must be working on getting his handicap up some after a ok round the previous week, as he comes in with a 55, 9 strokes worse than the previous round.

Warren opened with a quad followed with a par and then posted 6 strokes over the hole par on #3.

He parred #3 and followed with a bogey on #5. The next two holes sunk his

round as he posted a triple on 6 and a a quad on 7.

He finished on a better note, posting a par on #8 and bogey on 9. Pastor Jim has steadily brought down his scores. He knocked off 5 strokes from the previous week coming in with a 42. After an opening triple, Jim nailed a birdie on #2, and parred his way to the 2nd par 5.

There he proceeded to make a double. He nailed a par on tough 6th hole but missed a par putt on #7.

Pastor Jim parred #8 and finished with a bogey on #9. Pastor Turner finished with (4) pars and (1) birdie in a very nice round. Good try by Pastor Hood.

MEN’S CHRISTIAN GOLF LEAGUE 2014 Volume 16 Issue 5 Team #A7: Bill Gaunt & Steve Ciaramitaro: Both players were unable to make the round for last week and bank rounds were used to calculate against their opponents.

Bill had a bank round of 45 and Steve had a bank round of 59.

Team #A8: Doug Busam & Nate Hood: Doug put together a decent round and Nate had more problems than carter had liver pills. Doug started with a bogey but followed with a double on the first par 5.

Doug nailed back to back to back pars on 3, 4 & 5.

The hard #6 hole took his round down as he posted a double par score. He finished on a better note, with a bogeys on 7 & 8 and a par on #9. Partner Nate had three tough holes to start his round. A quad on #1 was followed

A couple of bogeys on 4 & 5 were followed by a double on #6. Nate notched his only par on #7 and finished with a quad on #8 and bogey on 9 for a round of 53. The only positive from the round is that he play against his father and won the match. Good shooting Doug, nice try Nate.

Ray started with a double and bogeyed the first par 5. After a par on #3 Ray followed with a bogey on the first par three. He nailed his final par of the round on the 2nd par 5.

Ray finished with bogeys on 6, 7 & 8 and finished with a solid par on #9.

Ray finished with (2) pars and a birdie. Nice effort by Stan and good shooting

by Ray.

Team #9 Brent Cymbalski & Ken Cymbalski: Brent opened with a bogey but removed the extra stroke with a birdie on #2. After making bogey o n #3, Brent got hot nailing pars on his next three holes.

The final three holes cost him dearly. He posted a double on the par three and followed with a triple on #8.He finished with a double on #9 for a final score of 44. Brent

Team #1: Stan Dreslinski & Ray Ressler: Stan started out on the rough side posting back to back doubles. He nailed pars on his next three holes taking him to the par 4, 6th hole where he came away with a bogey. He notched a par on #7 and then his round went south. He posted a double quad on 8 and a triple on 9.

Stan finished with (4) pars and a round of 48. Ray had a much better round this week coming in with a 42.

Team #A2: Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe: Both players played excellent in week 4, Andre edging out Ken by a stroke after 9 holes posting a 39. Andre opened his round with a very nice start. He nailed pars on the 1st, 2nd and 4th holes sticking in a birdie in #3. Playing at 1 under at this point until he met the second par 5.
