TEAM #4 IN THE ’A’ FLIGHT ~ BRIAN & DOMINIC ~ TAKE 41 POINTS TO EMERGE ON TOP TO START THE 2014 SEASON WITH TEAM #3 WAYNE & RUSTY COMING IN 5 POINTS BEHIND THEM IN 2ND PLACE! Team #A1 ~ Stan Dreslinski & Ray Ressler: Stan played well posting (4) pars in his round of 42.

Stan had bogeys on 4 holes to go with a double on the final hole of his round. Ray on the other hand could not get anything going. Ray finished with (2) pars and a birdie that he made on hole #7. Ray posted 4 doubles in a disappointing round of 46 in week 2. Good effort by both players.

Team #A2 ~ Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe: Ken led all golfers into the 19th hole with a very nice 2 over par round of 38. After an opening bogey, Ken notched a par and a birdie to get back to even.

His bad hole came on #6 as he got

stung by a double. Ken finished solidly with pars on the final three holes.

Partner Andre had his problems in week 2 as he posted bogeys on the first three holes of his round finishing at 43. After a par on #4, Andre posted back to back doubles that included a T C Chen helping to beat up his round. Andre finished with 2 pars to go with 5 bogeys.

Team #A3: ~ Wayne Davidson & Rusty Ellison: Wayne started out the season with a decent round of 42. Wayne was able to notch (3) pars to go with 6 bogeys . Partner Rusty dialed in a par on the #1 handicap hole on the front. He notched a double on the first par 5 and made another par on #4. His

round went south on four holes as he posted a (3) doubles and a triple to finish with a 49.

Team #A4 ~ Brian DeRita & Dominic DeRita: This was Brian worse round in a long time. Brian started with bogeys on the first three holes. He notched a par on #4 and then the bottom dropped out from under him. Brian posted back to back doubles on 5 & 6. He would had two pars and a continued on page 2

SEVERAL NICE ROUNDS WERE POSTED IN SOME NOT SO NICE WEATHER AND A VERY WET COURSE IN WEEK 2 Ken Huyghe led all golfers into the clubhouse with a 2 over round of 38. He was followed by Pat Nellis with a 3 over par 39. Honorable mention goes to Wayne Davidson & Stan Dreslinski who posted

well in the opening rounds of 42. Matt Zuber & Andre Viger notched rounds of week of the season.

Nice shooting guys.

43 Dominic DeRita & Brent Cymbalski round out the top rounds of the night with rounds of 44. The conditions were not the best by these players played

Dom DeRita had a rough start to his round but finished on a strong note. Dom notched a bogey on 1 before get bit by a double on the first par 5. Dom made a great birdie on the first par thee and then got stung by back to back doubles. Two of the final three holes held pars for Dom in a round of 44.

Team #A5 ~ Pat Nellis & Cory Routheaux: Patrick picks up where he left off last year posting a fine 3 over par 39. Pat was on pace to finish better than three notching birdies on both par 5’s.

Team, #A7 ~ Bill Gaunt & Steve Ciaramitaro: Bill Gaunt seem to struggle from the opening tee as he posted a triple on 1 and double on 2. He notched a par on #3 and then the second par 5 made him pay for a few bad shots. With 5 extra strokes on #5 and a couple of more doubles his round was sunk. Bill finished with a 52. Partner Steve had to leave unexpectedly and his handicap score was added Team #A9 ~ Brent Cymbalski & Ken Cymbalski: Brent’s father was out of town last week and will start this week. Brent took and opening triple and then settled down to post a decent round.

Brent nailed pars on #2, #4 & #7.

The balance of the holes was filled in with bogeys. A nice effort

Cory’s first three holes pretty much mark this round a disaster with two triples and a double to start the round. Cory also got beat up on holes #5 & #6 with two more triples. Cory managed a single par in his round of 56.

Good try Cory and nice shooting Pat. Team #A6 ~ Pastor Warren Hood & Pastor Jim Turner: Warren got off to a poor start as he tripled the opening hole. After notching a par on the 1st par 5, Warren took a double and fol to the holes he missed. Steve ended up with a 56 in his round.

Good try by both players in the tough conditions we played in.

Team #A8 ~ Doug Busam & Nate Hood: Doug got 6 holes in before he had to leave due to a previous commitment. We finished his card with the handicap strokes he was to receive. The first hole took a huge chunk out of his round to start posting 5 extra strokes. Doug finished with Pat Ressler (Ray’s Wife) Michelle (Stan’s daughter) Rusty Ellison Ed Tamara (Steve’s wife) Catalflo Family Cole (7 years old with seizures) Don’s father Larry Ball (eye issues)

lowed with a triple on the first par 3. Warren then posted bogeys on 3 of his last 5 holes. He finished with a par on the final hole.

Pastor Turner played bogey golf for the first couple of holes before posting a double on the 3rd hole. 3 of his last 6 holes cost him a better round. In them he took a double, triple and quad to finish with a 52. Good effort by both in week one.

CLOSEST TO THE PIN: HOLE #4

HOLE #7 Ray Ressler Nice shots !! a 52. Nate finished one shot better than Doug coming in with a 51. After a good bogey on #1, Nate found a double on #2, double on #3 and triple on #4. This really dictated his round in the match. He posted a par on #7 and finished with a final double and triple on the last two holes.

Good try by both players.

TEAM #B8 BILL MARSACK & RON CORFIELD START AT THE TOP WITH A TWO POINT LEAD OVER NEWCOMERS ON TEAM #5B GARY CARR & DENNIS KOEHN Team #B1 ~ Erv Rock & Jim Loughead: The first two holes did Erv’s round in as he took 11 extra strokes on the holes. He leveled a bit posting a bogey and double before the par 5 #5 and the tough #6 finished off the round with another 10 extra strokes. Erv finished with a 69.

Coach, Jim also had some difficulties on his first three holes. He posted a double between a couple of triples. The par 5 got him Team # B3 ~ Denny Obenauer & Ken Kelchner: The first two holes did the all the major damage to Denny’s round as he opened with a 5 extra strokes on #1 and a triple on #2. The middle three holes were all doubles and he finished with a par on #7 and bogeys on 8 & 9. Ken opened with a triple but two many doubles destroyed h is round. He posted doubles on #6 and #8. He added a triple on #4. He managed pars Team #B5 ~ Gary Carr & Dennis Koehn: Gary got bit by a quad on the opening tough par 4 and then posted a few bogeys in his round. The 3rd hole cost him a double as did hole #7. He took a triple on the 6th hole and finished with back to back doubles to do the balance of the damage.

Team #B2 ~ Tim Weigel & Matt Zuber: Matt had a very nice round to start out the 2014 season coming in with an honorable mention as he posted a 43. He opened with a double and played bogey golf most of his round. He nailed a birdie on on 7 & 9. Good try by both in week one.

Team #B4 ~ Billy Alessandrini & Mark Dixon: Billy got off to a rough start in his first round of the season with a double and triple on the first two holes. He posted a few bogeys. Holes number 6, 7 & 8 did the rest of the damage, as he posted a triple, double and quad. Billy finished with a 55.

Mark also found a lot of extra strokes on is first 4 holes. And first three holes. Dennis posted a double between back to back quads.. Dennis nailed a par on #4 and #6.His final three holes did the rest of the damage as he posted a triple, double and quad. A valiant try by both of our newcomers to the league.

Team #B6 ~ Larry Ball & ??: Larry’s partner had to bail out before the start of the season, so we

Team # B7 ~ Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: Ernie had three tough holes to start out his round as he got stung by an opening quads on the first two holes. He posted a triple on #3 before finding a little relief on # 4 with a bogey. Holes # 5 & 6 did the rest of the major damages as he posted a double on 5 an a quad on 6. Ernie finished with a bogeys on 7 and 8 and parred #9. Good finish Ernie.

Steve played well for the first time out, with an opening bogey on the tough #1 hole. The next two holes cost him a much better round as he took back to back triples. After back to back bogeys, Steve posted three doubles but like his partner Ernie, he finished with a par on

#9. Good effort by Ernie and nice round Steve.

League Notes:

Rain checks for missed rounds will be available the week after you have missed and only if your league fees are up to date.

Please make sure that you check in each week . Do not take the cards if your opponents have not check in. There will be two newsletters with the score cards attached to them.

Each team will take 1 newsletter to share between partners.

We pray at the putting green at 5:00pm. Please be prompt to attend if at all possible.

Please continue to play ready golf so that the last group can get into the clubhouse in the light.

Please make sure we are not hitting up on the group ahead of you. If you even think you can’t get there, most of the time you will, so please be considerate.

Team #B8 ~ Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: Bill had two very bad holes to open his round that really cost him a good round. A double on #1 was followed by 5 extra shots on the first par 5. Bill then put his round together with some nice shooting.

He nailed pars on 3, 6 and 8. He finished with a double on #9 to finish off his round on a sour note.

Ron is coming off surgery and we are thankful to God for the healing he has provide Ron with to allow him to rejoin the league this year.

Ron had some tough holes as the first three holes dictated his round.

He posted thirteen extra strokes on his first thee holes. He posted bogeys on 4 & 7. Ron got bit by bacon

If you have lost your schedules I do have extra that I printed up and will be available to any of you that need it.

Please remember, if you are the last group, pick up the closest to markers and bring them in so we can award the sleeve of balls to the winners.

Hopefully Mother Nature will suppose to co-operate and bring the league some nice warm and dry weather to play golf in.
