TEAM #5 GARY & DENNIS CLOSE THE GAP AGAIN, MAKING UP 17 POINTS ON THE LEADERS DENNY & KEN AND WILL PLAY THEM IN THE FINAL POSITION ROUND!!

Team #B7: Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: Both Ernie & Steve posted some decent rounds in week 16. Ernie posts a (50) in week 16. The bogey on #1 didn’t hurt but the back to back doubles did on #2 & #3. He nailed a par on #4 but then it was a large number on #6, as he posts his only triple. He made a bogey on 6 and notched back to back doubles on 7 & 8.

Ernie nailed a par on the final par 4, hole #18.

Ernie finished with (2)

pars. Nice round Ernie.

Steve also had a pretty decent round, coming in with a (50) in week 16.

Steve started slow, posting a triple, bogey and double before nailing a par on #4. With back to back doubles on the 2nd par 5 and the 2nd hardest hole on the front, Steve made a bogey on #7. One more double, this time on #8 and a final bogey on #9. Steve finished with (1) par.

Nice round Steve.

Team #8: Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: Bill matched his last weeks round on the back, coming in with another 46. After an opening bogey, Bill nailed back to back pars to get his round back on track. A bogey on #4 was followed by a double on 5.

Bill finished with bogeys on #6 & #8 with doubles on #7 & #9. Bill finished with (2) pars. Good round Bill. Ron continues to struggle to get back into the lower 60’s coming in Continued bottom left

BILL MARSACK & KEN KELCHNER LEAD THE ‘B’ FLIGHT PLAYERS IN W ITH THE BEST ROUNDS - BOTH SHOOT 46 ~ HONORABLE MENTION TO: DENNIS K (47) LARRY B (47) BILLY A (47) DON B (48) ERNIE D (49) STEVE F (50) ~ NICE ROUNDS GUYS!!

with a disappointing round of (70).Ron posted triples on holes 1, 3, 5 & 8 costing him 12 extra shots. He took a bogey on the par three 4th before posting his only quad on #6. Holes #2 & #8 did the balance of the damage that cost Ron 14 extra shots. It was a valiant effort Ron. Team #B1: Jim Loughead & Erv Rock: Jim has been playing his rounds in the mid to lower 50’s the last several weeks, but stalled a bit coming in with a 60. The first three holes and the final two holes took the most toll on his round. He opened with triples on

the first three holes. A par on #4 was followed by a bogey, a double, a triple and a quad, taking him to #9.

There he took 5 extra strokes to finish his round.

Jim had (1) par. Good try Jim. Erv faired 2 shots better coming in with a 58. First two holes cost Erv (8) shots over par. Erv posted bogeys on 3 & 7 and a double on

2nd par 5 that was followed by a triple on #6.

Erv took a final quad on #8 but finished on a very nice note, nailing a par on #9.

Team #B2: Matt Zuber & Tim Weigel: Matt was absent and his bank round of 52 was used to calculate against his opponent. Tim played three shots better than last week, coming in with a 55. Tim tripled the opening hole, and notched a bogey on the first par 5. A double on #3 was followed by a par on #4. Holes #5 & #6 cost Tim a double on the par 5 and 5 shots over par on the #6 hole. He finished with a double bogey on #5 and 5 extra shots over par on #6. One more bogey before finishing with a triple on 8 and double on 9. Tim notched (1) par. Good try Tim.

Team #B3: Denny Obenauer & Ken Kelchner: The team still maintains a pretty sizeable lead, (46) points ahead of 2nd place Dennis & Gary. After a very nice round last week by Ken, he stumbled a bit in week 16. He comes in with a 46, four shots higher than last week. Ken opened with a bogey but nailed back to back pars on 2 & 3. He took back to back bogeys on #4 & #5. He then got caught in a doubles trap, posting three in a row. He did finish a bit better, posting a final bogey. Ken notched (2) pars. Good effort Ken. Denny matched his round from 2 weeks ago, coming in with a 54. Denny opened with a triple, and made another triple on #3, sticking in a par on #2.

After a bogey on 4, Denny posted back to back triples on 5 & 6.

Denny posted bogeys on 7 & 9 taking his 5th triple on #8. Good try Denny Team #B4: Billy Alessandrini & Mark Dixon: Mark was unable to make the round, and a bank round of 53 was used to calculate his card against his opponent. Billy continues to shoot ok, coming in with a 47 last week. Billy opened with bogeys on #1 & #2. A double on #3 was followed by a very nice birdie on #4. Billy found one more par in his round, posting that on #7.

His other (4) holes were all double bogeys that hurt his chances for a much lower round. Billy notched (1) par and (1) birdie. Good try Billy.

Team #B5: Dennis Koehn & Gary Carr: Dennis continues to post good rounds and then not so good rounds. He was in the upper part of the 40’s as he comes in with a little higher round posting a 47. Dennis played bogey golf for the first 5 holes before getting bit by a double on #6. He finished with a double on #8 sticking bogeys on #7 & #9. Good try Dennis.

Gary seems to play the front a bit better than the back.

Gary comes into the clubhouse with a 53, (3) shots better than last week on the back. Gary played bogey golf for the first 5 holes getting on the bogey train early. He got off the train on #6, where he

Posted a triple on the hole. Gary made a bogey on the par three 7th and then the bottom dropped off again. He took a triple on the par 4 - 8th and finished with an extra 5 strokes on the par 4 9th. All in all it was a decent round with some nice shooting

Team #B6: Larry Ball & Don Bacon: Larry continues to stay in the 40’s, posting a 47 last week. Larry started with bogeys on his first three holes, then nailed a par on #4. He posted another bogey on the 2nd par 5 but got crossed up and took a triple on #6. Larry finished with a bogey on 7, triple on 8 and a solid par on #9. Nice finish Larry.

Larry made (2) pars. Don Bacon has taken over for Norm, and

comes in with a nice round of 48.

The opening bogey was followed by a triple on #2, the first par 5. He nailed a par on 3, bogey on #4 and nailed a very nice birdie on #5. He made (1) more par, this time on #7. A final bogey on #6 and the final two holes, #8 & #9 cost Don 7 extra shots. He closed with a triple on #8 and quad on #9.

Good effort and shooting Don. Don notched (2) pars and (1) birdie. Good round Don.

TEAM #A 4 (BRIAN & DOMINIC) STILL MAINTAIN A 66 POINT LEAD EVEN AFTER LOSING A MATCH LAST WEEK ! TEAM #A3 (WAYNE & RUSTY) VAULT TWO TEAMS TO TAKE OVER 2ND PLACE WITH ONE WEEK REMAINING AFTER TONIGHTS ROUND! Team #A7: Bill Gaunt & Steve Ciaramitaro: Bill & Steve had to play the course this week and the course came out ahead. Bill started with a double but notched back to back pars on the 2nd and 3rd holes. He got bit by back to back doubles, the first on the par three 4th and the 2nd par 5. He finished with pars on 7 & 9 sticking in bogeys on 6 & 8. Bill notched (4) pars and finished with a 44. Good round Bill. Steve just could not shake the

Doubles and triples in his round.

Back to back doubles to start on 1 & 2 was followed by back to back triples. He then took back to back quads that pretty much finished his chances for a lower round. He nailed a par on the par 3 seventh and finished with a final triple on 8 and double on 9. Steve finished with (1) par.

Good try Steve.

Team #A8: Doug Busam & Nate Hood: Doug was unavailable to play this week and his bank round of 47 was used against his opponent in week 16.

Nate continues to show great improvements as his last 4 out of 5 rounds has been in the lower 40’s.

He comes in with a 42 this week. A triple started his round, but he made a par on #2. He then put back to back bogeys together and again notching his second par on the second par 5. He then seemed to get more focused and finished on a strong note. He nailed a par on #6, took a bogey on 7 and nailed back to back pars on 8 & 9.

Great finish after a rough starting hole, Nate. Nate notched (5) pars.

BRENT C & ANDRE V LEAD THE ‘A’ FLIGHT PLAYERS INTO THE CLUBHOUSE WITH THE BEST ROUNDS OF THE NIGHT WITH 38’s: HONORABLE MENTION TO: KEN H (39)~ WAYNE D (39) PAT N (39) ~ WARREN H (40) ~ RAY R (40) ~ DOMINIC D (40) ~ RUSTY E (41) BRIAN D (42) ~ NATE H (42) & BILL G (44) !! NICE SHOOTING BY ALL !!

Team #A9: Brent Cymbalski & Ken Cymbalski: Brent continues to play great golf, coming this week with a 38, to share top honors for the best round in the ‘A’ flight players.

After an opening bogey, Brent went to town. A par on the first par 5 was followed by a very nice birdie on #3. Brent made bogey on #4 and notched his second birdie on hole # 5.

Brent took a double on #6 and then finished strong. He nailed

pars on his final three holes to top off a nice round. Brent finished with (4) pars and (2) birdies. Nice shooting Brent.

Ken posted another round of 50 after a couple of tough weeks when he wasn’t feeling well. After the double on 1, Ken nailed a par on the first par 5, hole #2. He made his second double on #3 and took a triple on the par 3 4th.

He nailed his second par on the second par 5. He then

September 4, 2014 Team #A1: Stan Dreslinski & Ray Ressler: Stan was unable to make the league night and a bank round of 43 was used to calculate against his opponent. Ray comes into the watering hole with a very nice round of 40. Ray started with back to back bogeys on #1 & #2. He then got into a nice groove, posting pars on 3 and 4 and topping that with a birdie on the second par 5, hole #5. He then posted bogeys on his next three holes, but finished with a par on # 9 for a good finish to a decent round. Ray finished with (2) pars and (1) birdie. Good round Ray. Team #A2: Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe: Andre shared

top honors for the lowest round in the ’A’ flight with Brent C with a very nice round of 38. Andre started hot, posting pars on the first two tough holes. He stuck in a bogey on the par 4, 3rd hole but then nailed a par on the first par 3. He removed the extra stroke from three with a solid birdie on the par 5-5th. He finished with a bogeys on 6 & 8 and pars on 7 & 9 for a good finish to a very nice round. Andre posted (5) pars and (1) birdie.

Nice round Andre. Partner Ken, finished one shot behind Andre with a very nice 39. Ken opened with a bogey but removed the extra shot with a birdie on #2.

He parred his way to hole #5 before finding a bogey on #6. He notched a final par on #7 and finished with back to back

bogeys on 8 & 9. Nice round Ken. Ken posted (4) pars and (1) birdie.

Team #A3: Wayne Davidson & Rusty Ellison: Both players had very nice rounds this week. Wayne knocked off two strokes coming in with a 39 in week 16. Way notched an opening bogey and parred his next two holes. He made back to back bogeys on 4 & 5 and then helped his round with back to back pars on 6 & 7. He made one more bogey and removed the extra shot on 8 with a birdie on #9. Wayne finished with (4) pars and (1) birdie.

Rusty likewise knocked off two strokes from last week, coming in with a 41. Rusty nailed an opening par then bogeyed the first par 5. He made a par on #3 and then made bogeys on the next three holes. He notched pars on 7 & 9 and added a

bogey in on # 8. Nice shooting Rusty. Rusty finished with (4) pars.

Team #A4: Brian DeRita & Dominic DeRita: Brian struggled a bit, coming in with a 42 in week 16. After the opening bogey, Brian nailed pars on his next three holes. Hole #5 cut into his round as he posted his first of two doubles. He made a bogey on 6 and added back to back pars on 7 & 8. Brian finished with a double on #9.

Brian posted (5) pars. Nice effort Brian. Dom posted another nice round, coming in with a 40. Dom opened with a double and then made back to back pars. He bogeyed the par three 4th and notched a par on #5. He removed the extra stroke on

#6 with a very nice birdie on #7.

Dom finished with a bogey on 8 and par on 9. Dom notched (4) pars and (1) bird. Nice shooting Dom. Team #A5: Pat Nellis & Cory Routheaux: Pat’s last three rounds have all been under 40, coming in with a very nice 39 in play last week. Pat nailed pars in his first 5 holes before posting a bogey on double on #6. He finished with pars on 7 & 9 and a bogey on #8 for the 3 over 39.

Cory took a bogey on 1 and then got bit by a quad on #2. He stuck a par between doubles on 3 & 5 and posted a double on #6. He finished better, notching pars on 7 & 8 and bogey on 9.

Cory posted (3)pars in his round of 48. Good try Corman!

Team #A6: Warren Hood & Jim Turner: Warren got back to the low 40’s, coming in with a 40.

An opening triple cost him a chance for an under 40’s round.

Warren got into a groove and posted pars on the next 7 holes before ending the par streak with a bogey on #9. Great finish to a very nice round Pastor Hood. Warren finished with (7) pars. Partner Jim didn’t fare as well as Warren. Jim started in the hole with an opening triple as well. He parred #2 and then made bogeys on his next 3 holes. He posted his first of two doubles on #6. Bogeys followed on #7 & 8 before finishing his round with a final double on #9.

Jim finished with (1) par in his round of 48. A valiant effort Jim.
