THE BOYS OF SUMMER (BRIAN DERITA & DOM DERITA) ALL BUT LOCK UP FIRST PLACE AS THEY INCREASE THEIR LEAD TO 74 POINTS WITH THREE WEEKS REMAINING IN THE SEASON!! Team #A5: Pat Nellis (38) & Cory Routheaux (48): Pat started poorly but made up for the opening double on #10 and a bogey on #11 as he knocked off one of the extra strokes with a birdie on #12 enroute to his (38). He made one more bogey on #13 and coasted home with pars on the next 5 holes for a great finish. Pat notched (5) pars and (1) birdie. Nice round Patrick. Cory actually played decently on most of the holes. He notched an opening par on #10 and then bogeyed the next three holes. He made two triples in his round. One came on #14 and the other on #18. Cory posted bogeys on 11, 12 & 13 along with bogeys on 15 & 16. Hole #17 cost Cory his only double. Good effort Cory. Cory made (1) par in his round of (48). Team #A6: Pastor Warren Hood (Bank round 46) & Pastor Jim Turner (Bank round 45): Both players were absent for week #15 and bank rounds were used to post against their opponents. Team #A7: Bill Gaunt (41) & Steve Ciaramitaro (53): Bill seems to find one hole that does a number on his round. This time it was hole #10. Bill found some water along the way and posted an 8 on the hole. He played par-bogey golf on holes 11, 12 13 & 14. He got into a par mode on the final 4 holes with some might fine shooting. Bill notched (6) pars in his round of 41. Steve also had a much better round than those of the last few weeks. Steve posted (4) doubles on #10, #14, #16 & #18. He made a quad on #13 and a triple on #17. Steve finished with a 53, his second in a row. Very nice effort and round Steve. Team #A8: Doug Busam (Bank round 47) & Nate Hood (50): Doug has been called to do extra practice for his musical group and won’t be available for the next few weeks. His bank round of (47) was used to post against his opponent. Nate has been playing well, but ran into trouble last week in his round, as he posted a (50).After an opening double,. Nate notched a bogey on #11 and made his only par on #12. He found back to back bogeys on #14 & 15 . His final two holes did the rest of the damage as he got bit by a quad on #17 and a double on the par 5 –18th. Good effort Nate. Team #A9: Brent Cymbalski (42) & Ken Cymbalski (50): This team had to play against the course this week and they split points right down the middle. Brent started with a bogey on #10 and put together back to back pars on #11 & #12. He then posted bogeys on #13 & 14 before finding a double on #15. Brent finished with bogeys on 16 & 17 and nailed a very nice par on #18. Brent finished his (42) with (3) pars. Ken has gotten over his illness and played better this week. He had a bad start on #10 hole, adding 5 extra strokes on his card. Ken added a three doubles to go with a couple of pars, one on #13 and the other on #18. Ken finished his round of (50) with (2) pars. Good effort and shooting Ken.
