TEAM #B4 PUT A LITTLE MORE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM & TEAM #B5 AS THEY TAKE 42 POINTS IN LAST WEEKS MATCH & LEAD BY 58 POINTS NOW!! BILL MARSACK LEADS THE ‘B’ FLIGHT PLAYERS IN WITH A VERY NICE 5 OVER ROUND OF 41 - NICE JOB BILL!! #B3: Denny Obenauer (48) & Ken Kelchner (45): Denny continues to stay in the upper 40’s as his partner Ken remains in the low to middle 40’s. Denny made a nice bogey on the #1 handicap hole. A double on #2 followed along with a bogey on #3. Denny knocked off a stroke with a great birdie on #4. His next two holes bit him for an extra 6 strokes with back to back triples. He finished with a par on #7 along with a double on #8. Denny put a bogey on the score card for his round of 48.

Denny notched ((1) birdie & (1) par. Good round Denny. Partner Ken continues to stay in the mid 40’s. After an opening double, Ken nailed a par on #2. A bogey on #3 was followed by back to back doubles on 4 & 5. Ken made a strong finish, posting pars on 6, 8 & 9 with a double on #7. Ken finished with (4) pars in a decent round. #B4: Billy Alessandrini (54) & Mark Dixon (59): Billy continues to hover around the low 50’s as his partner Mark has a bit of a roller coaster ride with his rounds, adding 6 extra strokes this week. Billy started poorly with a triple but notched a very nice par on the first par 5. Hole number three clipped him for 5 extra strokes. A par on #4 was immediate wiped out by a triple on #5. Billy looked like he settled down with bogeys on 6, 7 & 8. Hole number 9 did the balance of damage with a quad.

Good try Billy. Billy finished with (2) pars. Mark struggled much in week 12, coming in with a (59) six strokes worse than last week. Mark got off to a very bad start with 5 extra strokes on hole #1. After a bogey on #2, Mark posted back to back triples.

It was then a reduction of strokes, some what, with back to back doubles on #5 & #6. He managed a couple of bogeys on #7 & #9 sticking in 5 more strokes over par on #8. It was a valiant effort Mark. Keep on trying. #B5: Dennis Koehn (47) & Gary Carr (57): Dennis continues to stay in the middle of the 40’s, coming in with a 47 in week 12. Dennis nailed a very nice par on the #1 handicap hole to get started in the right track. The par 5, hole #2 produced a bogey that was immediately followed by a double. Dennis notched back to back pars before hole #6 took huge chunk out of this round. It took him 5 extra strokes to get it into the hole. He did finish on a better note, notching back to back to back bogeys on the final three holes. Dennis finished with (3) pars. Good effort Dennis. Gary continues to have his struggles, coming in with a stroke worse than last week, as he posted a 57. If he could have gotten rid of the first two holes, he might have had a better round. The opening triple was bad enough, but the par 5, hole #2 gouged him for any extra 5 strokes. He seemed to recover from the previous two disappointing holes as the notched back to back pars. Then up jumped hole #5 and #6. His last 5 holes did the rest of the damage, as he posted 3 triples, and two doubles costing him 13 additional strokes. A valiant effort Gary. #B6: Larry Ball (50) & Norm Giraud (52): Larry returned after a week off and posted a pretty decent round. Larry turned in a 50 playing the front nine. The opening triple on #1 was followed by a bogey on the par 5, hole #2 and a bogey on #3. He got nipped by a double on the first par three. He notched his only par on #5 and followed that with a double on #6. Hole #8 did the balance of the extra strokes as he posted a quad. He did manage bogeys on 7 & 9. Larry finished with (1) par. Good try Larry. Norm posted his best round by far so far in league play as he knocked off 9 strokes from last week. His first two holes did the extent of the damage. 8 extra strokes totaled between them. He took a triple on the par 3, hole #4. He notched pars on 5, 7 & 8 with some nice putting. His final hole bit him for a final triple or he might have finished in the 40’s. Norm finished with (3) pars. Way to go Norm. Nice round and good shooting.

HONORABLE MENTION ON LAST WEEKS ROUNDS: KEN KELCHNER (45) DENNIS KOEHN (47) DENNY OBENAUER (48) & LARRY BALL (50) & NORM GIRAUD (52) & MATT ZUBER (52)!! NICE ROUNDS GUYS! 50/50 Winner: Bill Marsack continues to be the lucky recipient of the drawing. Nice job Bill.

#B7: Ernie Danos (53) & Steve Fleck (63): Ernie continues to struggle some, with a few of the tougher holes. He opened with back to back quads. He added a double on #3 and nailed back to back pars to get back into a nice groove. He added a triple on #6 and then finished with a bogey on #7 followed by a par on #8. Hole number 9 stung him with a triple. Good round Ernie. Ernie finished with (3) pars. Nice job Ernie. Partner Steve continues to struggle to get back into the 50’s, posting a 63 in last weeks round. The total accumulated extra strokes added up to 11 after the first three holes. He made a welcomed bogey on #4. Again, he met up with Mr. Triple on #5 and Mr. Quad on #6. He made back to back doubles on 7 & 8 before finishing on a sour note with a final Quad. A valiant try Steve. #B8: Bill Marsack (41) & Ron Corfield (64): Bill finally played a very nice round, leading the B flight players in with a 41. Bill opened with a bogey and nailed his first of 5 pars on the #2 hole. A bogey on #3 was followed up with a par #4 and the par 5 #5. Hole number six, bit into Bill’s round with his only double of the round. Bill finished strong, posting two pars, one on #7 and the final one on #9. A bogey on #8 separated the pars but didn’t hurt the round too much. Nice round Bill. Bill finished with (5) pars. Very nice round Bill. We have to get Ron back into the 50’s like he did 4 weeks ago. Ron comes in with a 64 as he continues to struggle some. His first two holes pretty much told the tale as he got bit by 10 extra strokes. He got on a doubles kick, posting them on 3, 4 & 5. He added a couple more triples, posting one on #6 and the other on #9. Ron found his only bogey on #7. Hole number 8 did the balance of the damage posting (5) more strokes over the hole par. A very honorable try Ron. #B1: Jim Loughead (54) & Erv Rock (66): Jim continues to practice and remains playing in the lower part of the 50’s, coming in with a 54 in week 12. His first two holes cost him 7 extra strokes on the card. He made a bogey on #3 and followed that with a double on #4. He nailed a par on #5 and bogeyed the tough hole #6. He struggled on two of the final three holes.

He posted triples on #7 and a triple on #9. Jim notched a bogey on #8. Good round Jim. We need Erv to settle down and get back into the 50’s like he was a week ago. Erv got into a tough rut, with an opening triple followed by a quad. After the double on #3, Erv found his second quad on the card from #4. He double the 2nd par 5 and then his round went really south.

Hole #6 cost his 6 extra shots. He finished with triples on his final three holes. Good try Erv. We have to get Erv to not be so hard on himself and relax a bit. The shots will come Erv. Coach has relayed that he and Erv continue to practice to try to get their rounds down some. Anyways guys, keep on practicing and the scores will start to come down.

TEAM #A4 MAINTAINS A VERY COMFORTABLE LEAD AS WE ARE 5 WEEKS AWAY FROM THE END OF THE REGULAR LEAGUE SEASON BRENT CYMBALSKI PARS THE FRONT NINE WITH A (36) ~ GREAT ROUND ~ HONORABLE MENTION: ANDRE (39) ~ KEN H (41) ~ JIM T (42) WAYNE (42) ~ DOMINIC (43) ~ BRIAN (44) ~ NATE (44) ~ WARREN (44) ~ NICE ROUNDS GUYS Team #A2: Andre Viger (39) & Ken Huyghe (41): Andre continues to shoot well posting the second best round of the night, with a 3 over 39. Andre posted pars on 6 holes with only three bogeys on the card. Andre made a strong finish with 4 pars in a row. Nice round Andre. Partner Ken was only a couple of strokes behind Andre, coming in with a (41). Ken got clipped by a couple of doubles in two of his first three holes. Ken also finished with 6 pars in his round. He finished strong with three in a row. Nice rounds by both.

Team #A3: Wayne Davidson (42) & Rusty Ellison (48): Wayne has seemed to find his game and comes in with a very nice 6 over par 42, dropping off one stroke from last week. Wayne posted a couple of doubles and a bogey in his first three holes. He seemed to settle down, nailing pars on 3 of his next four holes. He notched a birdie on #8 and finished with a bogey on #9. Wayne notched (3) pars and the bird. Nice round Wayne. Rusty has gotten into a upper 40’s for the third week in a row. Rusty comes in with a 48, his second in three weeks. Holes #2 & 3 pretty much dictated his round as he posted back to back triples. He managed (3) pars in the round to go with a couple of doubles in his round. Good try Rusty.

Team #A4: Brian DeRita (44) & Dominic DeRita (43): Both players seemed to struggle a bit. Brian still trying to get back in sync after a two week layoff. His timing should be back by next week and the 44 should come down.

Brian posted a couple of bogeys to start and took a double on his third hole. He managed to make 4 pars in the round, both par three’s and the 2nd par 5. He finished with a par on #9. Dom got off to a bogey, double bogey and bogey start. He then seemed to get into a par groove, notching (4) in a row. He finished on a low note, with a double and bogey for his round of (43). Good effort by both.

Team #A5: Pat Nellis (42) & Cory Routheaux (50): Pat seemed to be a bit off this week after a week off last week. Pat opened with a bogey and notched pars on his next two holes. After the double on 4 and bogey on 5 Pat seemed to put it back together to salvage his round. Pat notched two more pars and two bogeys to finish his round. Pat had (4) pars. Cory continues to try and get back into the 40’s, posting a 50 last week. Cory posted 6 doubles, two bogeys and (1) par. Good effort Cory.

Team #A6: Warren Hood (44) & Jim Turner (42): This team had to play the course and they did fair better than some of the others that have had to do it. Warren posted a mid 40’s round of 44 taking 11 points. Warren notched pars on 3, 4 & 5 & 7. Warren added a double on #2 and a final triple on #9. Good try Pastor. Jim posted his 2nd (42) round of the season. Jim started slow with a double. He then notched pars on his next three holes. He then finished with (1) more par and 4 bogeys. Good round Jim. Jim finished with (4) pars.

Team #A7: Bill Gaunt (45) & Steve Ciaramitaro (58): Bill seems to have a couple of bad holes that keeps him from have lower rounds. Bill found (3) pars in his round. He also found two triples and a double. Bill nailed a birdie on #8 to reduce the round score by one coming in with a 45. Bill just loses a bit of control that keeps his rounds up some. Steve also continues to struggle to get back into the upper 40’s to lower 50’s. Steve comes in with a 58. The first two holes and the final two holes did the most damage. He posted a quad and double to start and finished with a quad and triple. Steve could not find any pars. A valiant effort by Steve.

Team #A8: Doug Busam (49) & Nate Hood (44): Doug got off to a poor start, with a triple on 1 and a double on 3. He seemed to play bogey golf most of the rest of his round. He was unable to post any pars, but made his second double on the 8th hole. Good try Doug. Nate has turned up his game and has knocked off 5 strokes from his previous round. Nate found pars on #2, #4& #5 before #6 clipped him for a quad. He made a double on 8 but nailed a long birdie on #9. Good round Nate.

Team #A9: Brent Cymbalski (36) & Ken Cymbalski (56): Brent posted the best round among all golfers as he parred the course with a (36). Brent posted 2 bogeys, but took care of the extra strokes with two birdies. He made one on the first par 5 and the second one on #6. He finished with (5) pars. Great round Brent. Ken struggled for the second week in a row. He comes in with a 56. His first couple of holes cost him 7 extra strokes. He made a couple of triples, back to back and notched 3 bogeys. Good try Ken. Team #A1: Stan Dreslinski (43) & Ray Ressler (Bank round (43): Stan started slow but seem to gain some control in his game as he played on. He posted a double to start but played bogey golf most of his round. He was able to notch (3) pars to help his round. Good round Stan. Ray was unable to play and a bank round of (43) was used.
