TEAM #A4 INCREASES THEIR LEAD TO 40 POINTS EVEN WITH BRIAN’S BANK ROUND OF 42 THAT GETS CLOPPERED BY #A9 KEN CYMBALSKI WHO COMES INTO THE CLUBHOUSE WITH HIS BEST ROUND OF 45 TO TAKE 21 POINTS!! NICE ROUND KEN! Team #A8: Doug Busam & Nate Hood: Doug’s round looked like a battle zone with multiple doubles and quads that brought him into the clubhouse with his worse round of the season, a disappointing 57. His round consisted of 3 doubles on the first three holes.

He broke up the doubles with a quad on #13 and added yet another double on #14. He made a final quad on #15 and finished his round with three more doubles. A valiant effort Doug. Nate finally posted his best round of the season coming into the 19th hole with a 44. Nate played bogey golf for the first three holes. He notched his only par on #13 before making a double on #14. Nate finished like he started, this time four bogeys in a row. Nate finished with (1) par. Nice round Nate.

Team #A9: Brent Cymbalski & Ken Cymbalski: For the second week in a row, Brent struggled to get his round back down in the upper 30’s to lower 40’s, posting a decent round of 43. After and opening bogey, Brent nailed back to back pars with some nice shooting. Hole #13 cost him his first of two doubles. He notched a

par on #14 and then struggled to make any more pars as he made three bogeys in a row. The final par 5 cost him his 2nd double. Brent finished with (2) pars. Good try Brent. Father Ken had his best round yet in the league coming in with a nice round of 45. An opening double was followed by a nice par on #11. Then back to back bogeys followed on #12 & #13.The tough double water hole, #14 bit into Ken’s round with a double. Ken made a bogey on #15 but found his second double on 16. He made a nice recovery nailing a par on the #1 handicap hole on the back, hole #17. Ken finished with a bogey on #18 and a nice round. Ken finished with (2) pars. Great job Ken. Team #A1: Stan Dreslinski & Ray Ressler: Stan fell off last weeks good round by two strokes coming in with a 44.

Stan started with a bogey and notched his first of two pars on hole #11. After taking a bogey on #12, Stan found back to back doubles on 13 & 14. His final par came on #15 and Stan finished out with bogeys on his final three holes. Stan notched (2) pars. Good try Stan. Ray again posted an ok round but continues to struggle with his putting that cost him at least 3 strokes in his round. Ray started his round with a double but notched his first of 4 pars on #11. Ray made a bogey on #12 and notched another par on #13. Hole #14

cost him his 2nd double as the water bit him for an extra stroke.

He put together back to back pars on 15 & 16 before finishing with a bogey on 17 and double on 18.

Ray comes in with a 43, posting (4) pars. Good effort Ray. Team #A2: Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe: Ken had to go in for a stress test and was unable to attend week 9. Please remember to keep him in your daily prayers for a positive out come from the test.

Andre continues to shoot very well, coming in with a 36, a one over par round in last weeks competition. His card was a stroke short of parring the course. He was hot on his first three holes, nailing a par on #10, birdie on 11 and par on #12. He took a bogey on #13 before getting back on the par train. He made them on 14, 15 & 16. Andre took one more bogey on #17 before finishing with a solid par on #18. Andre finished with (6) pars and (1) birdie. Great round Andre.

Team #A3: Wayne Davidson & Rusty Ellison: Wayne played a little worse than the previous week as he comes into the clubhouse with a 44. Wayne started slow posting and opening double on #10. He posted pars on #11 & #13 sticking in a bogey on #12. Hole #14 took a chunk out of his round as he posted a triple. He looked like he got it back together notching back to back pars. The final two holes did the final damage, as he posted a bogey on 17 and double on 18. Good round Wayne. Wayne finished with (4) pars. Partner Rusty played one stroke better than his partner coming in with a 43 in last weeks round. Rusty opened with a par before taking a double on #11. He added back to back bogeys on 12 & 13 before getting stung by a double on 14.Rusty notched back to back pars on 15 & 16 before closing out his round with back to back bogeys. Rusty finished with (3) pars in his round. Good try Rusty.

ANDRE VIGER COMES IN WITH THE BEST ROUND IN WEEK #9 POSTING A (1) OVER PAR 36!! PAT ‘THE BIG EASY’ NELLIS WAS RIGHT BEHIND HIM COMING IN WITH A 39! HONORABLE MENTION: DOMINIC DERITA WITH A 40, BRENT CYMBALSKI (43), RUSTY ELLISON (43), RAY RESSLER (43), BILL GAUNT (43) ,NATE HOOD (44), STAN DRESLINSKI (44), WAYNE DAVIDSON (44) & KEN CYMBALSKI (45)-GOOD JOB BY ALL!!

Team #A4: Brian DeRita & Dominic DeRita: While Brian was flying to Italy, his partner was taking care of business on the golf course in week 9. Brian’s bank round took a hit as his opponent had one of his better rounds this season only allowing Brian 5 points on Brian’s bank round of 42. Dominic continues to play excellent golf, coming in with the third best round of the night posting a 40 for his round. Dom nailed pars on the first two holes before making a bogey on #12. He nailed a birdie on #13 to get back to even par on the card. The final four holes did the damage to his round. Back to back bogeys on 15 & 16 were followed by a double on 17 and bogey on 18. Dominic finished with (3) pars and (1) birdie in a very nice round. Nice shooting Dom. Team #A5: Pat Nellis & Cory Routheaux: Pat continues to play well and comes in with the second best round in week 9, posting a 4 over 39. Pat got off to a slow start, posting an opening bogey followed by a double on

hole #11. He then put together pars on his next 5 holes to get his round back in shape. One more blemish came about on #17 as he posted a bogey. Pat finished with a par on #18 and a nice round. Pat finished with (6) pars to go with his one double and two bogeys. Nice shooting Pat. Cory’s first two holes started his round on the downside as he posted an opening triple followed by a double on #11. He snuck in a par on 12 and then got stung again with a double on 13 and triple on #14. After a bogey on #15, Cory faltered again taking a triple on #16. Cory seemed to recover a bit, notching a bogey on 17 and a par on the finishing hole for his round of 50. Cory notched (2) pars in his round. Good try Cory.

Team #A6: Warren Hood & Jim Turner: Pastor Jim Turner was unavailable for golf in week 9 and a bank round of 45 was used against his opponent. Warren on the other hand was there and after three decent rounds in the previous weeks, fell off some in week 9. Warren comes into the clubhouse with a disappointing round of 46. Warren opened with a bogey but things turned around quickly. Warren made triple on #11 followed by a double on #12. He looked like he would turn things around posting back to back bo-

geys on 13 & 14. Then nailed pars on 15 & 16 with some nice putting. His final two holes did the balance of the damage. A double on 17 was followed by a bogey on 18. Warren finished with (2) pars.

Good try Warren.

Team #A7: Bill Gaunt & Steve Ciaramitaro: Bill was on fire last week and I am surprised at his finish. Bill was on pace for a round under 40 with some excellent shooting. Bill started with a par on 10, birdie on 11 and par on 12 before stalling a bit. Bill got clipped by a bogey on 13, double on 14 and bogey on 15 before getting back on track. Bill nailed pars on 16 & 17 and then hole number 18 showed up. Unfortunately Bill didn’t. Bill got beat up with some errant shots and ends up with 5 extra strokes on the final par 5. Bill finished with a 43, posting (4) pars and (1) birdie.

Good round Bill. Steve has had his second round in the low 50’s in a row, actually knocking off (1) stroke from last week, posting a 52. The first two holes brought his

round to it’s knees with back to back triples to get off on the wrong foot. Then Steve nailed back to back pars on 12 & 13 for a nice recovery. Two double showed up on 14 & 15 before Steve made a bogey on #16. The final two holes did the damage costing him a round in the 40’s. Steve made a quad on #17 and finished with a double on 18 to finish his round. Steve finished with (2) pars. Good round Steve.

Closest to the Pin Winner: Hole #16 A Flight Andre Viger Note: Coach Jim Loughead was closest to the pin on #16, but unfortunately It was the A flights hole for closest contest. Coach made the birdie also.

Mystery Winner: Bill Marsack bought Norm’s bank round of 65. The money was donated back along with an anonymous extra $5.00 donation.

VOLUME 16 ISSUE 10 Team #B8: Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: Bill Marsack comes in with a better round after a couple of weeks of tough rounds, posting a round two strokes better than last week with a 45. Bill started with a disappointing triple to start out his round. He then made bogeys on the next two holes. Bill notched a par on #13 before the nasty hole #14 cut into his round with a double. Bill made his second and final par on #15. Bill stayed in bogey mode, notching three in a row to finish his round. Bill notched (2) pars in a decent round. Good try Bill. More importantly, we see a tremendous improved round by his partner, Ron Corfield. Ron posted a very nice round of 55, knocking off 10 strokes from last weeks round. The first hole cut into his round with 5 extra strokes to get off to a poor start. Ron then posted a bogey on 11 followed by a double on 12. Again, Ron settled down and notched back to back bogeys.

Hole #14 and 17 found triples on the card. Ron posted a bogey on 16 and a final double on 18. A very nice round Ron, keep up the good shooting.

Team #B1: Jim Loughead & Erv Rock: Erv was absent and a bank round of 66 was used against his opponents card. Jim was there and did have a round 3 strokes worse than last week. Coach got

PAGE 3 off to a slow start, posting back to back doubles on 10 & 11. A bogey on #12 was followed by a two holes that hurt his round. A triple on 13 was followed by a quad on #14. After another bogey, this time on #15, Coach out did Andre’s closest to the pin on #16, and made the birdie to put a two on the card. Coach got stung by a triple on #17 and double on 18 to finish out a decent round. Coach comes in with a 51, nailing (1) birdie on his round.

Nice round Coach.

Team #B2: Tim Weigel & Matt Zuber: Remember to keep Tim in prayer as he had an accident on his way to golf last week.

He did relay that he was ok when I spoke to him. My understanding is that Matt was following him but was not involved in an accident, but stayed to assist him in anything he needed. Bank rounds of (51) for Matt and (57) for Tim were used against their opponents.

Team #B3: Denny Obenauer & Ken Kelchner: Denny posted his best round of the season, knocking off 7 strokes from last weeks round. Denny comes in with a 45 with some nice shooting. Denny was on fire as he started with a bogey but then nailed pars on his next three holes with some clutch putting. The tough #14 hole cost him 3 extra strokes as he posts a triple on the hole. He made back to back bogeys on 15 & 16 and then got stung by a triple on #17. Denny finished with a bogey on the par 5 -18th hole. Denny finished with (3) pars. Nice round Denny.

JULY 07, 2014 As Denny was dropping strokes, partner Ken was adding strokes.

Ken went up 7 strokes, coming in with a 48. Ken sandwiched a bogey on #11 between doubles on 10 & 12. He did the same thing on #14, as he doubled #13 an #15.

Ken made a lone par on #16 before closing out his round with a bogey on 17 and double on18.

Ken notched one par in his round.

Good effort Ken. Denny & Ken added a couple more points to increase their lead to 27 points over Team #B5 Dennis & Gary.

Team #B4: Billy Alessandrini & Mark Dixon: Billy continues to struggle some, coming in 5 strokes worse than last week, posting a 53 in week 9. The first hole did extensive damage to start his round, as he added 4 strokes over par. He made a bogey on #11 and then got clipped by a triple on the first par three.

One more bogey, this time on #13 before getting his second triple on the tough double water hole #14.

Three of the last four holes were filled in with bogeys, but the 2nd par three got him for his third triple of his round. A valiant effort Billy. Mark also got off to a poor start, making a quad to start his round. A bogey on #11 was followed by back to back doubles on

12 & 13. Things went south on #14 & #15 as Mark posted back to back triples. Mark finished by sandwiching a bogey on #17 between doubles on 16 & 18. Good try Mark.

Team #B5: Gary Carr & Dennis Koehn: Gary knocked four strokes off last weeks round, coming in with a 51 in week 9. Gary started ok, posting an opening bogey before #11 cut into his round with a triple. One more bogey on #12 before getting bit by four doubles in a row that cost him a much better round. Gary notched a bogey on #17 and finished with a double on 18. Good try Gary. Dennis coming off a bank round last week, played ok, posting a 43 in week 9. The opening triple hurt his round the most. He then got rolling, posting a bogey on 11 and back to back pars on 12 & 13. Another bogey on 14 was followed by back to back pars on 15 & 16. Dennis finished with a double on 17 and bogey on 18. Dennis finished with (4) pars. Nice shooting Dennis.

TEAM #B3 INCREASE THEIR LEAD BY 2 POINTS AFTER POSITION ROUND #2 WITH DENNY OBENAUER POSTING HIS BEST ROUND OF THE SEASON ~ A NICE 45 !!

THE SECOND HALF BEGINS TONIGHT WITH THREE TEAMS CHASING THE LEADERS !!

Team #B6: Larry Ball & Norm Giraud: Norm was unable to attend league night #9 and a bank round of 65 was used against his opponent. Larry made significant improvements from his round two weeks ago, coming in 8 strokes better with a 54. Three holes did extensive damage to his round.

The opening hole added 5 extra strokes to start his round in a big hole. Larry made bogey on 11 and followed with a par on #12. After the double on #13, Larry got clipped by 5 more extra strokes on

1ST 2ND 3RD 3RD 5TH 6TH 7TH 8TH

#14. Larry posted a bogey on 15 and nailed his second par on #16. He finished with a quad on #17 and a bogey on 18 for a round of 54. Larry notched (2) pars.

Good try Larry. Larry & Norm are tied for third with team #B8 Bill & Ron. Both teams are looking to make up some ground in the 2nd half of the season, starting tonight.

Team #B7: Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: For the second week in a row, Ernie was unable to attend the league play. A bank round of 54 was used against his opponent that took 17 points and helped the team move up the ladder into 5th place.

Steve Fleck has been playing much better and comes in with a 51, a stroke better than last weeks round. The opening two doubles didn’t help but Steve managed to drain a nice par putt on #12. The next 5 holes were just like his first two. Steve made doubles on 6 straight holes, that cost him 12 extra strokes on the card. Steve nailed (1) par in his round. Good effort and try Steve.

I should have the info for our year end outing next week and will post it in the newsletter.
