TEAM #4 (TIM WEIGEL & MATT ZUBER) TAKE OVER 1ST PLACE AND WILL PLAY TEAM #7 (MIKE KOVE & RAND HEWITT) IN OUR 2ND POSITION ROUND OF THE SEASON!! IT’S THE 3RD MEETING BY THESE TWO TEAMS IN THE FIRST HALF SHOWDOWN!! Team #B7: Mike Kove & Rand Hewitt: Mike & Rand have held on to first place for several weeks, but fell short in in their bid to go into the 2nd position round in first place, but fell short dropping into 2nd. Mike’s first two holes did lots of damage posting a quad on #10 and triple on #11. He made double on the first par three and bogeyed #13. He again found double trouble on #14 & #15. A bogey on #16 was followed by a final triple on #17 and bogey on 18. Mike finished with a 54. Rand also comes in with a 54. Rand started his round with a double and was able to post a bogey on the 11th. The first par three cost him 5 extra strokes which was followed up by a double on #13. He
bogeyed the tough #14and then posted doubles on his next four holes. Good try by both players in some tough rounds posted last week. Team #B8: Bill Folson & Brian Hewitt: Bill is out of the country for the next few weeks and a bank round of (49) was used against his opponent. Brian got off to a rough start posting back to back quads on #10 & #11. After a double on #12, Brian stuck a quad between triples on #13 & #15. A bogey on #16 and more trouble followed on the final two holes. A final quad on 17 and triple on 18 to finish his round at (63). A valiant effort by Brian. Team #B1: Ken Kelchner & Denny Obenauer:
Ken continues to stay near the mid 40’s, leading the ‘B’ flight in with a 45. Ken had some opening problems as he started with a triple and followed that with a double. He put a double on #13 between bogeys on 12 & 14. He then nailed back to back pars on 15 & 16. He finished with a bogey on 17 and nice par on 18. Ken finished with (3) pars. Denny continues to struggle to get back into the 40’s, coming in three strokes better than last week with a (54). Denny started with a triple and then continued below left
KEN KELCHNER LEADS THE ‘B’ FLIGHT PLAYERS IN WITH A (45)~ BILL MARSACK & ERNIE DANOS COME IN WITH 47’S & NORM GIRAUD & MATT ZUBER POST 49’S!! GOOD ROUNDS BY ALL!! posted back to back to back doubles on his next three holes. He found his second triple on #14 which was followed by a double on #15. Denny nailed a par on #16 and bogeyed the tough number 17. The final hole did the rest of the damage as he posted his only quad in his round. Denny finished with (1) par. Nice effort by Ken and good try by Denny. Team #B2: Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: After a couple of tough weeks, Bill finally got his round back into the 40’s, posting a (47) in week 8. Bill started his round with a
double on the 10th hole. He made a bogey on #11 and nailed his first of 2 pars on #12. Bill stuck a bogey on #14 between doubles on 13 & 15. Bill notched his final par on #16. Bill got a bogey on #17 and then got stung by a triple on 18. Bill finished with (2) pars. Ron opened with a triple and made back to back doubles on 11 & 12. Holes #13 & #14 dug into his round as he added 5 extra strokes on both holes. Ron leveled out some posting a double and fol-
lowed with a bogey on #16. The final two holes did the rest of the damage as he took back to back quads. Ron finished with a (63), one strokes worse than last week. Ron and Bill move up one spot in the standings to third place heading into our 2nd position round in week 9.
