TEAM #B4 (TIM WEIGEL & MATT ZUBER) CUT INTO THE LEAD OF TEAM #7 (MIKE KOVE & RAND HEWITT) WHO NOW ONLY LEAD BY 3 POINTS HEADING FOR OUR 2ND POSITION ROUND IN TWO WEEKS! Team #B5: Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: Ernie knocked off 3 strokes from last week coming in with a 52. Ernie had a rough start as he posted an opening quad. He notched bogeys on 11 & 13 with doubles on 12, 14 & 15. He finished with a bogey on 16 and back to back doubles on 17 & 18. Good try Ernie. Steve was unavailable to play and a bank round of 56 was used. Team #B6: Erv Rock & Jim ‘Coach’ Loughead: Jim was still under the weather and a bank round of 58 was used in his absence. Erv went up this week in strokes, posting three more than his last round. Erv got off to a slow start as he made back to back quads for a rough start. After a bogey on #12, Erv added back to back triples on 13 & 14. After posting a dou-
ble on #15, his final three holes did the balance of the damage. He tripled the final par three, and added 11 extra strokes on his final two holes. Erv finished with a 66. Team #B7: Mike Kove & Rand Hewitt: For the second week in a row, Mike and Rand matched scores, this week both had (55’s). Mike’s first four holes told most of the tale on a tough round. An opening double was followed by triples on 11 & 13. Mike stuck in a quad on #12. He found a bogey on #14 and added doubles on his next three holes. Mike finished with a bogey on the par 5 - 18th. Rand also comes in with a 55. Rand started his round with back to back doubles. The par three got him for a triple. One more double and then Rand posted back to back bogeys. His final three holes did the rest of the damage. A double on 15 was followed by a triple on 17. The final hole gouged him for 5 extra strokes. Good effort by both players. Mike and Rand hold on to first place by (3) points. Team #B8: Bill Folson & Brian Hewitt: Bill got started with a bogey but quickly fell
into some trouble. A triple on #11 was followed up with a double on #12. Bill seemed to level out posting pars on 13 & 15 sticking in a bogey on #14. He made a bogey on #16 and then the bottom dropped out on his final two holes. He made back to back triples to drag his round down by 6 more strokes, as he finished with a (49) posting (2) pars. Brian got off to a tough start as well, as he posted an opening quad. He made a triple on #11 but made a bogey on the par three 12th. Holes #13 & #14 cost him back to back triples. It did not seem to get any easier as Brian finished with doubles on the next three holes and a final triple on #18. A valiant effort to Bill & Brian.
