TEAM #B4 (TIM WEIGEL & MATT ZUBER) ONLY GET HALF THEIR POINTS AND STILL MANAGE TO CLIMB TO THE TOP OF THE LEADER BOARD! Team #B2: Bill Marsack & Ron Corfield: Bill Marsack continues to stay in the middle of the 40’s and posts a 44 in week 2. Bill opened with a par on #10 and took a double on #11.

He got rid of one stroke with a birdie on #12.He posted one more par on #15 but lost strokes on last three holes, posting a double, triple and bogey.

Still a nice round Bill M. Ron got stung early on the 10th hole as he opened with a quad. It looked like he recovered ok, posting a bogey on #11 and double on #12.The next three holes did his round in as he made three quads in a row. On more double on #17 and a final knife into his round on #18 as he added (5) extra shots.

Good try Ron with a (62).

HOLE #6 AT GOLDEN HAWK BEFORE THE ‘GOLDEN HAWK’ DISAPPEARED

Team #B3: Larry Ball & Norm Giraud: Larry started his round of 43 with an opening bogey, but notched a par on the 11th hole to get his round off to a decent start. After a bogey on #12, Larry again nailed his second par on #13.He got into a bogey run, posting three in a row before adding a double on #17. Larry finished with a bogey on #18, posting (2) pars in his round. Partner, Norm, had his problems from the opening hole as he came into the clubhouse with a 67. The quad on the first hole led to bacon strips on hole #11. He recovered for two holes, notching back to back bogeys. He made a quad on #14 and followed with back to back triples. The final two holes did the rest of the damage adding 9 additional strokes. A valiant try Norm.

Team #B4: Tim Weigel & Matt Zuber: Matt was unable to attend week 2 and a bank round in week 4 will be used to calculate his scorecard against his opponent. Tim was able to make it and comes in with a 59 in week 2. Time opened with a bogey but got stung by a double on #11.

Another bogey on #12 and then his round seemed to go a bit south. Back to back doubles on 13 & 14 led to a multi-

tude of extra shots on the next 4 holes. Hole #15 & #16 cost him 5 extra shots per hole. Tim finished with a quad on 17 and double on 18. Good try Tim. Team #B5: Ernie Danos & Steve Fleck: Ernie had a little better round from last week, knocking off 4 strokes, coming in with a 55. After an opening triple, Ernie looked like he got it back together. He posted back to back bogeys before it went downhill again. A double & triple on 13 & 14 was followed by another double & triple. Hole #17 did the balance of the damage, as Ernie made a quad. He finished with a bogey on the 18th hole. A valiant effort by Ernie. I see him recovering next round.

LARRY BALL LEADS THE ‘B’ FLIGHT PLAYERS INTO THE 19TH HOLE WITH A (43) WITH BILL MARSACK POSTING A (44)!!

Steve Fleck knocked off 11 strokes from last week coming in with a 51 in week 2. Steve started with back to back doubles, but got nipped by a triple on #12. After the bogey on 13, Steve made a double

on 14. It was back to back bogeys on 15 & 16 before the bottom dropped out again. He finished with back to back doubles.

Good try Steve, and keep up the decent rounds.

Team #B6: Erv Rock & Jim ‘Coach’ Loughead: Both players dropped off some strokes off their scores from last week, but I know they can do even better. Erv came in with a 57. 10 strokes better than last week & Coach came in with a 61, two strokes better than last week. Erv opened with back to back quads to start off on the wrong foot. He made back to back doubles before the double water hole #14 clipped him for another quad. Erv removed a stroke from his card with a great birdie on #15 and followed with a bogey on 16.

He finished with a quad on 17 and double on 18. Good effort by Erv who finished with (1) birdie.

Coach’s card looked just like Erv’s

to start. Opening quads followed by back to back doubles. Coach again found back to back quads on 14 & 15.

Coach nailed a par on #16 and finished with back to back triples on 17 & 18. A valiant effort Coach Loughead who finished with (1) par.

Team #B7: Mike Kove & Rand Hewitt: Mike put together a very nice round and in doing so took most of the points in his round against a very formidable opponent. Mike notched an opening bogey and followed with a very nice par on #11. He struggled a bit on #12 & 13 adding back to back doubles. He played the tough #14 well posting a bogey. Hole #15 cost him three extra shots as he posted a triple. He nailed a birdie on #16 and

finished with back to back doubles.

Nice round Mike. Mike finished with (1) par & (1) birdie. Rand, Mike’s partner is still learning the course and struggled a bit in his round. He opened with a double but the next two holes added back to back triples. Holes 13 & 14 cost him quads.

He seemed to get back into sync as he notched bogeys on 15 & 16. He finished on a low note, posting a double on 17 and a final triple on 18. Still, a very admirable try Rand.

Team #B8: Bill Folsom & Brian Hewitt: Bill seems to be staying consistent in his rounds.

Bill Folsom started his round with an opening double, but notched a very nice par on #11. A bogey on the first par three was followed by a triple on #13 & quad on 14. He again went back to bogeys, posting them on 15 & 16. Hole #17 did the balance of the damage to his round with a triple. He notched a final bogey on #18. Bill finished

with (1) par. Nice effort Bill. Partner Brian Hewitt had his fair share of problems as he too tries to learn the course and struggled to keep his score down. A quad on hole #10 got things off to a very tough start and was followed by 8 extra stokes over the hole par on 11. Brian added a quad on #12 followed by a double on #13. The tough #14 clipped him for a triple. He managed a bogey on 15 and finished his round with doubles on the final three holes. It was a very good

effort by one of our newest league members.

Team #B1: Ken Kelchner & Denny Obenauer: Ken struggled this week and Denny came around with a nice round in the upper 40’s.

Ken still managed to keep it under fifty, coming in with a 47. Ken was sailing alone, as he posted back to back bogeys on his first two holes.

He nailed a par on #12 and then watched his card accept a double on #13. continued bottom left

Ken continued to play bogey golf on the next several holes. He posted them on holes #14, #15, #16 & even the long tough hole #17. That is when hole #18 jumped up and bit into his round with four extra shots over the hole par. Ken finished his round of 47 only posting one par. A decent round, but not what he is used to shooting. As Ken went up four strokes from last week, Denny knocked off three strokes on his round last week, posting a 48.

Denny started with a bogey but

made a double on #11. The par three got him for a bogey, but hole number #13 clipped him for a triple. Denny was one of the few that notched a par on the fourth toughest hole on the back, #14. Denny bogeyed 15 and nailed his second par on #16. The final two holes cut into his round as #17 cost Denny a double. He finished with a triple on the par 5 - 18th hole.

Denny notched (2) pars in a very nice round. Good shooting Denny.

TEAM #A6 (NATE HOOD & TREVOR VALLUS) STAY AT THE TOP OF THE LEADER BOARD AS THEY TAKE 22 POINTS LAST WEEK AND INCREASE THEIR LEAD TO 4 POINTS WITH ROUNDS THAT STILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED!!!

Team #A2: Pat Nellis & Cory Routheaux: Pat continues his fine play as he leads all golfers into the 19th hole with a even par round of 35. He opened with a par on #10 and took his first of two bogeys on #11.

After a nice par on 12, Pat got his round back to even with a birdie on #13. He made the tough number 14 look easy as he nailed his 3rd par of his round. He nailed his second birdie on 15 and followed that with a par on 16. One more bogey, posted on 17 was followed by a par on #18.

Great round Patrick. Pat finished

with ( 5) pars and (2) birdies. Cory had his troubles as he went up four strokes from last week, coming in with a 49. The opening triple got his round off on the wrong foot. He seemed to shrug that off as he posted bogeys on his next three holes, taking him to hole #14. That hole seemed to get him as well, as he made a double on the card. He nailed a well needed par on 15 before the final three holes took their toll on his round. He finished 16, 17 & 18 with doubles, that cost him an extra six strokes. A honorable try Cory. Cory finished with (1) par.

Team #A3: Andre Viger & Ken Huyghe: Andre fell off his upper thirty’s round coming in 5 strokes worse than last week, posting a 44. Andre opened with a double and added back to back bogeys on #11 & #12.

#13 and got stung by a double on 14. He nailed back to back pars on #15 & #16, but fell victim to a double on #17. Andre finished with a bogey on his final hole. Andre finished with (3) pars. Good effort Andre. His partner Ken, dropped off 2 strokes from last weeks round, coming in with a 43. Ken got off to a very nice start, nailing pars on his first two holes.

The missed par putt on hole #12, seemed to take him out of rhythm.

He made a double on #13 and followed that with a triple on #14. Ken notched a par on #15 and then followed with back to back bogeys. Ken

finished on a positive with a par on #18. Nice round Ken. Ken finished with (4) pars.

Team #A4: Ray Ressler & Gary Kwapik: Ray comes into the clubhouse with the same score he posted in week 1, a 42. The opening hole cost Ray his only double of the round.

He then went bogey-bogey on his next two holes to keep his round somewhat in tack. Ray seemed to get on track and nailed pars on his next three holes, taking him to hole #16.

From that point on, he could not drain a par and finished with bogeys on 16, 17 & 18. Ray finished with (3) pars.

Good try Ray. Gary continues to shoot well, but comes in two strokes worse than last week, finishing with a 41. Gary opened with a double on 10 and bogey on 11. He then strung together three pars in a row, holes #12, #13 & #14. He then got into a bogey rut posting them on #15, #16 & #17.

He did finish on a good note posting a par on #18. Gary finished with (4) pars. Nice round Gary.

Team #A5: Warren Hood & Jim Turner: Pastor Hood seemed to struggle in week 2 coming in four shots worse that week 1 with a 45. continued bottom left

The temperatures are heating up and so are the swings of the golfers — Fore!!!!

TEAM PLAYER #A2 PAT NELLIS CONTINUES TO PLAY WELL AND POSTS A EVEN PAR ROUND OF 35 LAST WEEK - GARY KWAPIK POSTS A 41 The opening hole cost Warren a triple but he recovered well nailing back to back pars. He then added back to back bogeys before notching pars on 15 & 16. He struggled on the final two holes, making a triple on 17 and double on 18. Pastor finished with (4) pars. Nice effort Pastor Hood. Pastor Jim comes in with the same round he posted in week one.

Jim opened with a bogey but got bit

by a double on #11. Jim nailed a par on #12 and followed with a double on 13. He nailed his second par on #14.

Jim seemed to follow a pattern as he again posted a double on 15. He bogeyed 16 and found his 4th double on 17. Jim finished with a par on the par 5 - 18th to finish on a good note.

Pastor Turner finished with (3) pars.

Nice round Jim.

MEN’S CHRISTIAN GOLF LEAGUE 2015 Team #A6: Nate Hood & Trevor Vallus: Nate had a tough start in his round of 49 before he got on track in the middle of his round. Nate opened with a triple and then got into a doubles rut. He notched doubles 11, 12 & 13. After a bogey on 14, Nate nailed back to back pars on 15 & 16. He again fell off and posted back to back doubles on his final two holes. Nate finished with (2) pars. Nice try Nate. Trevor knocked off 3 strokes from last weeks round, coming in with a 47. Trevor opened with a very nice par on #10 before faltering with a triple on 11. His next three holes cost him 6 extra strokes as Trevor made doubles on 12, 13 & 14. Trevor then made back to back pars on 15 & 16. Trevor finished with a bogey on the tough 17th and a final double on #18.

Trevor finished with (3) pars in a decent round. Nice job Trevor.

Team #A7: Bill Gaunt & Steve Ciaramitaro: Bill Gaunt had a previous engagement and was unable to make the league night. Steve was able to make it but struggled from the opening hole. Hole number 10 cost Steve 5 extra shots which was followed by a triple on #11.

back triples on #13 & #14. Steve felt a little relief with a bogey on #16 before the bottom caved in again.

Hole #17 cost Steve a triple and #18 cost him a quad.

A valiant effort Steve.

Team #A8: Billy Alessandrini & Doug Busam: Billy got off to a decent start only posting a bogey on the first hole. The 11th bit Billy as he posted a triple on the card. He bogeyed the first par three and then added a double on #13. The bogey on 14 probably felt like a par as he took another double on 15. Billy again found a bogey on #16 and finished with a triple on #17 and double on #18 for a 51. Nice try Billy. Doug Busam also got off to a rough start in his round coming in with a 54. The opening triple was followed up by a double on #11 that got his round off badly. Doug made a bogey on the first par 3 and then it looked like a mirror in reverse this time with a double on 13 & triple on 14. Doug nailed a birdie #15 which was followed by a bogey on #16. The final two holes did major damage to his round. He posted back to back quads that cost him 8 extra strokes on his round and put his round over 50. Doug finished with (1) birdie. Good effort Doug.

HOPEFULLY WITHIN TWO WEEKS WE SHOULD HAVE ALL HANDICAPS AND SCORES POSTED TO ACCURATELY UPDATE THE STANDING SHEETS FOR BOTH DIVISIONS!!!

Team #A1: Brian DeRita & Dominic DeRita: Brian got off to a very rough start, posting an opening triple on #10. He then seemed to get into a bogey mode, posting them on the next three holes. He nailed a birdie on hole #14 before notching a bogey on #15.

Brian made his only par on #16. Brian finished with a double on #17 and final bogey on #18. Brian finished with (1) par and (1) birdie. Nice try Brian.

Dominic followed his fathers lead on the opening hole like his father as he too posted a

triple on #10. He recovered a bit more quickly than Brian as he nailed a birdie on #11 and parred #12. The bogey on #13 didn’t hurt as much as the quad on #14.

Dominic then posted back to back bogeys on 15 & 16. Dominic made a final double on #17 and bogey on #18. Dominic posted (1) par and (1) birdie. A valiant effort Dom.
