TEAM #B4 (TIM WEIGEL & MATT ZUBER) INCREASE THEIR LEAD OVER 2ND PLACE TEAM #B2 (BILL MARSACK & RON CORFIELD) TO [15] POINTS AS WE HEAD INTO OUR 3RD POSITION ROUND NEXT WEEK !! Team #B3: Larry Ball (48) & Norm Giraud (Bk57): Norm was unable to make league night due to work. A bank round of (57) was used to match up against his opponent. Larry finally got back down into the 40’s, posting a (48) in last weeks round. Larry opened his round with a bogey and followed with a double. He nailed a par on the first par three and then took a bogey on the 13th hole. Larry got stung by a double on the tough #14 hole and then went back to back with bogeys. His final two holes did the balance of damage as he posted a final double and a triple on the par 5, 18th. Larry finished with (1) par. Good round Larry. Team #B4: Tim Weigel (47) & Matt Zuber (44): Tim posts his best round of the season coming in with a nice (47). Tim started with a bogey and nailed a par on the 11th hole.
He made back to back bogeys before taking three extra shots on the 14th hole. Tim nailed his second par on hole #15. A final bogey came on #16 and it was a triple on the par 4 - 17th. Tim finished with a final double on hole #18. Tim finished with (2) pars. Matt continues his up and down rounds as he comes in with a decent round of (44). Matt’s golf ball was hot, finding several pars in a row. He opened with (4) straight pars before getting clipped by a triple on hole #14.He then had a bit of trouble as he posted a bogey on #15 followed by back to back doubles. He finished with a bogey on #18. Matt notched (4) pars. Nice rounds by both players, who increase their lead over 2nd place by (6) more points. Team #B5: Ernie Danos (54) & Steve Fleck (Bk59): Steve was unable to make it and a bank round of 59 was used against his opponent. Ernie did make it and had his fair share of problems. For the second week in a row, Ernie posts a (54). Two holes in his round did extensive damage to his round. The first hole cost him a quad. After a bogey on #11, Ernie got nipped by a triple on hole #12. He nailed
His only par on #13. Back to back doubles on #14 & #15 was followed by a bogey on #16.
His final two holes did the rest of the damage. His second quad on #17 was followed by a final double. Ernie notched (1) par. Good try Ernie. Team #B6: Erv Rock (57) & Jim ’Coach’ Loughead: Erv & Coach continue to hand on to 5th place, with Erv coming in with a couple more strokes this week than last week. Erv came into the 19th hole with a (57). After his opening double followed by a triple, Erv nailed a par on hole #12. Then is was on to the double bogey train. Starting on #13, Erv posted four in a row, taking him to his final two holes. Neither one was good to Erv. Continued below
BILL MARSACK LEADS THE ‘B’ FLIGHT INTO THE CLUBHOUSE WITH THE BEST ROUND A VERY NICE [42]~MATT ZUBER POSTS A (44) & KEN KELCHNER COMES IN WITH A (45) & TIM WEIGEL (47) Jim posted his best round of the season, coming in with a (51). Jim took an opening triple but settled down on his next two holes. Jim made back to back bogeys on #11 & #12. Coach also got on a bogey train, making three in a row.
He nailed a par on #16 and the bottom caved in again. He posted a triple on #17 and finished with a double on the par 5 - 18th. Coach finished with (1) par. Good job by both.
