TEAM #B4 (TIM WEIGEL & MATT ZUBER) INCREASE THEIR LEAD OVER 2ND PLACE TO 12 POINTS~MEANWHILE TEAM #B2 (BILL MARSACK & RON CORFIELD) CLIMB TO WITHIN (5) POINTS OF MOVING INTO 2ND PLACE!!! Team #B1: Ken Kelchner (47) & Denny Obenauer (Bk 54): Denny is on vacation and a bank round of (54) was used against his opponent last week. Ken just could not get on track at the start of his round. He posted doubles on #10, #13 & #14 while making bogeys on #11 & #12. After a bogey on #15, Ken notched his only par on #16. One more bogey on #17 and a final double. Ken finished with (1) par. Good try Ken. Team #B2: Bill Marsack (48) & Ron Corfield (63): Bill got off to a very slow start as he posted doubles on the first three holes. He then seemed to level out and made bogeys on #13, #14 & #15 and stuck in a par on the par three 16th. He bogeyed the tough #17 and finished with a triple bogey on #18. Bill notched (1) par. Ron went up three strokes from
last week, coming in with a (63) on the back nine. After opening with a quad, Ron went on a double bogey run. Starting at hole #11, Ron posted 4 doubles in a row. His final four holes did the most damage to his round. After back to back quads, Ron finished with a triple on #17 and added (5) strokes over the hole par on #18. A valiant effort to Ron, and nice try by Bill. Bill & Ron are within striking distances of overtaking 2nd place as they trail by 5. Team #B3: Larry Ball (50) & Norm Giraud (Bk 49): Norm was on a interview and we keep him in our prayers for a positive result. Norm used a bank round (49) against his opponent in week 10. was able to make it and posted a round of (50). He had his fair of problems to start his round. He posted back to back triples. He posted a double on the first par three and then got on a bogey train. He notched (5) straight bogeys to help his round overcome the tough start. He finished with a final double on the 18th hole. Still not a bad round as he hovers around the low fifties for the third week in a row. Good effort Larry.
Team #B4: Matt Zuber (43) & Tim Weigel (52): Matt again had a very nice round as he posts the best round for the B flight. He comes in with a (43). Matt open with a par on the tough starting hole #10. After back to back doubles, Matt got stuck with a triple on hole #13. He made a nice recovery as he notched a par on #14 and nailed a birdie on #15. Once more par, this one on the par three and he finished with back to back bogeys. Matt notched (2) pars and (1) birdie. Tim got started with doubles on #10 and #12 sticking in a couple of bogeys on 11 & 13. Hole number 14 & 15 beat his round up as he posted a quad and followed with a double on #15. He parred the 16th and finished with a double on 17 and triple Continued bottom left
#B4 MATT ZUBER LEADS THE ‘B’ FLIGHT INTO THE CLUBHOUSE WITH THE BEST ROUND ~ A 43 ~ FOLLOWED IN BY KEN KELCHNER (47) & BILL MARSACK (48) on 18, his best round of the season, Tim notched (1) par in his (52). Nice rounds by both players who increase their lead to 12 points. Team #B5: Ernie Danos (51) & Steve Fleck (59):
Ernie went up 3 strokes coming in with a (51). He started rough, posting a quad. He then stuck in a par on #12 between bogeys on 11 & 13. #14 cost Ernie a quad and followed that with a double. He fin-
ished with a par on 16, a double on 17 and triple on 18. Ernie notched (2) pars. Steve first two holes and last two holes cost him two quads and two triples beating down his round from start to finish. He posted
doubles on holes #12, #13 #14 & #15 before stopping them with a triple on #16. Steve comes in with a (59) four strokes worse than last week. Good try by both players.
