ADVANCING YOUR LEGACY

We believe in restoration & hope for every child trafficking survivor.

BL ANKE T

OUR WH Y

We believe all children are created equal and in the image of God. Every child deserves a safe place to lay their head, a safe place to experience childhood.

It’s estimated that 57% of trafficking victims in Alabama are children. While the trafficking industry is a worldwide “business,” many people are surprised to hear that child sex trafficking occurs in all socioeconomic statuses right here in Alabama.

The plan for our restoration home is to show that God leaves the 99 and goes after the 1 (Matthew 18:12). He loves all people equally and longs to see each and every one of us restored.

Children who have been trafficked need specialized, compassionate care and essential services in order to overcome the trauma that has been forced upon them.

While we are faith-based, we do not require the children to share our faith. No child trafficking survivor will be denied services based on religion, race, or sexual orientation. We simply long to show them God’s love.

WHY WE ARE DIFFERE NT:

• Child survivors of sex trafficking need to be surrounded by people that understand their trauma. Often, their actions and reactions are cries for help in disguise. Blanket Fort Hope understands these cries and will be equipped to help them right where they are.

• When a child is rescued from a trafficking situation and not given proper care, there is a huge chance of recidivism. Children often suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. They believe their trafficker is their safe place. Our goal is to provide comprehensive trauma and restorative services to help the survivors transition from fight-or-flight to living in hope.

• Each girl will be provided a private bedroom and bathroom where they can safely rest. For many, this will be the first place they have ever slept and been safe. We estimate that we will serve 30 girls aged 12-19 every year.

OUR PROGR AMS

Since 2015, Blanket Fort Hope has been an advocate of child survivors of human trafficking. Our focus has been on providing training, advocacy, and education in our communities. To date, we have trained over 7,500 individuals to compassionately respond to and identify child sex trafficking survivors.

Our restoration home will serve up to 9 female survivors at a time. We will be able to care for more survivors as we eventually add more cottages and caregivers.

A home designed to move children from “fight or flight” to “living in hope”.

OUR RES TO RATI ON P R OC ESS

We are responding to the urgent need of child survivors of human trafficking in Alabama. Our home model will focus on restoration and hope. Once our children find hope, they’ll realize they can have a life apart from their trafficker. One that is safe. One that has a future.

Blanket Fort Hope is working with Third Lens Ministries, a nonprofit organization which manages the project launch process in order to ensure a successful building project for ministries. The surrounding community has given its support to the project, as Blanket Fort Hope has formed partnerships with Johnson Kreis Construction, Circle H Services, and The Cynthia Johnson Charitable Giving Trust.

Because of these and other partners, this project will move forward with the seal of approval from industry professionals, mitigating the risk of financial misuse, serious delays, and permitting issues.

With your contributions, we are one step closer to realizing the vision of Blanket Fort Hope and creating a safe haven for those seeking comfort and refuge.

While named gifts allow for specific parts of the project to bear the names of our generous supporters, they do not guarantee the immediate construction of those particular elements.

Our project follows a well-thought-out, multi-phase build strategy, prioritizing the completion of essential buildings and facilities first. This approach ensures that we can provide necessary resources and services to those in need as quickly as possible. Rest assured, however, that all named gifts will be honored, and subsequent phases of construction will include the implementation of the named features. Together, we are making a lasting impact, bringing hope and comfort to individuals who deserve it most.

Your gift is an investment in all of the children who will find home and healing here. Blanket Fort Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. EIN: 47-2859137 As such, your donation is tax-deductible.
