Wind Generators Wind generators or combined wind/water generators can contribute significant renewable energy to a yacht’s DC power requirements when sailing and at anchor. It is possible to greatly reduce or even completely eliminate engine running for charging purposes in a yacht to achieve reduced engine hours and save valuable fuel when on a long voyage. Many sailors have been able to produce all their DC energy from the highly efficient Eclectic Energy® D400 and DuoGen when on coastal and ocean passages. As the power output can sometimes exceed the requirements of the boat electrical system, a regulator is required. Wind generators also have land based applications.
Eclectic Energy® Wind Generator - DuoGen The DuoGen is a combined wind and water generator with an integral tower and brackets. This allows it to be mounted on most yachts without the need to manufacture any additional hardware. During sailing, energy production is greater in water mode whilst the wind mode is effective when at anchor. At just over 6 knots of constant boat speed, the DuoGen operating in water mode will produce 200 amp-hours in a 12 volt system per day. This power will be almost double for an increase of 2 knots in boat speed. Compact, Lightweight and Quiet Fischer Panda® are known around the world for class-leading compact marine and vehicle diesel generators. Featuring a highly efficient water cooling system Fischer Panda® generators are renowned for being lightweight, reliable and extremely quiet. A diverse range of performance generators ranging in output from 3.8kW to 170kW are available in configurations to suit any application. For efficient running, Fischer Panda® utilise a highly effective cooling system to ensure temperatures within the sound capsule remain within an acceptable range even in tropical conditions. Eliminating the requirement for free flowing cooling air improves sound insulation and greatly reduces engine noise. All Fischer Panda® marine generators employ a freshwater dual circuit cooling system to cool the diesel motor and the generator. A traditional seawater heat exchanger, manufactured from high quality alloy, cools the recirculating fresh water coolant to maintain constant temperature and optimise performance. Fischer Panda® vehicle generators use an external radiator which circulates normal engine coolant.

Super silent sound insulation Fischer Panda® marine generators up to 25kVA are supplied with a GRP (Glass-Reinforced Plastic) sound insulation capsule lined with 3D sound absorbing material. This provides a sound level that is one of the lowest decibel outputs achievable for diesel generators. Optional 4D sound insulation material is available if even lower noise level is required. Marine generators above 25kVA are supplied with a stainless steel MPL (Metal Professional Line) sound capsule. The MPL casing consists of flat panels which are easy to dismantle and remove so that all parts of the generator can be accessed. Generators from 6.8kW can be supplied with the MPL capsule at an additional cost.

Water cooled engine and alternator One of the reasons for the superior efficiency of Fischer Panda® is the very effective cooling system. It ensures that temperatures inside the sound capsule remain in an acceptable range in all conditions. To prevent galvanic corrosion, Fischer Panda® use a dual circuit cooling system for generator and engine. The engine and generator are cooled by engine coolant. Seawater only comes into contact with the heat exchanger which is made from corrosion resistant cupronickel alloy.
Fischer Panda® asynchronous generators have no rotating coils, no diodes, produce no electrical noise and provide the highest operating protection for professional applications. Fischer Panda® Generator - AGT-DC Series The Fischer Panda® AGT-DC generators produce direct current and are designed to function as an integral part of a combined AC-DC hybrid power system. Each unit constantly monitors onboard battery capacities and when required will start and charge the battery banks automatically. For onboard AC energy requirement, an inverter is utilised to distribute the battery power. The AGT-DC generator system provides power to a typical 12/24 plus 240 volt power combination and does not require the generator to be constantly running. These systems are ideal for varying power demands which do not require a generator to run continuously throughout the day or night.

Fischer Panda® Vehicle Generator TM
ENGINE ROOM & POWER GENERATION
The water-cooled diesel generators from Fischer Panda® are renowned worldwide for being innovative, reliable and extremely quiet. Fischer Panda® vehicle generators feature an effective water-cooling system and lightweight compact construction. This has made Fischer Panda® a leader for professional applications in mobile broadcasting, emergency services, command centres, expedition vehicles, promotion vehicles and luxury RVs. Many design elements are required to work together to achieve the low sound level of Fischer Panda® generators. An efficient water-cooling system requires that the radiator is installed separate from the generator. A flow of cooling air is no longer required inside the capsule which helps maintain constant temperature. Most models up to 25kW are fitted with an internal water-cooled exhaust silencer resulting in cooler exhaust gases, less noise and simpler exhaust installation. PVMV-N, PVK-U and PVK-UK generators (up to 25kW) are fitted with an internal water-cooled exhaust silencer. Fischer Panda® Military Generators Military generators must be capable of running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be totally reliable. Generators must start at below minus 45 degrees Celsius, and work reliably and with high efficiency up to at least 55 degrees Celsius at 3,000 metres above sea level. Sandstorms, rain or snow should not have any adverse effect on generators, while acoustic, electronic and thermal signatures must all be low. Easy access for maintenance is vital and a long operational life is demanded with comprehensive first rate support.

Wheeled and tracked vehicles have become the chosen platform of today’s modern armed forces for deploying powerful electronic systems. Used by NATO, Fischer Panda® generators are designed and built specifically for mobile units requiring an efficient and robust power supply while operating independently for long periods. The aim is to provide efficient and reliable power under harsh and extreme conditions. The modular nature of the generators means they can be built as fully self-contained units in a number of configurations, or installed around the vehicle depending on the space available and the role required.
The Fischer Panda® AC alternators supply electricity with a very clean sine wave suitable for sensitive electrical equipment. They are also capable of providing sufficient power for starting heavier equipment such as environmental control units (ECUs). Fischer Panda® DC generators enhance lighter vehicle systems with powerful charging capabilities enabling indefinite silent running. Using water-cooling and operating within a sound-insulated housing all generators are very quiet, are almost vibration free and have minimal thermal signatures which makes them ideal for front line operations.

Fischer Panda® Seamless Parallel Transfer Unit The Fischer Panda® unit is designed for connecting two Fischer Panda® asynchronous AC Generators in parallel. The unit can be used to synchronise both generators, to switch the load from one generator to another or operate both generators in parallel during peak load periods. A range of units are available to suit varying generator types and power requirements up to 100kW per generator. The parallel power units can be combined with the automatic AC transfer unit into a single housing on request. The parallel transfer unit does not feature load-sharing capabilities for safety reasons. Both generators are coupled and operate together as one unit. To increase operational safety, both generators are shutdown if a system failure occurs. Panel
ENGINE ROOM & POWER GENERATION
The Fischer Panda® parallel iSeries generators are the next generation of compact, super silent and powerful generators for marine and vehicle applications. When weight distribution plays a critical role, two smaller iSeries parallel generators can be installed onboard. Their power can be combined to provide the same performance which would only be available using a single large generator. Simple parallel connection of two outputs means there is no need for a paralleling cabinet. Both generators are fully independent from each other. They have their own controller, inverter and remote panel to enable individual operation. The special inverter design allows parallel operation by synchronising both inverters with a single cable. When operating in parallel the load is shared equally by both generators. The iSeries generators are light and compact, offering up to 30% weight and space saving. Fischer Panda® Installation Kits - Premium The Premium kit contains the components of the basic installation kit plus an exhaust gas/water separator unit which achieves further noise reduction. The exhaust gas/water separator unit strongly reduces the exhaust noise; the "water splash" in particular is totally eliminated. Additionally, the exhaust gas/water separator unit functions as an exhaust gas goose neck, which prevents the water from flowing back into the generator.

Fuel Filter with Water Separator It is important to fit a good quality fuel filter in diesel engines and generator installations as water in diesel fuel is a major cause of expensive damage to diesel engines. Fuel filters with water separators are designed to provide protection to the diesel fuel system. Both filters have four ports, requiring 2x Plugs (2x SP33336988) and 2x Hose Tails (2x SP33336990 or 2x SP33336992). An optional electric sensor that detects water in the fuel can be added.

Fischer Panda® Control Panel
- Master/Slave Adapter P6 Plus
A master/slave combination makes it possible to operate the Genset with two remote control panels. For example, the Genset can be started up with one remote control panel and stopped with the other. Connecting a second remote control panel affords better control options, which will increase safety. The main panel acts as the "master panel" to which the Genset is connected. The second remote control panel – the "slave panel" which works in parallel with the main (master) panel, i.e. the Genset can be operated with either the main panel or the slave panel.

Sierra Silicone Exhaust Coupler
Exhaust Hose
These blue silicone exhaust couplers provide simple manifold to solid exhaust pipe connection with angular and longitudinal misalignment compensation in wet exhaust systems. They also provide essential vibration absorption. The silicone couplers are stable at elevated temperatures, resistant to exhaust gas, antifreeze and salt water. Temperature range: -28C° to +175°C
The inner tube of this hose is constructed of nitrile black rubber that is exhaust gas, fuel and fire resistant, whilst the outer cover is manufactured from an NBR/CR blend which provides good resistance to abrasion, hydrocarbons and fire. It is strengthened by high tensile cords with embedded steel helix wires to avoid kinking on bends or collapsing. This hose is suitable for wet marine exhausts, fuel delivery and hydraulic suction. Its temperature tolerance is -25ºC to +110°C. For sizes up to 50mm ID. SAE J1527/A, ISO 7840 A1 CE.

These highly polished, cast 316 grade stainless steel exhaust outlets include an integral, matte black powder coated stainless steel flapper valve to inhibit water intrusion back into the exhaust system. Foam Sound Insulation - Decoupling Decoupling foam is a composite sandwich material comprising of a flexible high mass noise barrier laminated between two layers of flexible acoustic foam. It increases sound transmission loss and provides sound absorption. Ideal for engine rooms or anywhere that requires noise control.
