Directors' Message

We hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Year break, and we wish you and your families best wishes for 2025

As we have communicated previously, although 2024 saw a reduction in our turnover, it was nonetheless still a successful year and once again we are grateful for the efforts of the entire Blackwood team in continuing to work hard to deliver a quality product and service to all our customers

The year ahead will be another busy but exciting period for the business as we grow our customer and product base, continue to improve our factory and facilities, and as we improve our internal processes and systems. In terms of new business in 2025, we are looking forward to the commencement of the supply of the Caterpillar Trident products at our Blaina factory, JLG France and Liebherr Austria products from our Dilsen factory and the 467 project for JCB Earthmovers in Aberbeeg, securing over 13 parts for the same machine. In terms of some longer-term projects, we are also working extremely hard to establish the supply of fabricated counterweights from our Dilsen factory, and to establish a factory in Texas to supply JCB's new factory that is scheduled to open in 2026

Directors' Message

Regarding our factories, 2025 is an exciting year for us as we will complete the factory extension and welfare block in Blaina, which will significantly improve our facility and increase capacity. In Aberbeeg, the year ahead will see us install the long-awaited replacement warehouse roof, and we will continue to improve our facilities with new equipment such as the centralised dust extraction system, and we will also continue with our 5S activities across the factory At the Dilsen site, within the next month we will complete the new paint booth investment, and we will also again continue with various investments and improvements across the factory.

In addition to bringing new work into the business and investing in our facilities, our system and processes that underpin how we work in the business must be the strongest possible While various continual improvement initiatives are ongoing in the business in this area, the biggest change planned for this year is the implementation of the cloud version of our Winman ERP system. The new system will significantly improve the way we work as a business, but it will take the commitment and focus of all departments across the business to achieve a successful implementation In summary the year ahead will be busy and exciting as we work to grow and develop the business, and we look forward to the entire Blackwood team working together to make 2025 a successful year.
