President’s Message I wish to extend my deep appreciation to our community and surrounding communities for the support that you give to our Fair. To our local and out of town businesses, big and small, who give generously year after year towards this large family event. Your support is crucial to the success of our Fair. To all our volunteers, individual and groups, of all ages, “Thank You”. We could not do without you! The work bees leading up to the Fair and of course throughout all of Fair weekend, we could not manage without your help. We are happy to announce that Helicopter Rides will be back in 2017. This is a very generous donation from Canadian Helicopters in Smithers. We are expanding the Lawn Mower Races and of course there are always new activities and entertainment in the Children’s Festival area. New in 2017, will be “Randa’s Rascals”, Dog Obedience and Agility, visiting from Vanderhoof. Randa

will be set up in our Children’s area. Plan to take in the Heritage demonstrations that are set up in the Exhibit Hall. Check the gate program for scheduled times. I would like to commend the Purebred Livestock Breeders who come from great distances, who have helped us build our Fair to what it is today. We have a full weekend of fun, so be sure to take time to visit the many events that are planned. We encourage you to exhibit at the Fair and to all those attending, we wish you a great time. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all those visitors from out of town. We hope you enjoy all that is offered for your participation and entertainment. I look forward to seeing you this September 8, 9 & 10, at the Fair! Joan McFee - President Lakes District Fall Fair Association
