Voting begins for Best of Richmond 2015 edition of annual readers’ survey offers chance to win a new Apple Watch by Matthew Hoekstra Staff Reporter The Richmond Review is calling on readers to participate in this newspaper’s eighth annual survey of what makes Richmond a fine city. And one participant will win a much anticipated high-tech prize. Best of Richmond 2015 is a readers’ poll of our community’s second-to-none shopping and services, renowned restaurants and nonpareil neighbourhoods. It also asks readers to share lighter thoughts on living here with categories such as Best Memory of Old Richmond and Best Place to Spot a Celebrity. Online voting begins today (Friday), and results will be published in a special edition May 29. “Best of Richmond is a way for us to highlight the people and places that make this city great,” said Pierre Pelletier, publisher of The Richmond Review. “We’re looking forward to discovering our readers’ favourites for 2015—both well-known haunts and hidden gems.” Familiar categories such as Best Lawyer, Best Sushi and Best Place to Take a Tourist are back, along with new ones including Best New Restaurant, Best Indoor Entertainment and Best Sports Coach. Best of Richmond began in 2008 as a way to highlight the people and places that make Richmond a great city. All entrants who complete a minimum of 10 categories will be entered into a random draw to win an Apple Watch—a wrist-worn computing device that interacts with Apple smartphones. Vote at richmondreview.com/contests until May 1 or fill out a ballot on Page 6 in today’s Review.
