Nezul Be Hunuyeh, part of the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada, opened its doors to the public last weekend as part of a barbecue and open house celebrating the completion of renovations to their building. The open-house was held at the newly renovated Nezul Be Hunuyeh office building across from Cottonwood Park. Dozens of people, including Nak’azdli Chief Fred Sam and Tl’azt’en acting Chief Paul Felix, came out throughout the afternoon to tour the new parts of the building. Prince addressed the crowd to thank the staff for their patience and hard work. “I’d like to welcome everyone here, I know this has been a long haul for the staff, they’ve been worked to the bone. They’ve also had a lot of patience while the building has been in progress,” said Prince. Prince said that the completion of the building addition was anoth-

Adding “I think this is a facility that will help us to get on that path and stay on it.” The renovations began in October of 2012 and will help to facilitate the work Nezul Be does within the first nations community.
