A Meadowbrook man will spend 15 months in jail after pleading guilty to drug trafficking in Cranbrook Provincial Court. Dustin McKay was in court on Monday, June 3 before Judge Ron Webb and he pleaded guilty to two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police have shut down a Cranbrook drug operation that was suspected to be selling to students at the nearby Parkland

Middle School. On Thursday, May 30, Cranbrook RCMP used a warrant to search a home on 2nd Avenue South in Cranbrook, directly across the street from Parkland School. “Police had received information that the subjects were actively involved in trafficking and selling to students. This heightened police concern and an investigation was quickly initiated,” said Cpl.
