areas of priority for the next year. Sgt. Laurie Jalbert of the Kimberley Detachment visited Council this week to deliver the First Quarter Report and shared with Council the priorities for 2013. They are: 1) Distracted drivers/cell phones 2) Long boards/skate boards 3) Alcohol/Raves 4) Drug Trafficking

5) Prolific Offenders These will be areas of focus and progress will be reported to Council, but they are by no means the only areas of attention. As for the priorities, distracted driving, especially with cell phones continues to be an issue both in Kimberley and Cranbrook, and will remain an area of focus, Jalbert said. The issue of long boarders is arising more and more, Jalbert said.
