Islanders open season with wins The Delta Islanders’ Junior A and Intermediate A box lacrosse teams opened the regular season in style last weekend, posting a pair of decisive wins over the Burnaby Lakers. The Junior A Islanders impressed fans at their home opener Saturday night at the Ladner Arena as they made short work of the visiting Lakers to beat them 15-4, while the Intermediate A Islanders won 21-12 on Friday. ❙ See story, P.25
