West Fraser commits $2.5M to CNC Quesnel campus AUTUMN MacDONALD Observer Reporter West Fraser has committed $2.5 million to the College of New Caledonia over the next 10 years. The donation will be done yearly in $250,000 installments, all funds remain at the Quesnel campus – in return “Phase II” has officially been named the West Fraser Technical Centre. “These are challenging times,” CNC president
John Bowman said. “Financial contributions are really important, really significant – it is the future of this campus.” CNC and West Fraser signed an educational partnership June, 2012, which made the Quesnel campus the “College of Choice” for West Fraser employees. Since then, CNC Quesnel has filled two of its millwright classes with West Fraser employees from B.C. and Alberta.
