Gun ammo could be hard to get hoarding Americans create supply shortage by Ne i l Cor be tt staff reporter
Colleen Flanagan/The news
Craig Jones , co-owner of Wanstalls, holds a .223 Remington bullet, an example of the ammunition that he is worried about becoming low on stock because of changes to U.S. gun laws.
Hunters and target shooters are going to find ammunition in short supply as their neighbours south of the border hoard bullets in anticipation of changes to U.S. gun laws. In the wake of the worst school shooting in U.S. history, President Barack Obama has called for limits on Americans’ second amendment right to bear arms in favour of gun control. The U.S. public has responded by buying up weapons and ammo. Wanstalls, which sells tactical and sporting arms and supplies in Maple Ridge, is already seeing a dearth of the popular .223 calibre rounds, and co-owner Craig Jones anticipates that the massive U.S. demand is going to make popular ammunition such as 9 mm and .45 cal handgun rounds difficult to get. see Ammunition, p9

You are just sorry you got caught.” Originally charged with more serious offence of possessing and distributing child pornography, Warrington pleaded guilty in December to a less-
er count of distributing obscene material for posting three photographs of the girl on Facebook. The photographs were graphic close-ups of a couple having sex – the faces of the girl and boy obscured. The Sept. 10, 2010 party held at a farm on Harris Road, dubbed Another Night in Bangkok, drew hundreds of teens and young adults. The young woman, 16 at the time, went to the rave with a group of friends. “Just like everyone else at the party, we did bring alcohol,” she said, but noted she didn’t plan on getting very
